The best dental group in the high desert thus far. Since the moment I made my appointment I was talked to with such joy & kindness. I also was able to fill out all necessary paperwork through their application format & made things go by so quick once I arrived. The receptionist Liz was so lovely and greeted me & my family with such manners & care. The Dr. is extraordinary. He made my daughters feel so comfortable and at ease while getting serviced. He made the process so easy & kept reassuring us through the whole time. The dental assistant was also very informative & made sure we left the office with all of our questions answered & with no concerns. I'd like to also add that the manager Karen really runs a nice, smooth establishment there and I give her lots of grace because as a manager of a family practice myself it's not an easy. Doctor Kim is sweet but I had crowns on before that lasted 15 years and since I came here they only lasted weeks. I'm in here weekly to get them out back on. This not the way to live. We go to a dentist and pay a lot of money for work and I waste a lot of time to put them back on. She says I don't have a lot of tooth for my new crowns to stick but she ground them down. Look I get that the dentist are on a lot of pressure but we go to them for their professional advice. I have come here multiple times now and for myself it's not bad but I would not recommend them for children. The office staff is friendly and polite, they have implemented a new texting system for their appointments which makes things much easier (fewer calls!). For my visit, things went smoothly but I felt in the dark on what was happening. There was no explanation on what the dr was doing or going to do, he just kind of sat down and went all in. He would ask if I was okay with something or for me to adjust my head or position but that was it. I prefer knowing what's happening in my mouth. It seems like the dr just gets in, does his job and leaves. He doesn't seem to enjoy it. For the kids, they mostly just did a check-up and then referred us elsewhere. They have no kid rooms or kid friendly set-ups. We had one emergency situation where my 7 year old chipped a tooth and they were able to take us same day, which was great, but she had two very symmetrical front teeth and the chip they fixed is crooked and sticks out of her mouth. She cries on occasion when she sees it. So for adults it's okay, but I would not recommend them for children. read more

I've been a Patient at this dental office for 14 years, and while I used to highly recommend them, the last two years have been extremely disappointing. The quality of service has severely declined. Every visit, there's a new hygienist, so there's no consistency in care. Appointments are constantly rescheduled, and then they'll call to offer an earlier time, only to be 20 minutes late themselves--or worse, cancel and reschedule again. After coming in a few times for dental work, I would not recommend coming here. First cavity fill left excess filler inbetween my teeth that tore up my tongue. Next cavity fill left excess that caused pain when I clamped down. Went in again to remove excess, now I still feel excess and the edge of my tooth is now sharp as hell. The dentist here wont ask you how it feels, just does the work, says you should be fine and moves on. read more

Okay I have had X-rays, and then a appt to fill in a chipping front tooth. Dr wanted to do crowns on my front teeth but I said no I'm not ready to have my two front teeth drilled down to pointy nubs. I just wanted them bonded until I find a good alternative. So doctor filled the tooth. I had wished that he could bond the ugly color out like the ad on Yelp. But another day. They are very nice there but a busy office. I guess they are all getting like that. I guess I'm thinking old school dentistry. I just hope it doesn't get so busy that the care goes down and rushed. I have tried two other dentists since leaving a dentist where they were so busy it hampered the work. Cleanliness is very, very important to me and so far that's good there. Time will tell. this is the ONLY dentist office i have ever been to in my 23 years of living, that knows how to handle people with severe fear of the dentist. i have always dreaded going because the picks the drills the smell and just everything about it has always FREAKED me out, but every staff member i've talked to while there has done an impeccable job of keeping me calm and walking me through exactly what they're doing and what it's going to feel like. the ladies that have worked with me so far are all so incredibly nice and i am so grateful i found somewhere that makes it just a little less scary for me. only thing they could improve on is scheduling, i keep getting calls to schedule my appointments even if i'm already on the schedule and have confirmed my appointment so it gets a little confusing, but at the same time i'm glad they call so frequent otherwise i would keep putting it off and it enables me to ask any questions i have about my next appointment. i'm aware that i sound foolish half the time because i'm so scared, but every question i have asked they have answered efficiently and in a reassuring manner. they all feel like REAL people and not just another dentist. plus the waiting time has never been an issue, i've always been seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time read more

