We decided to have a 60th birthday celebration at Rusty Rooster's Ice House b/c we frequently stop in when we are in town b/c of the service and great atmosphere. We made the right choice. Owners, Issabelle and Joe went above and beyond accommodating our request. Their staff were pleasant and friendly and the prices were great. We had food catered however they always have local food trucks to accommodate the late night hunger. If you're in town you MUST stop by. They always have the games on their TV's for football, baseball or basketball. One thing I have to say about Issabelle and Joe, is they are BIG on giving back to their community and I support that all day everyday! Thank you Rusty Rooster, until next time!

Weekends that I know of has a DJ after 11pm but he places what the manager wants not what the customers want. The people don't dance here unless its the cha cha slide then they go right back to drinking even with dancing space. There is no food served here. Cops are on location during the evening to check IDs. I come because its local and you can get out of the house without heading to Corpus but its not the ideal spot for going out if you have a choice.

It's strange…read morebecause I'm not really a diarrhea guy, like I eat all kinds of sketchy stuff, super spicy food, food from back alleys in third world countries at three in the morning, and I'm as regular as the US Mail, but two of the last four times I've eaten there I didn't even make it out of the restaurant before I had to go unleash the hounds. And last time there was some weird kid that kept going in the bathroom and I'm pretty sure he was peeing on the walls, but that's not the restaurant's fault. He was one of those guys who looks really weird so people feel sorry for him and let him get away with all kind of gross behavior. And to be fair I don't know if it was him. I just suspect him because he went to the bathroom like six times before I went in there. But maybe the food gives him diarrhea too and I'm just being presumptuous. Maybe some totally normal looking dude was the wall pee-er. How do you spell that? It can't be peer, because that's a totally different word. But peeer can't be right either. It was Very dark getting from the car to the front door. Reminded me of old fashioned diner food. I did like their sports memorabilia on the wall. My suggestion to management: light up the sign outside at night, season the food and speed up the service.
