I recently tried to become a new patient at Johnson's Dentistry and was also planning to bring a second patient with me. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk was disappointing. When I asked if they accepted my insurance, the receptionist refused to verify it and showed no interest in helping. It felt like a small effort on their part could have gained the practice two new patients, but instead, we were left feeling dismissed. First impressions matter, and sadly, this one was enough to take our business elsewhere This Dentist helped me in the past with an emergency walk-in dental problem and I assured him that I would come back as a customer, but it doesn't look like they need us. One of the best dental clinics that I had been to. Doctors and staff are amazing, nice and courteous. I was in & out from my appointment in less than an hour. The doctors are honest and don't try to give you services that you don't need. I had been to other offices in the past where the doctors want to sell you procedures that you don't need but not here. Also when you call, you can expect to have an appointment in a reasonable time frame, mine took only one week to be seen. I can not say enough nice things about the doctors here. Ok, I want to say how much I really appreciate everyone who works here. I have struggled with EXTREME dental anxiety.. so much that I had a broken, on and off again infected wisdom tooth for over six months. I kept going back to this dentist cause they are so kind. Sometimes the wait is long, but that's for a reason. So many people recommended them to me and I'm glad I stuck it out. They really listen to you and help you through it. The quality of care here is unmatched. I can't thank them enough, from the front office ladies, to Cambria- the dental assistant and Scott the dentist. DESPICABLE DENTISTS! Dr. Doug Johnson Dr. Kent Johnson Dr. Scott Johnson This place is a total disaster! Dr. Johnson & Sons is the most disgusting dental office I have ever encountered! It has been over a year since they installed a crown improperly (2020). First, it was too long and they ground it down, then the crown was chewing my lip off, and they removed it and installed a crooked temporary, and it snapped off on the first bite - never to see another crown again. UNBELIEVABLE! I called Dr. Johnson & Sons office and left a message about the second temporary snapping off and they refused to return my call. When I finally got through on the phone, they told me, "You alright without a temporary tooth." Incompetence beyond belief, zero consideration, and zero class, those are some of the first thoughts that come to my mind when I think about Dr. Johnson & Sons. They were sending me spiritual messages to not come back? I figured it was because they were afraid the next crown wouldn't fit and I would leave a negative review. I guess they decided to just blow me off? Now, a year later, I am still walking around with a front tooth missing. Dr. Johnson & Sons were paid in full by Delta Dental Insurance. I researched all the dentists in my area and came up with this office as the best bet. Every staff member was so sweet and polite. I had Scott as my dentist, and I have never been to such a caring, gentle dentist! He explained everything and made sure I had no pain. He was soothing and had the most comforting manner about him. (UPDATE w/details) Have been dealing with an abscessed tooth for several months, then comes COVID-19...so my options for getting it finally extracted became an all out search for a dentist who was accepting new non-insurance patients. Literally, this dentist office was the FIRST one to say, Yes to new patients, PLUS they got me an appt. the very next week. (8 days away..not bad) What was even more exceptional, the customer svc gal, (wish I could recall her name) was on it to put in a prescription for antibiotics when I mentioned the tooth being infected. Began treatment the next morning. Come Wednesday, Aug 19th, arrived early at their office for 10am appt. COVID-19 precautions were in place, i.e. signage posted requiring masks, limited number allowed in waiting area..sanitizer, all staff in masks. Was called to back at 11:40am..the wait was a lil longer than anticipated, tho once in chair, the very courteous, attentive assistant, gently took xrays. When Dr Kent came in, he spoke in a manner that, in an instant, began to meltdown my EXTREME FEAR OF DENTAL ANYTHING to rest... He administered the shots in my gums n cheek with EXQUISITE Care..he noticed my finger go up just once..he acknowledged with gentleness and eased up a lil and I didn't feel ANYTHING after that. HECK, the next thing I knew-- was hearing, Dr Kent say, "Ok, it's out, gone.." SERIOUSLY can't believe just how quickly he got it Done!! He was