This dentist used to be the best dentist hands down... unfortunately they are under new management and the way they do business is terrible. The final two incidents that happened has destroyed my faith in them. First, my daughter went in there for a tooth that was abscessed they wanted to root canal it but since it was still a baby tooth we asked them to pull in instead... thats where it all went bad. They started to pull the tooth without novacane. They said to raise her hand if it hurt so she did multiple times and they continued to pull until I had to intervene. Then they numbed her again and proceeded to finish. NOW MY DAUGHTER HATES THE DENTIST. She used to love them. Second, my wife went has spent well over $10,000 on braces and dental work. She had a crown done a couple years back and it came off, they said since she hasn't been in a couple years "lost our insurance" that it would cost $200 to re glue it down. After the $175 checkup fee for a cash patient. I was blown away that they wouldn't fix their work. If you don't honor your work, that is terrible business. I have referred six different clients to them not including my 4 in my family. I have made them well over $50,000 with the 10 people, and since they don't want to honor their work. My family will not be going back. $50,000+ was not worth it to Liz the supposed manager to just re glue their work... I see the way they do business and I will not support them anymore. read more

Very nice, pleasant and personable staff and when you enter the office. The rest of the staff we made contact with were nice too. They X-ray tech was nice but too aggressive putting things in your mouth to take a picture like someone doing brakes on a car. The doctor very nice and considerate as well as the tech that polished your teeth. The finance lady, a true used car salesman that was going have you drive off with that new car today! Definitely horrible service. I literally paid them to do nothing. I made an appointment for a cleaning and fillings on both sides . My appointment was at 4p I got here at 415p and the they tell me they can't do the filling because I got here 15mins late so I asked her how Kate can you get here and they said they give a 15 minute grace period. I got here at 415p yet they couldn't take me in but only for cleaning . I told them that I will just reschedule so they decide to take me in only for fillings this time not cleaning so I sit down to get ready for the fillings and the Asian guy tells me he's only doing 2 fillings but on my first appointment the Asian lady said they would fill both sides and one tooth that need it filling and they will see if that would work if not I would need a root canal and crown yet this guy was only trying to do whatever was fast for him to get me out . Yet the lady in the front clearly had told me that they were going do all my fillings! They need better service and communication!! But unfortunately I lost my money and I'll be going elsewhere. read more

This is my second time to this dentist office the first time my tooth broke and the doctor was willing to do anything to help me to get out of pain even though I need to see a oral surgeon he drilled down my tooth so it wouldn't hit my top tooth and he removed the broken piece for comfort til I saw the surgeon . This time I saw a different person and the dr refused to help me, I explained to him I have an appointment Monday I don't think I could make it I'm in pain, I asked if he could trim it or remove the piece that is broken so it's not rubbing on my gums, he said no we referred u out and we need to let them do it. I said but I'm gonna be in pain all weekend! he said yeah I'm sorry about that....... never will I ever go back to that office so that Dentist to not make any effort to help me get out of pain or being more comfortable than I was is unacceptable as a dentist. Desert dentist in Hesperia office is still amazing ! So far have been going to them for almost a little shy of under a year now . So now I feel I can give a very honest opinion about all my treatment and there service . Office is still ridiculously clean ( I love that ) ! All business with my insurance was cleared up and shown to me what happened. That was very impressive and much appreciated . Very understanding and approachable staff ! I can't believe how much they actually care about their patients it's incredible! I chose to go with Invisalign braces for my teeth . So far they have been the best choice of my life !!! My horrible underbite is gone ! No pain the aligners that they use fit properly on my teeth . My dentist is the Best !! I was so nervous going to the dentist from horrible past experiences. But now . Wow what a difference . My dentist here puts me at ease every time so calming professional and knows what she is doing and will explain it no matter how how complicated the procedure. I want to say first & foremost the ladies in the front, Liz and Cynthia are some of the sweetest women I've ever come in contact with where my dental needs are concerned but the one doctor (male) his name escapes me right now, has horrible beside manners. Not only was I not prepped or forewarned of what a "partial" root canal entails-such as excruciating pain, what I needed to take to prepare myself for that pain or how to take care of myself afterwards but the fact that he didn't make sure I was numbed completely before drilling, digging and filling down into my front bottom tooth that I was weeping in his chair. And do you want to know what audacity he had to tell me to "be quiet", "stop crying" because he had "other patients in the office". I was telling him thru tears and my mouth wide opened that it hurt really bad. I was told to raise my left hand if I felt anything, to which I did to no avail. He finally gave me more novacaine but he did not wait for that to kick in, he just went right back in with his heavy hand not caring nor believing that I was in such pain. It wasn't until 5 minutes before I arrived home, which is 28 minutes away from his office, that that second novacaine shot kicked in & I couldn't feel anything until about an hour later where I have been in excruciating pain and sobbing crying bc nothing is taking the edge off. Not the 3rd prescription of antibiotics I've been given by him. And to top that off no Rx for pain meds. I already take oxycodone for an arthritic back and that isn't doing ANYTHING! I have called the office numerous times since being home for help in relief again to no avail. I am literally weeping on the phone with the front end & they are unable to help me telling me this pain-that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy is "NORMAL". How in the hell is this pain "normal" after having an infection removed??? I am in worse pain than I was before. And we're still waiting on insurance to approve the procedure to finish the root canal. read more

