Overall Dr.Pipkin is fantastic, it's her office staff that needs improvement. When I communicated my son needed his wisdom tooth removed the front office lady seemed incompetent with the referral process. I had to call several times to follow up. This place is full of it. They told my wife she needed a root canal and a replacement tooth because they were going to break it during the root canal. They told my daughter that she had FIVE cavities. Turns out, my daughter had only one cavity (per the tech taking care of them, different person from the one who said she had five cavities. My wife got a second opinion and they told her she did NOT need a root canal. These people are after medi-cal and insurance money. Find another dentist that isn't playing the system. I researched ALOT of dentists to assist with my fiancé's dental concerns. He has extremely high anxiety due to horrible experiences with previous dentists that caused him to pass out during one visit while completing paperwork in the lobby. Always terrified of dentists after many bad experiences through my life, I had a tooth break Monday night, Tuesday morning they took x-rays and did a cleaning, yesterday (Thursday) dr Pipkin pulled that tooth as it was no longer saveable. I didn't even feel the shot. I've never had such a gentle dental experience in my entire life, the staff are nice, the Drs are very blunt when they tell you what's going on because they care, and dr Pipkin is super super gentle, really amazing at giving painless shots, got the broken tooth out quickly, and sent me on my way! Today (Friday) my jaw is sore but it's not horrible, it actually already feels like a relief that tooth is gone. Fabulous dentist! read more

I was referred to Pipkin Dental by a friend. I have been going for about 4, or 5 years now. Recently I was preparing to retire and I needed to get a crown replaced. I had a month before retirement and wanted to get it taken care of before my insurance changed. I went in and they X-rayed me and a dentist checked my teeth. I had never had him work on me before. He was rude at best and spoke to me in a condescending tone of voice. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental work. I explained this to him when he chastised me for making noise when he poked a sharp object into my gums. He finished and sent me up front to make the next appointment to get the crown replaced. I explained to them that this was time sensitive and that I had to get it done before the end of the month. The woman at the front desk said they had to find out if my insurance covered the procedure and that they'd call me as soon as possible to schedule the next appointment. That was the beginning of August. It's now the end of September and they have not called. They just lost a customer. I wouldn't recommend this dental office to anyone. The office stinks. The first time I went in it smelled like pee. The people at the reception desk are rude. The place is set up like a dental factory, not an office. So, if you want to get treated like a piece of meat then by all means, make an appointment today. Update: 10-4-21. I went to see another dentist today. He took an X-ray of my crown and said he saw nothing wrong with it. He said it looks like my sensitivity there is because of receding gums. Aside from that he said my teeth look really good and he gave me a cleaning right then and there. There was no pretense of having to call my insurance first to get approval. So, not only is Pipkin everything I said above, but they're also trying to sell unnecessary procedures. They were insisting that my crown should be replaced. The dentist at Pipkin said that my crown was "leaking" which I've never heard of before. I mentioned this to the new dentist and he said, "Maybe he wanted to sell you a new crown". They also kept trying to sell me Invisilign to straighten my teeth. The new dentist said that they could do that, but it wasn't necessary, that my bite was pretty good. So, be warned that Pipkin's office will try to sell you things you don't need and perform procedures that aren't necessary. read more

My 86 year old Mother had NEW dentures done here recently and has been back 4 times to have them adjusted/fixed needless to say there still not right. She has lost about 15 lbs. because she cannot eat right she said they hurt and food gets under the top set. We have made another appt to ask Dr Pipkin that the top set be remade because that's what Jane (the office manager) said is their procedures. I will keep everyone updated of the outcome. read more

I have been going to Pipkin Dental for approximately 7 years and have had nothing but exceptional service. They are gentle, caring, professional, and polite. The staff they have are always friendly. They take the time to get to know you as a person. Dr Pipkin and the staff always have me laughing. The staff seem to enjoy their job. I had my Invisaline braces through Dental Pipkin and recently finished the process. My teeth look fantastic. Two years ago on New Years Eve day I broke a molar with a filling and called their emergency number, due to them being closed on a holiday. Dr Pipkin and an RDA responded to their office and fixed the molar. Just an example of their dedication and service to their patients. On August 2, 2019 I took my son for his 6th month dental visit. The dentist told me that his permanent teeth were growing behind his baby teeth and that she needed to extract them so his permanent teeth can grow in its spot. I asked if my insurance covered it and they told me yes. I decided to go ahead with the extraction to remove his two lower central incisors and to schedule it on August 9, 2019. During the week his right lower central incisor came out on its own, so I decided that I was still going to take him to get his left lower central incisors removed. August 9, 2019 came and I let him go into the back to get his teeth removed. I have been going to this dentist for 9 years and I trusted them to take care of my son. He comes back and his lower left central incisor was removed and his lower left lateral incisor was removed as well, I never gave them permission or consent to remove the lower left lateral incisor tooth because it was not ready to come out. I let them know that they removed an extra tooth and they told me that I told them to remove it, when I did not. Now my son has 3 missing teeth at the bottom instead of 2. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST, SHE IS AN UNLAWFUL, GREEDY MONEY SNATCHER WHO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HER PATIENTS, SHE JUST CARES ABOUT THE MONEY. read more

Dr. Pipkin is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. She is very caring and compassionate. She is extremely smart and takes pride in her work. She is one of the few dentists that cares about her patients and your needs as her patient. She doesn't try to push or persuade you into doing unnecessary treatment. Yes, she is the professional, but you are her 1st concern. I have a horrible fear of going to the dentist, she eased all of my fears. She took her time with me and explained everything to me very throughly. She made sure my comfort was #1. If you are uncomfortable or need to ask a lot of questions, she will stop and listen and make sure you are comfortable and understand what needs to be done and what you need to do on your end as a patient. Her staff is great to. Jane is wonderful at her job and also makes you feel very comfortable. If you have any questions or concerns, Jane makes sure they get answered. You can call Jane at anytime and she is there for you. During my procedure, Amber was Dr. Pipkin's assistant and she was awesome. The two of them made a great team. She made my visit that much more pleasant and made me feel very comfortable as well. She is an excellent assistant. So, if you are looking for a dentist, I would recommend going here.
