At first, I was VERY apprehensive to get work done here due to the close proximity of the treatment chairs to eachother. Me having an admitted "slight" fear of the dentist.... then I'm smack right next to someone while possibly getting a Root Canal, YIKES! That's a Hard NO for me, he he! I'd rather be terrified alone in some back room or even a basement, lol! Thankfully.... I found out I can just throw that fear right out the window as they DONT do Root Canals and other invasive dental work there at all! Just braces, Invisalign, polishing and strictly cosmetic stuff! Phew! I can exhale. In that case... I think I can manage the open floor plan for a little while! ;) Regardless of the set up.... Dr. Monica is the main reason I would return. She seems very genuine and good-natured, and she flat out told me I should try to KEEP my natural teeth for as long as possible!! She said I already had a beautiful smile and she would NOT suggest Veneers! Wow, that just blew me away. As I completely forgot there are still compassionate dentist out there who's main goal is NOT stripping your teeth down like a poorly varnished floor and slapping some expensive oversized hubcaps on your Grill. Teeth looking like garage doors, he he! My last dentist wanted to strip them all down (if she could) and replace them with some extra white blinding veneers so I can look like some Hollywood douch-bag, fake as hell. My old dentist turned out to be a straight clown without a professional bone in her frail, boney body! How is that even possible??? He he! My last dental office is a long, sad and expensive story I'd rather forget :( Back to the Awesome story here! :) It's easy to tell when a doctor really has YOUR best interest in mind...and that is Dr. Monica, 100%. I had a faulty tray that twisted 2 of my teeth and the doctor blamed me. I wore those trays religiously. Even when on vacations. She didn't look into it. I emailed Invisalign and they took months to reach out. I would go with braces and with another orthodontic doctor. Do your research and look at the Invisalign grading if you do decide to go with Invisalign. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE FOR INVISALIGN.

The dental tech was sweet and also put me at ease. Dr. Shain came in and again like his staff , made me feel at ease. Dr. Shain was helpful, never made me feel rushed, answered all my questions and was informative not forceful about my care plan. On my third visit Dr. Shain prescribed me medication that helped me with my anxiety (for which I'm thankful). The dental tech who helped with the procedure was new. I can tell Dr. Shain takes care in hiring new techs. The tech was knowledgeable and very empathetic. I never felt pain during the procedure. For the results so far I am very pleased. As for the final results I will have to put an update to my review but I'm sure will be amazing.

When she gave them back to me the sore spots were WORSE. I asked her if she polished them after she ground on them? I was told that they didn't have a buffer. I replied that without a buffer it was like having SANDPAPER in my mouth. No body seemed to care! When I told them that they owed me a new pair dentures they told me too bad and didn't want me as a patient anymore . I don't know who I can report this behavior to, but they really need to be INVESTIGATED!! It cost me 1,200 to have a new pair dentures made. Apple Valley smiles is a RIPOFF!! DON'T GO THERE!!!

I went for wisdom tooth removal and was being sedated, I haha pretty bad dentist anxiety and while they were getting me prepped for sedation, my BP was a little high. The woman helping me said "if you can't lower your BP, we're gonna send you home" which was wildly unhelpful. I'm not proud that it makes me anxious, a small amount of compassion would have gone a long way. Lastly, I needed a referral submitted and they didn't submit it until the Friday before I was supposed to come in which meant I had to reschedule. This place 100% sucks, everyone except the surgeon and office manager were rude and unhelpful.