I love having beautiful teeth and having a pretty smile. How else could I take yelp selfies lol Coming to desert dentist is always quick and easy. They are always quick with appointments. If you are a patient and need an emergency appointment they will accommodate you. They are all about making sure you are not in pain. I've seriously called because I've had popcorn I my teeth and they told me to stop in. No problem is too small or silly. I always feel happy with my oral health here. They never rush me and always answer my questions. I don't know about kids services because my kids don't go here, but I always do see a lot of kids here. The staff is sweet and amazing. About as good as you can get from a dental office - super fast, efficient, and ethical and honest. I waited only about 5 minutes before being called in. The checkup was fast and painless. Then the dentist offered to do the filling right after the checkup. And instead of waiting ages like you do in many dental offices, the filling was completed in 15 minutes. The dental hygienist was also very gentle and honest. I was told I needed scaling in just one pocket, whereas other offices try to get you to pay for unnecessary whole mouth scaling. Before each billed procedure the insurance person comes to your chair to go over prices and get your signature. That made things very transparent. My only complaint was the front office's insistence that I get my own insurer to fax them my eligibility. The front office REFUSED to call my insurer's provider line even though that is THEIR responsibility. My insurer later said they would file a complaint about this dental office due to their practice of not calling the provider line to verify insurance eligibility. read more

