I've reported previous visits to Dr. Stephen Miyamoto at Fullerton Oral Surgery, and last week was my final visit! I have been journeying for a couple years or more now in my adventure of dental implants. As tedious and protracted as this was (I had several implants, so it took some time), my experience with Dr. Miyamoto and his amazing staff (Karla, Susan, Roni, and Keke) was always the very best. They became like family to my wife and me, and it was a little hard saying good-bye this last time! They are professional, caring, empathetic, and extremely skilled. I highly recommend Fullerton Oral Surgery and am thankful for all they have done to help me. And I think you'll like them, too! read more

I was really nervous going into my tooth extraction because of some bad experiences I've had in the past, but this turned out to be the easiest and smoothest dental procedure I've ever had. The entire team made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in, and everything went so much better than I expected. A huge shout-out to Karla, Jessica, and Ronnie for being so kind, professional, and reassuring throughout the whole process. Their care and positive attitude made all the difference. Thank you all for making what I thought would be a stressful experience so easy. I truly appreciate the amazing care! read more

Dr. Miyamoto and his team are top notch. They are very organized and efficient. We knew our son's wisdom teeth need to get pulled but he went away to college and is home for the summer. Dr. Miyamoto saw him and we told him he was home for the summer and starting a job in a week. He told his staff to find a spot for him and we were back in 3 days to get his wisdom teeth pulled. Dr. Miyamoto explained to us that he uses stem cells which speeds up recovery. It has been 2 weeks since he had them done and he has healed nicely. No complications and minimum down time. My other son had his wisdom teeth pulled 5 years prior and same top notch treatment and recovery! I will definitely be referring anyone I know who needs an oral surgeon to Dr. Miyamoto. Many thanks! read more

I interned at this dental surgery office for 4 weeks. The team is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming.  Dr. Miyamoto, Karla, Shannon, Susan, Kay, Sam, Jessica, Ronnie, and Renae are very patient and take the time to explain procedures, and ensure patient's questions are answered. I highly recommend this practice to patients seeking excellent care. I referred my aunt and she is now a patient there. read more

I was referred to Dr. Miyamoto from a personal friend and also a dental hygienist who she went to as well. Unfortunately I had to get a few implants, fortunately it was with Dr. Miyamoto, I can honestly say from start to finish I was very comfortable with the entire process, I never even had to use any pain medication, either Dr. Miyamoto is that good or I'm that tough, lets go with both. After the surgery, later on in the evening Dr. Miyamoto always personally follows up with a phone call to ensure everything is going OK. Karla and the rest of the staff are so friendly and put you at ease during the entire process. If you have to see an oral surgeon Dr. Miyamoto is a must, don't take this the wrong way, I hope I never have to see you again, in your office read more

First I just want to say thank you so much to Dr.Miyamoto and his amazing staff. I am so happy I found Dr.Miyamoto's office. From my first call I knew I was going to feel comfortable coming here. The front office staff Christy and Susan were super helpful with answering all my questions and concerns and were able to get me scheduled right away. When I showed up to the office I was greeted with such a warm welcome from Susan which helped ease my anxieties. Once I was taken back Carla took my X-rays and then took me into their consult room and we talked a little about why I was there. I needed my wisdom teeth extracted. While we waited for the doctor Carla showed me a video about the procedure and process of wisdom teeth extraction and it was nice to know ahead of time what to expect. Dr.Miyamoto was super nice and addressed my concerns and went over do's and don'ts for after the procedure and made sure to answer all my questions before he left. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told I could and should eat a burger right away after the procedure . After I met with the doctor Christy came in to go over my treatment plan and just made it super easy to voice any concerns I had and come up with a plan. They were able to get me scheduled for a day that worked for me. Day of procedure came and I definitely was nervous to be put to sleep but Ronnie, Mary and Carla were so nice, bubbly and communicated everything that was going to happen and what they were doing as they were doing it. I knew it was going to be a smooth procedure and I was going to be taken care of. Dr.Miyamoto even called me later that day to check and see how I was doing. I will definitely be recommending Dr.Miyamoto to all my family and friends and I'm sure at one point I'll be back with my kids read more

My surgery for a post implant was fast and painless. It's 45 minutes after my surgery and I drove myself to in-n-out for food. Thank you Dr. Miyamoto, Daniele, Roni and Chelsea. read more

My dentist, Dr. Lew, recommended Dr. Miyamoto when I had to get an implant. I was hesitant and nervous about the whole process but not only was Dr. Miyamoto beyond knowledgable of the whole procedure but he breaks it down so that there is full transparency in the whole process. On top of that, he called me after my procedure to check in on me. His team is also super kind and thorough about making sure that I felt comfortable. I would highly highly recommend Dr. Miyamoto and his team to anyone looking to get implants done! This is a trustworthy establishment. I would rather drive an hour out to this oral surgeon than see anyone else. Thank you Dr. Miyamoto and Team for taking such good care of me! read more

Dr. Steven Miyamoto is a great oral surgeon. He explains everything about the procedure or surgery that he is going to perform before he does anything. He makes sure that you fully understand what the X-ray shows and what is needed to be done. His office staff is wonderful!!! They do everything to assist Dr. Miyamoto with the surgery that you need or if it's just an X-ray. Everyone on Dr. Miyamoto's staff is very professional in all aspects of their individual duties. His entire staff of Susan, Christy, Karla, Roni, and Mary are all well trained for whatever they are assisting either the patient or Dr. Miyamoto with. I am in the process of having oral implants and Dr. Miyamoto fully explains what he needs to do before he does it. Having General Anesthesia also helps me to relax and not worry about feeling any pain. Roni and each member of the surgery team really know their "role" and what they need to do to assist Dr Miyamoto or the patient. Plus, they are all really nice and they want to help the patient or if the patient is a minor, the patient's parent or guardian. And, add to all of that, they are DODGER fans!!!! So I would definitely recommend Fullerton Oral Surgery to any of my relatives or friends and to anyone needing Oral Surgery. read more

I avoided getting dental implants for a very long time due to insurance, low income, and not trusting dental offices. I had terrible experiences at the dentist, including mistreatment, refusal to refund credit due to procedural changes, and experiencing anxiety. You can tell something is off about a dental office the moment you walk in. However, that was not the case when I walked into Fullerton Oral Surgery. I was referred by Chet Desai DDS, one of the best dental offices, and I can honestly say that I wholeheartedly trusted Dr. Miyamoto and the Fullerton Oral Surgery staff. I had two dental implants done, and the procedure and progress weren't as bad as I thought it would be. It was a lengthy process, but it was worth it because they made sure that everything was done right. Thank you so much, Dr. Miyamoto and staff! You are all amazing! read more
