Enployee buying secret items he had hiding in the back of the store

If you actually thrift, This is not the place to shop they charge 13.99$ for collard shirts all bc it's got one tiny brand marking , it's clearly priced high so the half off day will still bring high dollar. Few stories circulating amongst many people familiar with thrifting - of a back door buyer & his father the said to be the " Sprenger" family said to have a deal struck w employees ... I've shopped this location daily and it's cooked don't waste your time they're not letting the good stuff come out , along w workers shopping in the back on their days off. Dreadlocks and the blonde are clearly thrifters... it's obvious that an employee has got it wrapped up tight, no vintage if it's not garbage, then you won't peep a single vintage thread coming out the back. What's the point ? There's not one. It's getting ridiculous. Many people are aware what goes on at this location among others doing the same tactics - what a shame

As with any thrift store it is a very hit or miss as to finding anything exciting but that is part of the fun

I love this particular Unique! It's very large, clean, well lit and the prices are very fair. I was impressed by the sheer size of the housewares department. I found a bunch of 80's collectible Care Bear Pizza Hut glasses for $1 each, a couple of super cute plus size dresses and my dude found a couple of tees. The furniture section was pretty nice as well. They had a few really neat mid-century modern end tables and lamp tables for under $15 that I almost snagged, but they wouldn't have fit in my tiny VW bug. Only downside is that there isn't a huge selection of vintage clothing, but I'd rather have a great selection of vintage housewares anyway.

Fun finds in the book section.

No greeting. Shabby items. Staggering prices. SELF CHECK OUT. Never go back again.

Better prices than goodwill and better deals and sales. I don't feel like I'm a communism buying from another communist store lol

Great finds! There is a huge selection of fancy hats/Derby days. Note there is no bathroom on premises.

We were pleasantly surprised with the large space and inventory. I would agree that somethings may have been overpriced while others seemed like a bargain. However, when we went to the register, the cashier let us know that all the items were actually way less expensive than we thought. To go even further, they did a buy one get one free on a brand new in the box dining room ceiling light which we couldn't pass up. I will be returning!

Habitat Restore is such a great place in general and I was really happy with this location. Let's start with the parking lot. Although it is a bit tight, the traffic all goes in one direction which is super helpful and the entrance to the building is stairs but there's also a ramp going in, which makes this place handicap accessible and easy to bring home rolling or heavy things from the store. Upon entering the store, I noticed that there are huge signs hanging from the ceiling telling you where things are located which made navigating through the warehouse easy peasy. I was on a mission and immediately found what I was looking for. I talked with a staff member who was friendly and was delighted as two customers who happened to be leaving at the same time as I was, helped me bring my stuff to the car. Bonus! I will be visiting here regularly until I find a dresser for my husband and a lounge chair that I love for our spacious living room. Great place.

Volunteers of America Thrift Store in Willoughby is one of my favorite places to thrift when I am…read moreEast of Cleveland. This store is large, clean and well organized with a great staff and is always fun to shop at. Every week there are two discount colors, one is half price and the other is 75% off, which makes for some great deals. Prices overall are very reasonable and the selection is very good. The store is strongest for clothes and shoes, I have found many great and interesting suit jackets and dress shirts, including some colorful tux jackets. On my most recent visit I found a high-quality mesh motorcycle jacket for $10 and a really nice pair of Rockport shoes for $2.50 with the discount. The selection is always diverse with plenty of quality brands and items. You can usually find a decent amount of items that are the discount color even in the middle or end of the week. The store also has a nice selection of electronics, kitchenware, art, décor and bric a brac. I always seem to find some interesting items and spend quite a bit of time looking around. I have found plenty of items that I would not expect. The real jewel of the store is up front by the registers, they have glass cases with great jewelry and behind them shelves with higher end items that have been donated. If looking for some higher end items this is the place to check out. VOA Thrift is a great place to thrift, shop or just check out. The store is open early and late which allows for thrifting even if you have to work during the day. Definitely worth checking out.

Volunteers of America is a new-ish addition to Willoughby's shopping plaza occupying the former Big…read moreLots space. The store wasn't my initial destination. In fact, I was planning to go to TJ Maxx. I detoured once I saw this store. I love North Olmsted location and was hoping for a similar shopping experience. STORE: The store has a lot of open space and sufficient room to roam. The front of the store has staging - cute women's fall outfits (like orange and corduroy skirts, and fall sweaters). There is also a table setup with Thanksgiving inspo. You'll also find clearance racks at the front of the store. The remaining space has clothing, accessories, sleepwear, books, home decor, and glass stand with jewelry. The store is well organized so that you can easily dig for treasure. If you're familiar with the North Olmsted store, expect for this one to be more modern. However, it has less space and inventory. Also, significantly less deals. INVENTORY: The inventory here is a mix of quality finds and things that lived in the attic for years. Some things are like new (like clutches and purses). Other things are really wrinkly and dated. The prices at this store are outrageous. The North Olmsted location has some finds for just few bucks which I can always justify purchasing. Here I found some surprising prices like an empty bourbon bottle for $5.99, clutch for $7.99, and other strange pricing. Simply put, you can go to competitors' stores around the area and procure new merchandise for less. The inventory is final sale - no refunds or returns. I will say that the book inventory here is well organized and pretty diverse. Lots of pretty good books for adults and children. You won't find best sellers but there are some recognizable titles. MY FINDS: I was interested in a few things. I was eyeing a brown purse but could not justify $9.99 for a used find with no brand name. I purchased a few things: two books, one scarf, and a beret. The scarf was Russian style and gorgeous. One of my items had a tag sale and I got a few bucks off my purchase which was nice. SERVICE: Service is not too friendly. I interacted with a few associates at this store and none were nice. The checkout associate observed me looking at scarves for a little too long indicating that probably there is some loss prevention issue at this store. I didn't appreciate that. PARKING: There is a spacious parking lot at the front of the store. At the time of this review there was construction and obstructions. If you go on weekends, there might be challenges associated with finding parking spots. The shopping area has a cluster of popular stores. I haven't yet decided whether I'd visit this store again. Probably more negative than affirmative. I wasn't satisfied with the value, quality of merchandise, and service. I might stop in the distant future to look for books.