such an amazingly knowledgeable, professional, patient, and 99.8% Pain-Free!! Additionally, being a cash patient, I was nervous on cost. When I saw the invoice, my numb jaw coulda bounced off the floor... TWICE!! Why?? Cuz it was SUPER reasonable and was told I could pay whenever I can, in full or in payments. Totally flexible! They really know how to give customer service and rocket it up to a celestial level!! They earned a serious 5 star from me... heck they deserve double that. My gums healed up nicely with no issues. I am truly grateful Dr. Johnson and Sons was able to see me and help relieve the excruciating pain I'd been enduring for far too long. This will now be the ONLY office I will go for dental work!! I have severe dental anxiety and was only looking for dental offices that offered general anesthesia. This dental office doesn't offer any of those options but they had such good reviews I wanted to get a dental plan going for a referral to a dentist with general anesthesia. The building is very nice, the woman working the front desk were also nice and helpful. After getting my X-Rays as soon as I was brought back the doctor was there to review them with me. I had been told by another dentist I needed 6 filings and a extraction and an implant. The doctor here said nope only 4 and the tooth in question didn't require any extraction. He said he would be willing to try some fillings today and if I couldn't handle it he wouldn't charge me. I gave in last minute and I'm so happy I did. I don't know why I let them go for so long, he was so quick and gentle. I already made my appointment to go get the other 2 filled. If you have bad dental anxiety please try this office before shelling out 1.6k for general anesthesia alone! read more

Dr Johnson performed a root canal on me today. Days leading up I couldn't sleep or eat because of the pain. After the procedure and after the local wore off, I'm pain free. I love this dental office... I switched my insurance just so I could come here after reading all the great reviews. I have since recommended them to my daughter and my sister ( who both loved the office) I even decided to go with a higher premium to get an unlimited coverage and 3 cleanings a year since I'm diabetic. I did have a small issue with the 3rd cleaning with billing But they are taking care of the problem. The office staff are all polite and the dentists are great. I really value an office that is honest and that does not try to say this needs done and that needs done. I was with Dr Mowery's office up until he retired because he to was a honest dentist.... The best dentistry clinic in the high desert my husband and I have been to! State of the Art equipment and three dentists that are so good and caring at what they do. They care more about your well being than they do about the money they are charging you, which by the way is super affordable compared to other places. I have been seen by Dr. Scott and Dr. Kent. My husband, too. Super nice practice, nice girls at the front desk and sweet doctors and assistants taking care of you. I had another dentist mess up my two front teeth by filing the sides of them. I eventually ended with three cavities on three teeth. Dr. Scott fixed the problem in about one hour and my teeth look like nothing ever happened! I also scheduled a deep cleaning with Dr Kent. The only thing which really saddens me is that the front desk lady named Melissa is an absolute nightmare.. she makes people cry, talks to them like they are stupid, and makes people not want to come here at all. I was looking forward to the appointment because I was referred by a family member who has had good experiences here. After confirming my appointment within 48 hours, I showed up to my 8am appointment after working a 12 hour night shift at the hospital and driving 25 minutes across town to their office. I was greeted with a sign that said they were closed and they were sorry for any inconvenience. I received no call, text, or correspondence of any kind notifying me of a change in my appointment. I have had bad experiences with dentists in the past and put off badly needed dental work, including cosmetic for badly chipped teeth which were so disgusting I was embarrassed to smile. I was referred to their office by a friend. I owe that friend a dinner. Dr. Doug did a through examination, spent time explaining the condition of my teeth and then presented a plan for the needed work. His office staff presented me with a written statement as to what it would cost. I was stunned in that the fees were more than reasonable. I don't have dental insurance but was able to pay for the work in cash and was pleased to do so. I had the work done two weeks after my initial visit and could not be more pleased with the outcome.
