Terrible! Our first summer after moving to Kane County, we experienced low water pressure from our well. Several neighbors recommended calling a well company to ask if they could lower our pump. I found this company in the phone book and arranged to have them come over to the house. The person who arrived ("J") identified himself as the owner of the company and explained they would raise the old pump, add another length of pipe, then lower the pump back into the well. I left for work and asked my pregnant wife to call when they were done. She called a few hours later. She said the water ran for a few minutes, then turned brown and stopped. I called the company back and asked if they could explain what was happening. "J" said the water was probably brown because the water in the bottom of the well had been disturbed and, given some time, would settle down. I explained that we had *no* water, not just brown water. "J" said he would come out and take a look. Some time later, "J" came over and was in a bad mood. He claimed we must have done something wrong. He stated his son, not him, had actually done the work. He set up his rig to pull the pump back up and I left him to his work. A short time later, he got me and said he found the problem. The pump had been lowered into muck at the bottom of the well and was ruined. I asked how such a thing could happen. He said the pump must have been lowered by the previous home owner. I asked if they had measured the well depth and pump depth before they made any changes. At this point, "J" started to get extremely agitated and began cursing. He said it was my responsibility to know the depth of my well and pump and that it was my fault they dropped the pump to the bottom of the well and broke it. (I have pictures if anyone wants to see.) When I asked how he was going to fix the problem, he said he wasn't, raised his voice at me and left. That night, my pregnant wife, infant child and I were able to run a hose from a neighbor's house to get water for basic chores. I had a flight out of town the next morning for business. Had I known how "J" was going to respond when I called, I would have cancelled my trip. I called "J" while I was sitting at the gate waiting to board my plane. I asked "J" to replace our pump and we'd call it good. He screamed and cursed at me. He told me it was my fault for not knowing the depth of my well. He called me several names. I told him I needed the situation to be fixed, that I was leaving town and my wife and kid needed water. He yelled at me some more and hung up. When I arrived at my destination, I was able to call another well company who came out and installed a new pump the same day. The cost was over $1500. I also had to replace my water treatment machines, as the burst of mud from the bottom of the well destroyed them, too. The cost for them was over $1000. I do not recommend this company. read more

These guys were great from day one. Originally i had called after my property starting losing water pressure and i explained what well company i had been using before reaching out to them. The owner Jack walked me thru some basic things that i could do over the phone to test my own pressure and even gave me a better understanding of my system without even coming to my home. Shortly after i decided to call the original wellcompany to give them another chance and let them fix their own work, he came into my house did not perform any tests and said I'll need a new well pump. I decided that i was done with my old well guys and called back Suburban Well. In a couple of days they sent Jason to my property he ran some tests, replaced a switch, and made some minor adjustments to the system and like that i had pressure. Jason even went as far to give me a list of other companies to call so that i could get a better quality softner. Bottom line Suburban Well is my new company from this day forward. They were honest and very descriptive on everything that needed to happen and be completed. Thank you Suburban Well for helping us out and thank you Jason for not making me feel like an idiot and actually teaching me about the well system unlike the previous company we used. read more

I had begged multiple companies to come help us as the iron from our well was dumping into our water in our home. I called multiple companies every day for 3 weeks and I could not get them to come out and help. Finally I tried Suburban Well Drilling and even though we were out of the servicing area they still came out to help us. Jason came by and was so knowledgeable about the well, pressure tanks, and softner systems. He took the time to explain everything he was doing, what he was seeing, and what we could do to help the water in the future. If you ever need well service I highly recommend calling them first. Paid $17k for a new well that is giving me problems since installation 2 months ago Jan 2015. Jack says they don't guarentee "Hinckley Schmidt" water. The water is visibly cloudy after a filter and water softener on a very pricey 565 foot well. Water turns MILKY when it's being used in high volume. 2nd well company called to evaluate job with camera scoped the well and are writing a report on deficiencies. Initial bid under $9k. All work performed has cost more than original quote. Job site and attention to detail sloppy. Water leak in crawl left for me to "discover" when pump turned on for 1st use. Electrical panel had wires disconnected and left disconnected (required hiring electrician to solve) and Suburban reused old equipment to cut costs but did not inform me. I understand things go wrong in business and I am giving him opportunity to make it right. I will update this post upon resolution (if any). Warranty on work/workmanship questionable. read more

After calling a few other companies who i kicked out of my house for the way they talked down to me, I contacted Suburban Well.
