Of course, until he was called for National Gard duty and couldn't. He talked me thru the procedure, I'm pretty handy, and I thought I could do it. I started, but I am 63 and everything was so heavy! I was getting pretty tired and scared. I decided to call for help. Thank goodness I contacted Jake at Jerry's Pump service! The call was in the evening, maybe 7:30. He was planning on going out to dinner, but realized how much I needed help and came quickly. He straightened out my mess, installed the new pump and explained how it all worked. I was so happy! Two guys came out, never pinpointed the leak, checked out the well and told me the equipment they needed to remove the old well pump was all busted and they didn't know when it would be fixed. They told me their boss would call me the next week. then they jumped in the truck and were quickly hauling out of there. Never heard from their boss. I guess finding the leak and installing a new well pump was a bridge too far for them.
