Yes, I'm reviewing a city CVS. First, it's not the best place to come to for meds. Even if you call…read moreahead a lot of times they don't fill your prescription until you come, there's no place to sit, and the pharmacist assistant makes you feel like a burden for picking up medicine. Eek. But otherwise, as a convenience store CVS, this place is great. Larry the manager is always extremely talkative and friendly, and all of the other staff in the front are great. They make a point of saying hi to everyone who walks in. The CVS doesn't have a cooler case like a lot do, which is a downside. However for being in a city it always seems clean and well stocked. They renovated it a few months ago and got rid of some of the cases and stands in the front, a needed improvement so people have a place to stand in line -- also looks cleaner. Always efficient and helpful. Not 24 hours so check hours before you go!

People who deal with people getting life changing medications shouldn't look like they don't care about you. He doesn't care and won't even look at you. Anytime you see him he looks extremely upset to be there. He shouldn't be working as a physician if he does not want to help people. He cares about lunch and getting off of work. AVOID THIS PHARMACY EVEN IF YOU LIVE IN THE AREA. Go to Lakewood, they will take better care of you there. This pharmacy should not exist. Replace it with a Walgreens or just get better pharmacists all around. They will close the pharmacy 5 minutes before closing time. They just simply don't care. This is the worst cvs that ever existed!!!!!

I don't expect much from Walmart, but even by this standard, this was a really horrible location…read more The spray paint cans were all under lock and key. That wouldn't be so bad, except that there weren't any sales associates around who could open up the glass case for me. I decided to go elsewhere for a can of Krylon instead. Much of the men's underwear was also locked away in a glass case. Not the good moisture-wicking stuff, mind you. It was the cheaper Fruit of the Loom underwear that was locked away, bizarrely enough. Do they really have a problem with people stealing or vandalizing the cheap underwear? And not the more expensive stuff? Again, this wouldn't be a bit deal if a sales associate was available. The grocery selection wasn't great in comparison to the other Walmart locations either. And many of their suitcases had no price tags or price signage available. How do they expect to sell these things? This strikes me as a place where the management has pretty much given up on trying to sell stuff.

First off, walking through the store I could smell weed. And no body was that close to me so I questioned if someone was actually using a pen inside the store. They were prepping for restocking but it was a mess. No order. Employees on the isles didn't greet you, but kept their music playing loudly (loved all the profanity!). And checkout was ridiculous. I was told (after I was already ringing up items) "No self-checkout!" on the self-checkout line that was green. The same person who shouted that, was standing right there as I walked up and started ringing up my items. And I walked past a handful of employees as I made my way back to the exit only to be told when I was almost there "You can't exit that way." Cool cool cool. Poor customer service. Messy store. Avoid it.

If you need certain items like nail clippers it's nice that there is a place within walking distance that has them. But that's about all they have going for them. It is beyond understaffed. This is not the employees fault, I get that. But the line is always do long. Like you need to budget ten minutes of line time. Even though there are never many customers. And often because they will have only one non-pharmacy employee in the store, they will be stocking or something so you get to stand around waiting for someone to check you out. Again, not the employees fault, but still makes for an awful experience, When it comes to the actual pharmacy, it's a whole other level of incompetence. I can't even describe the number of times they have made errors. (Not the wrong meds thank gosh, but not billing the correct insurance and stuff like that.) And you would think that if you called in a refill before 8 AM that it would be ready by 6 PM. Nope. I hate to say it, but this CVS is truly awful. It's the worst CVS I've ever been to, and we all know CVS is generally awful so that is saying something.

They have quite a selection of whatever you might need and on top of that they're right next door to Heinen's, which is a wonderful store. While I was picking up my script, the druggist suggested I update my annual shots which I did to get that out of the way. On the way out I saw and bought a number of things I needed because of the vast diversity of what they carry. I am pleased at the store's location and its service. I do not understand how other reviewers gave such nasty reviews. They all must have been having a really bad day.

Unfortunately, the current system does the opposite. Why is only one screen available? Pickup lines have become noticeably longer as pharmacy technicians wait for customers to repeatedly enter information across multiple screens: first name, last name, birth month, birth day, and now even an additional screen to validate phone numbers and email addresses. I do not desire to scan a customer loyalty card. This violates my purchasing privacy. Despite the excessive inputs required, only one kiosk screen is available for use. This design flaw consistently results in lines 10-15 customers deep, while a technician stands by simply watching the slow process play out. This is an inefficient use of both technology and staff time. My recent experiences have made it clear that this system is hindering customer service rather than improving it. As a result, I will be moving my prescriptions elsewhere.
