Everything was tasty, I'd get the same meal today. The tenders were hot, fresh, and well seasoned - though they were a bit on the smaller side compared to other chicken spots. The fries were hot, crunchy, and had delicious seasoning on them. Service was quick and the spot was clean. I look forward to my next visit for some tenders.

But to an extent, this…read morecomes as no surprise being the first one to open in the entire state of Maryland (with more to come soon). Even before the fast food chicken wars that have exploded lately because of the epic surplus of similar fast food restaurants that have popped up around the burbs, I have always loved Zaxby's. I remember first discovering them on a road trip with a high school friend of mine, and I always look forward to the rare occasion that I would have them. Later on, it became annual when I knew I'll be within 10 minutes of them from Smash Con and could enjoy them. A few weekends ago, I went with a couple of friends and we all shared a tinder combo. Now, compared to other tenders in the area, theirs are relatively tiny. But the taste is unmatched. And that coleslaw and the fries that come with it... Whew! They're so flavorful! Now, the toast is fine, not as great as other places, but they make up for that with everything else. Many people have also complained about the service, but it was very fast for us. I'm looking forward to a Zaxby's opening closer to home, because that is one place I will have more often as my guilty pleasure meal. And they have a banana pudding milkshake that I'm excited about!

Figured…read morethere would be a wait, since it was Sunday afternoon so we anticipated waiting for a table for about 30 minutes. It was packed in the lobby with no seats. We went in,added our name to the waitlist. The hostess took our phone number and said that she would send a text when our table was ready. We were fine with that and went back to the car to wait for the text message. Almost an hour goes by, and the crowd visibly dies down, so we go back inside to check on the wait times. The hostess said that someone had accidentally marked us as a "no show". She apologized and sat us immediately. I wish it would have ended there but when the food came out it was already cool (not hot). I mentioned it to our waitress and she apologized and got the manager. He offered to remake the food, but I am not a fan of sending food back to the kitchen so I declined. Plus we were starving and didn't want to wait extra time to eat. I reiterated that the taste of the food was fine, but I just wanted to make him aware of the temperature of the food. Instead he gave us 10% off of the bill and a $10 gift card for the next visit. I commend the staff for handling this very professionally. I'm pretty sure I'll still end up going back at some point because Silver Diner is local and one of those quick "go to" spots in Waldorf for all day breakfast, but just won't go on super busy days. I think three stars is a fair rating for this visit considering we never received a text and the temperature of the food. I'm looking forward to a different experience next time and giving five stars

I also was a bit disappointed that all I ordered was the sandwich and, while they didn't ask me if I wanted a half or full sandwich or a combo, they went ahead and charged me for the large and combo. I also asked for a broccoli and cheddar soup with bread. I meant the bread bowl, but I guess I got what I asked for - a bowl of the soup in a container and a piece of bread. I wish they would clarify your order like so many places that care about the quality of the service they provide.

We originally came to use the 2 for 12 culinary classics special but ended up adding proteins, drinks, and garlic bread so with everything (two bowls with protein, two drinks, cheesy garlic bread), the total was a little over $30. I could've done without the protein in my bowl. In my opinion Noodles and Company is one of those places that tastes better with all the "fixins", so if you can add anything to elevate your bowl I highly suggest it. However, the proteins are pretty basic and don't seem to add much pizzazz to the dishes. My partner complained that the noodles were heavy and greasy, but mine were . Not your traditional pad Thai but pretty decent for a chain. I asked for no cilantro (yuck). The cheesy bread barely had any cheese on it, was a bit dry, and I didn't care for the flavor of it, so I probably won't order that again. Service was good and our food came out in about 10 minutes. I liked the simplicity of the chicken noodle soup. It was well seasoned and tasted good. I was less impressed with the pad Thai with chicken for protein. It had an odd flavor that I cannot place, but it must have been what they marinaded it with...I don't like the flavor. While the spicy Korean steak noodles had a similar flavor, the tenderness of the steak and the spicy complement helped to distract from whatever they put on the noodles that dampens the dishes. However, I'm glad I grabbed the rice krispy treat for a snack - it was yum!
