I was dining alone on a Friday at lunchtime. The place was fairly slow, and I did not feel awkward. My server checked in a couple of times and kept my iced tea refilled. It was hot and humid outside that day. The cafe was air conditioned, but it still felt humid inside, and the ice in my drink melted quickly.
