If you're coming here out of convenience because it's close to home, (like I did) DON'T The assistant helping me didn't know how to do anything without asking help from another. Dr Kim used phrases like "I'm pretty sure" and I think so bro you're the dentist, you're pretty sure? It's one of those places the refer u elsewhere and when u get there, they refer you to a third place for a supposedly required ct scan (200$) out of pocket btw. Also was mistakenly charged two cleanings in the span of two weeks when I only got one. I called to get a refill on my antibiotics cause it looks like there's a tennis ball in my mouth and they told me they couldn't. Meanwhile infection is spreading. Absolutely ridiculous. Love this Dentist! Elizabeth, the office manager should work in Vegas running a high dollar casino because she is definitely ON HER GAME! Great at her Job, sharp, precise, very intelligent....and at the end of the day the house got paid...I'm happy that I'm getting GREAT dental work.... and all is well in the Dental-verse! Horrible Experience at Desert Dentist - I Wouldn't Recommend This Place to Anyone I visited Desert Dentist in Apple Valley on December 30, 2024, while I was pregnant, and it was one of the worst dental experiences I've ever had. I went in for a filling, after getting a crown from them earlier that same year. While doing the filling, I felt sharp pain and told the dentist. Shockingly, she laughed at me like it was a joke. She gave me a couple more numbing shots and finished the work, but I immediately felt like something was off. I told her again, but she shrugged it off and laughed. I don't remember her name, but she was an Asian female doctor. I wasn't going to leave without getting checked again. The manager came over after I explained I felt a big gap between my teeth. She told me everything "looked fine" and made me floss in front of her to prove it. I was made to feel dumb, like I didn't know what I was talking about. Then as I was leaving, she said: "Please don't leave a bad review. If you need anything, come back." I was shocked. Instead of fixing the problem, all they cared about was their reviews. I ended up going to West Coast Dental in Rancho Cucamonga, where they treated me kindly and professionally. They took an x-ray and confirmed what I felt that same day at Desert Dentist--a large space was left between the teeth they worked on. Since it's already been filled once, I can't get another filling. Now my only options are a crown or an inlay. Here's the problem: Medi-Cal only covers crowns, but I'd rather get an inlay, which is less invasive and more appropriate in this case. But I'd have to pay out of pocket. So now I'm filing a claim with Medi-Cal, hoping I can get coverage for the inlay--all because Desert Dentist did poor work and ignored my concerns. To make matters worse, the crown they previously placed is now causing pain and turning purple, which is another issue I'm now dealing with. This entire situation has been a nightmare. I left in pain, dismissed, and gaslighted--not to mention laughed at while pregnant and clearly distressed. I would not recommend this office to anyone . I truly hope no one else has to go through what I did here. read more

I chose this dentist because of their good reviews and they did not disappoint! I had a couple problems, one of which was causing me a lot of pain. Desert dentist was able to get me in quickly and take care of the problem. The procedure was quick and they made sure I didn't experience any pain! My favorite dentist in Apple valley/high desert. Staff is kind and the dr make you feel comfortable. I needed to see a specialist for impacted wisdom and they made me feel pain free until I was able to see the specialist and even saw me a 2nd between them because I was having pain. Very dissatisfied with my interaction with the office this morning. My daughter had an appointment at 4pm today. I could have just no showed. But instead, since she woke up sick, I called the office to let them know she wouldn't make it in. After all, 1.) COVID is still a thing and 2.) When a child has congestion, it does make it very difficult to do examines when you can't breath out of your nose. I learned that when another dentist ripped me a new one for taking a congested child instead of rescheduling. You can win with these people. After letting them know I needed to cancel, I was placed on a 2 minute hold when someone else picked up and asked if she had fever or cough. I responded no but said she is congested and not feeling well. The next sentence was a little threatening, even though it was said in a polite tone "okay, normally we charge a $40 cancelation fee but we'll wave it" ... umm 1.) I don't ever remember signing such thing and 2.) Go ahead and inflate your accounts receivable because if you did charge for it, I wouldnt be paying it. Instead, I'll find another dentist. You're not the only office. I thought it paid to call instead of just no showing. I guess people can't get sick 2 days after confirming their appointment. read more

My husband and I could not be happier to find this dentist!!!! The staff is so friendly and made us both feel very comfortable. The dentist is extremely gentle and asked several times throughout our procedures if we were doing ok.
