As a result, my out-of-pocket costs for an otherwise covered jaw surgery would exceed $10,000. None of the other surgeons I consulted with assessed similar fees. I am also disappointed by the delays surrounding my imaging refund. In March, I was advised that the imaging costs would be refunded once the insurance claim was processed. I received confirmation is was processed in April. It is now nearly July, and I have been told that it may take an additional 30 to 45 days to receive reimbursement.

He communicated extremely well, was kind and professional, and made my daughter feel very comfortable. We left the consultation initially feeling like this was definitely the office we would choose for her surgery. Unfortunately, our experience afterward completely changed my mind. After the doctor left the room, a front desk employee named Peyton came in and gave us the estimated cost for the surgery, which was $877.70. I said okay and explained that we were not booking the surgery at that time--I only wanted to know what the estimated cost would be. Peyton then told me I had to sign the paperwork. I told her I was not comfortable signing anything because I was not scheduling the surgery or agreeing to any treatment. Instead of professionally addressing my concern, she walked out of the room without saying anything and rolled her eyes at me. When my daughter and I tried to leave, Peyton was speaking with her manager, and the manager again told me that signing the paperwork was their protocol. I continued to explain that I was not agreeing to treatment and did not understand why I should be required to sign treatment-related paperwork when I had specifically said I was not scheduling anything. At that point, I felt extremely uncomfortable and pressured. I felt like I could not simply pay the $50 consultation copay and leave without signing. I read the paperwork, signed it under that pressure because I wanted to leave, and made sure to get a printed copy. To be clear, I did not sign because I suddenly agreed with their policy or because I had decided to move forward with treatment. I signed because the situation had become uncomfortable and distressing and I wanted to leave. What makes this especially disappointing is that the doctor was incredible. Before this interaction, I fully intended to bring my daughter back and schedule her wisdom teeth removal within the next couple of months. Unfortunately, the way I was treated by the front desk--particularly Peyton--completely changed my decision. Patients and parents should be able to ask questions about paperwork and decline to sign something they are uncomfortable with without being met with eye-rolling, attitude, or feeling pressured. Regardless of an office's internal protocol, there was absolutely no reason for me to be treated that way. The doctor made us want to come back. The front desk experience is the reason we will not. Attached are the photos of what they made me sign. It basically states that the price can change so by other reviews saying they would call a day before saying the new price changed this is why. Absolutely disappointed. I would give the Doctor him self 5 stars, as for Payton 0 stars. I will definitely be choosing a different office.

I was told--both verbally and in writing--that my insurance would cover 60% and 40% of the total cost of a crown and mouth guard, and I was required to pay the full $3,596.25 upfront based on that representation. This was false. My insurance ultimately covered only $279.64. After receiving my Explanation of Benefits, I contacted both the dental office and my insurance. My insurer confirmed that the office had been clearly told on the date of service that coverage applied only to the allowed amount, not the total billed amount. This critical information was never disclosed to me. I agreed to treatment solely because I was assured I would be reimbursed a specific percentage of the full cost. Since then, the office has provided inconsistent explanations, denied statements that were later proven untrue, and has not contacted my insurance again despite repeatedly claiming they were "working on it." I also requested a copy of the document I signed showing the quoted coverage, and the office failed to provide it. I have repeatedly asked to speak with the dentist or owner regarding this issue, and each time I have been told I am not allowed to speak with anyone except Ruby at the front desk. This refusal to escalate concerns or allow communication with management is unacceptable. I believe I was induced into unnecessary and costly treatment based on inaccurate and misleading information. The lack of disclosure, refusal to correct the issue, and ongoing evasiveness demonstrate a serious disregard for patient rights. I put off removing my 4 wisdom teeth for the last 5 years because I was honestly terrified. I am a mom of 3 so I was really scared to go under anesthesia and also had never had any kind of oral surgery. Fast forward my wisdom teeth were causing me so much pain it became unbearable. My dentist referred me to IEOMFS for a consultation. Dr. Dudziak was very thorough and answered all of my questions. Kate was very kind and Manny was absolutely amazing. They both recognized how anxious I was the day of my procedure. Manny started talking to me about other things to get my mind off the procedure while Kate got me hooked up to nitrous oxide. I am not kidding you as strange as it sounds from that point on I had a blast. I couldn't stop laughing. Manny was so sweet and funny and kind. Dr. Dudziak came in and gave me my IV (he was fantastic at administering that as well) and he answered my questions I had prior to my procedure. From that point forward all I remember is waking up and it was all over with. (I know I was pretty silly on the nitrous and they were all so kind and funny and patient with me which I am so grateful for). I asked Kate to see my teeth that were extracted and she was kind enough to show me too which was really neat to see. I woke up so happy and relieved that I finally had gotten my wisdom teeth taken care of .. no pain or memory of the extractions/coronectomies at all whatsoever. To whoever is reading this review that needs their wisdom teeth taken care of: please just get it done and over with - and make sure to get it done here if you want a seamless experience. Do not wait like I did - the procedure and recovery really truly is not bad at all and wasn't scary at all. The procedure itself was actually enjoyable and the recovery has been more than manageable (even with me being 33 years old & having the possible risk of having a harder recovery at an older age.) I am currently on day 3 of my recovery and am already feeling so much better. I fully believe a huge contributor to this is because Dr. Dudziak is so incredibly skilled and gifted at what he does. (I have also religiously followed all of my post op care instructions they gave me). My experience with IEOMFS was all in all exceptional from the front desk, to the surgery, to my post op care as well. They are so incredibly thorough and on top on every single detail: - They sent in my prescriptions 5 days prior to surgery - called me to make sure I had them prior to surgery - answered all of my questions (I had way too many ) - gave me a ton of post op goodies (head wrap that holds cold packs that you can also use for warm packs, extra cold/warm packs, chapstick, a smoothie, a thank you card and other supplies for post op care). - The evening after my procedure I had a question about a prescription .. my husband left a message after-hours and they called him back quickly to answer the question even after-hours! -They called me day 2 to check in on me and see how I was doing. I have had 3 c-sections and never in my life have I experienced this kind of care and attention to detail pre op, during surgery or post op. Their service is top notch and so on point it's honestly amazing and deserves to be recognized. I have learned in life that there are certain things you truly do get what you pay for with (tattoos, car repairs and dental care). I was referred by Sacred Heart Dental Care by Dr. Leah Dayrit in Rancho Cucamonga at 2:30 pm for a 3 pm appointment with Dr. Matthew for a consultation. Dr. Dayrit took the time to call the clinic as she knew I was in tremendous pain. I got to the Inland Empire Oral Surgery clinic at 3 pm. I checked in and I was surprised that all my paperwork, insurance verification etc. were already completed. I waited for a few minutes and was taken in for X-rays and was guided to my surgery room. Vital monitors were placed and my blood sugar was taken and my prescription medication was assessed for potential risk to the procedure. All of this was done while the whole staff were on headphones coordinating status of their divisions or responsibility for metrics of performance. It was an amazing experience - I felt comfortable to be in the chair knowing that I would be in good hands based upon the pre-surgery experience. My dental assistant was seasoned and kind while explaining and guiding me through the process which helped me manage my expectations and not be in the dark. The finale' was my experience with Dr. Matthew. His process exemplified what the presurgery experience was.
