My daughter and I recently went with Rockport Tours on a Norwegian cruise ship through the Inside Passage in Alaska. The trip was wonderful!! Being from south Texas, the cooler temperatures were a big relief from our already hot temps here. The scenery was magnificent, I loved the snowcapped mountains, and really enjoyed the side trips we purchased, flying over icy glaciers, seeing bears in their natural habitat, and experiencing the city of Victoria. Also, we enjoyed our cabin and cant brag enough about the service. Food and drinks were excellent, and even my foody daughter was impressed. The only problem we have had were the crowds, especially on the first day of embarkatiion. We had registered online for the earliest time available - which was 12 noon, but when we got to the pier with our bus around 10, they ushered everyone in to enter the building, disregarding the time they registered for, to move through the process of getting onto the ship. Lots of walking and standing in unending switchbacks, I was totally exhausted. My daughter's fitbit registered over 9000 steps that day! My suggestion to our tour manager would be to maybe first go on a city tour of Seattle, and then board the ship in the later afternoon when the crowds would have thinned out and the cabins would be ready to enter also. There were a couple of other minor problems, but otherwise, as I said, the trip was great. read more

we went on the tour to King Ranch, the tour was completely unorganized, we got off bus to go to museum, they were not ready for us, we were on the bus for 5 hours, we made no stops at king ranch , just drove through. the tour guide would have been good, but sound system was broken! the bus drove around block a lot , they didn't seem to know where they were going. bus driver seemed to be inexperienced. it was so disappointing not to stop at ranch. we were told we were behind schedule. what!! i did not get that. I didn't see one horse, we saw longhorns, I would have liked to see them closer, one deer , one pig , and sand hill cranes. lunch was good. museum was disappointing too 2 rooms , couldn't take pictures. never again read more

Just for the record...Rockport Tours had the rudest bus attendant I have ever ridden with in all the years we have been going. I will NEVER set foot on one of their buses again and I would advise anyone I know not to give them a dime. Mike (owner) isn't any better IMHO. It's not that far of a drive. JUST DRIVE IT! More fun anyway!! The bus parks as far away as possible and makes you walk across the bridge. The woman is a horrible customer relations person who has no business dealing with the public. She was very unpleasant because she had been at the dentista all day not having any fun. NOT MY FAULT AND DON'T TAKE IT OUT ON CUSTOMERS! I had several nice elderly people come up to me when we stopped at the fruit stand and tell me I had every reason to be mad because that woman was extremely out of line and rude and what she said and did to us was uncalled for. She made it very clear if we weren't back on the bus right at 3:00, she would leave us and not to try her because she had an important date Saturday night with a bottle of wine and she has left people over there before. THREATENING US!! WE WERE NOT LATE! She threatened to throw me off the bus and call the police because I stopped to pay the tax on a couple bottles of liquor and a carton of cigarettes for my friend. I told her to do it and if she left us before 3:00 they would be hearing from my lawyer. She and driver both shaddup then. Even with them bitching and complaining...the bus STILL pulled out of the parking lot at 2:59!!! The buses are old, the driver ran off the wet roads numerous times and I thought we were going to get killed. One of the last trips my friends went on the bus broke down and everyone had to get off and wait for them to come fix it. ROCKPORT BUS IS NO BUENO! DO NOT GO! This is my public service announcement for anyone entertaining the thought of traveling with these folks. JUST DO NOT EVER! AND BE SURE AND TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS SO THEY DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF GOING EITHER! IF I FIND ANOTHER CHARTER BUS, I WILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED!I wouldn't even give them one star after the horrific experience we just had. Rudest folks I've ever encountered for someone who depends on their returning customers and to spread the word. I plan on telling everyone I know what happened. I just returned from Coushatta going with Rockport Tours, being picked up in Victoria Texas. The driver of the bus was extremely careful. Tour guide, Suzy, was informative and helpful. I was very pleased with Rockport Tours and will book with them again soon. Coushatta gambling for me was good but not for everyone. Machines were tight. regarding kikkapoo casino trip 2/8/17; a full bus packed up tight on it's merry way for a 4 hour ride to+a 5 hour ride back from hell.....when departing Corpus we asked that the A/C be adjusted cause it was rather warm. They said they adjusted the A/C as soon as the last few souls were loaded aboard at Callalen. No mention that there was no A/C, that it was broken!!!!! Elderly people stuffed in a rolling can with no windows to open. On arrival, bus emptied and left to sit in the sun all day awaiting it's group to be loaded aboard. Tour Operator said sorry, unable to repair but they did stop for a small bag of ice and cups to spread out among the rapidly dehydrating souls. Bottled water normally provided was hot, no ice chest on this trip. I drank a liter of iced tea plus chilled water at the truck stop in Encinal,Tx Never had to Pee! My life and health will never be risked again, due to some fools incompetence. read more
