Just like Murphy's Law stated, my well pump stopped working on a Holiday Weekend. I had company, and after the July 4th weekend, all everyone wanted was a shower on Sunday. Unfortunately, I was notified at 530a that the water was to a trickle. After a few YouTube videos, I knew I had to reach out to a professional.
One call, thirty minutes, no callback from Company A(AA). John at McHenry Well and Pump answered on my first try. Call was placed at 1030, and he arrived shortly after 1130.
John was not going right for the high dollar items. He checked switches and easy fixes first. My problem was complicated as it involved multiple issues/failures. After replacing a faulty switch, he started electrical troubleshooting after getting abnormal readings. His diagnosis was correct: a faulty wire on my pump more than 30 ft down. He offered multiple solutions, including a fix to the wiring and reusing the existing pump. After explaining the situation, I decided to install a new pump with a better wiring solution.
I cannot thank John enough for his expertise, commitment, and patience. He answered all my questions, provided an extremely competitive price, along with quality work. He even chlorinated my well and explained maintenance procedures to extend the life of my system. Thanks "other guy" for not calling me back! John, Melissa and I thank you for a fantastic experience! Replacing a well pump was always a big concern of mine, but McHenry Well and Pump makes it painless. Highly recommend! read more