I have been coming to this office for about three years now and I love it! Dr. Kim is so nice and her entire office is super welcoming. I recommend everyone to this dental office. In fact my entire family goes here! What I'm especially happy about is the composite filling procedure that Dr. Kim just performed. I've lived my whole life white spots on my teeth and Dr. Kim was able to fix that with a minimally invasive procedure. She worked hard to get me the best pricing and worked with my insurance. DONT COME HERE! these people are crooked & lie to your face! Came in for a workers Comp issue and worker's compensation confirmed with / Dental Office that they were covering everything. I was getting the BEST OF THE BEST. As soon as i was injected to numb my mouth they told me that my workers Comp wasn't covering a tooth (crown porcelain) it's considered a cosmetic and I would have to pay $350 out of pocket. So I went ahead and signed the papers cause I didn't feel comfortable with metal crown. Turns out MY WORKERS COMP did cover it and disputed the transaction. They "said I would be refunded the $150 that was taken that day but it takes up to a month" AND I WOULD BE CHARGED ANY ADDITIONAL FEES like they planned. Well guess what I WAS CHARGED $50 04/3/2020 so they lied to my face. CALLING MY BANK getting my $ back for sure. I would give this place a big ZERO but I can't. Second, they're giving false information saying the implants are a lifetime warranty when there's no warranty then they try to tell me that I needed to get a crown to fix my implant, which makes no sense at all. I came here for an exam and at first was told I had 3 cavities and needed 1 crown then when I came in to have them filled I was told I had 5 cavities and nothing about the crown was mentioned until I brought it up. So did I need the crown or were they trying to charge me for something I didn't need? The same dentist saw me each time and apologized for his misdiagnosed. While he was working I felt like I was drowning because my head was lowered and I hadn't been suctioned properly. After leaving and the numbness wore off I was EXTREMELY sore on the right side of my mouth. It was a weekend followed by a holiday so when I called Tuesday I was rudely told by Cythina that they couldn't see me because I had not received my medical card in the mail. After arguing with her about the fact that I was seen that previous week without my medical card in hand and I was in excruciating pain due to their work she told me to come in for a walk in. They did absolutely nothing at my walk in appointment besides tell me it wasn't infected and prescribed ibuprofen and told me to continue rinsing with salt water. I haven't been able to eat or sleep much because the pain was so unbearable. I've never been so miserable before. When I went to pick up my prescription I had to pay for it. Needless to say the walk in appointment was a waste of my time as I was already rinsing with warm salt water every hour and taking ibuprofen and Tylenol on my own. It seems when a problem occurs they want nothing to do with you. Will not be returning to this dentist. read more

I had my first visit at this office and I can say I recommend this place if you're looking for good quality service. Talking on the phone was a good experience with the receptionist Liz and when I went in for my appointment, she was helpful and friendly. I only waited about 5 minutes before they called me in the back and a nice lady took my X-Rays who was also friendly! I then got my teeth polished before the doctor to come in. I do have to say, I waited an hour for the doctor to come in which is the only complaint I'd have but when the doctor did come in, she was very friendly, talkative, sweet, and let me tell you, she is not trying to do any unnecessary work on you. I got told I had 7 cavities at Cal Select and I left that day and here I only had 1 cavity which sounded a lot more accurate. They didn't push a cleaning on me and other work like every other dentist place I've been to. The office manager (I think) came in and then went over the price and options for my crown preparation and she was the most helpful person since trying to get it done in the High Desert at multiple locations. She brought out the example of the crown without me asking and gave me options. She is really an open book and is there for you. The people here are the reason I'm staying here. My crown prep with temporary crown is so far so good and I'm waiting to go in for them to put it on and get the 1 feeling done my next visit and I'll update my review once I leave that day. That's the only reason I didn't add the extra star because I still have one visit and will be update. I just had my next appointment to cement my crown and do one feeling and it was a really fast and easy process. I came here to get my teeth checked. I didn't think it was that bad by I was under playing it. My dentist Michelle explained everything, what stage of tar build up was around my teeth and recommended treatment option. Since my teeth where bad, they said a deep cleaning and a laser procedure. It worked great and my gums look good as new. It almost looks like I didn't have bad teeth. The staff was great and helpful and the Dentist Michelle is the best dentist I 100% recommended coming here for dental services. read more

The Dentist was nice however ... The Hispanic lady in the front in her late 40's early 50's that presented my procedure plan was rude. Not only was she unprofessional, but had charges on my plan that were incorrect. After I confirmed with my insurance they were trying to charge me $230 more than what I was supposed to pay, she only became more rude. Not only that but they presented the procedure plan after they had already numbed me. You think that would be done first just in case changes had to be made or give patients the opportunity to think of different options. Also no options were presented to me about crown material. Other than the nice young man that took my x-rays, the rest of the staff had no compassion for someone scared of the dentist and and the dentist I saw was downright rude. They left me sitting in the dental chair in a room waiting for over 3 hours waiting to get an impression. The only other person in the office that was nice was the lady in charge of presenting me with a huge bill for procedures that they wanted to do. Then when I got my partial it was poor quality and didn't fit right. The dentist wasn't concerned with trying to make it fit comfortably. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me!!! read more
