Great food yummy burgers and onion rings. Excellent service . Homemade delicious, very clean dinning room.

Food was mediocre. My husband got a Philly cheese steak and he said his was ok. I got the hamburger steak special and it didn't seem to have any seasoning on it -- just seemed like someone had taken the raw meat out of the package and squeezed it once or twice and put it on the grill. The green beans were pretty good. The service was slow. We sat in one of the front 4 booths. The bar in the back of the restaurant sounded like a party was going on the whole time we were there. The sign out front was not visible at night. I used the GPS to figure out where the place was. Parking was on the street and we parked within 50 feet of the front door. It was Very dark getting from the car to the front door. Reminded me of old fashioned diner food. I did like their sports memorabilia on the wall. My suggestion to management: light up the sign outside at night, season the food and speed up the service. read more

Great food and atmosphere. They have daily specials with descent service. The bar in the back can get rowdy, but hey, it's a bar.

Food is in my opinion is some of the best tasting here in town...but the service is unreal...called to place an order and was on hold for over 9 minutes so I decided to drive over there and place my order. The only reason I did not go anywhere else is cause I'm really craving there chicken fried steak sandwich. Solid restaurant with a wide variety of menu options. The cheese burger was very good. Well prepared, juicy, fresh vegetables, and a nice toasted bun. Onion rings were plentiful and tasty. So I call in an order at 6:08, walk in and pay at 6:34 judging by the receipt, and sit down and wait for what I assume is still cooking food. Turns out the waitress that took my card for payment didn't even look to her side to confirm that my order was done all along, and let it sit until one of the other 5+ waitresses thankfully asked what I was waiting for almost thirty minutes later. Ended up walking out with my now cold food at 7:02 and my wallet $28 lighter for a meal not worth half the price. The reason it's 2 stars instead of 1 is that I could tell the food would have been just fine if not at least acceptable if it was fresh, but by the time it finally got into my truck the philly was cool and soggy, the onion rings were plain cold and bready as the once crispy batter soaked up more than half an hour of moisture, and same for the stuffed jalapenos. read more

We were passing through Alice and was looking for a place for a late lunch. I was craving a fried chicken sandwich and wife wanted a burger. I must say this place was better than my expectations. The food was fresh. My CFC sandwich was HUGE, a bit greasy but very good. The wife got a KSG burger (1/3#) and she loved it. Hand batter onion rings were very good. Service was good and very friendly. Price for portion size was excellent. I saw one of the Chicken fried steaks go past and it looked pretty large. Highly recommend this place. read more

Went during my lunch hour and it was the worst experience yet again. I decided to give this place a second chance thinking the first time was just a bad day ....that wasn't the case. The waitress was very nice but it took almost 10 minutes to ask for my drink order. Really good food! My burger with grilled onions, cheese, and bacon was hard to stop eating. The $9 sampler appetizer was huge! It came with buffalo wings, onion rings, fried mushrooms, cheese sticks and fried mushrooms. The three of us maybe ate half of it. Service was terrible! It took about twenty minutes to receive our drinks. We diet cokes and they were pretty flat tasting. So, we asked for bottled soda instead. That took another twenty minutes. We only got our drinks because I got up to ask another waitress if we could have our drinks. She was polite enough to help even though she wasn't working our table. About 40 minutes go by and we finally get to put our order in... It took about another 30-40 minutes to receive our food. I had to remind our waitress what we ordered. Apparently, the cooks never got our order. The food was mediocre at best. I tried giving this place a chance after having terrible experiences in years past. Not much has changed. What a neat little place! I'm visiting from Sugar Land and my best friend and I were looking for a lunch spot when we stumbled upon this little gem via Yelp. We were greeted by the owner, who happens to be a graduate of TAMUK (our alma mater). I had the lunch special chicken fried chicken and my friend had the chicken Alfredo. Both were absolutely delicious! We also had the fried mushroom appetizer - super yummy! The service was first class and the food was delicious. A group of us went to King Street Grill today to celebrate a couple of birthdays and we thoroughly enjoyed our outing!! The food is wonderful and they even make their own rolls, which are delicious!! Many yummy selections on the menu! The service is quick and the waiters/waitresses are super nice! We will definitely be dining out at King Street Grill again! Good job, guys! read more
