We originally chose Marc samuels for our engagement, and wedding rings because they bought old jewelry. We also had a diamond that was my grandmothers that we wanted to put into my engagement ring, and they had settings for that. I'm so glad we chose them. They worked with us for half a day while my husband and I were super indecisive. They gave us a way below price for the set and worked with our budget and financials to figure out the best payment plan for us. They also replace any diamond that falls out (except for my grandmother's) they inspect, and clean our rings every 4 months. Little background... I am very familiar with with watches and current market price as I have several friends that are dealers and watch the prices constantly. And not to mention I am currently in the market for a Rolex and just left 2 authorized dealers. Walk into Marc Samuel's, one of the main guys sees I'm looking at Rolex and comes over. I ask him how much for the used 2 tone Skydweller he says $23k or $24... But I can do $22k... I just priced this new at the other 2 authorized rolex dealers new I think was $17.5k. Then I asked about a very used and last generation Submariner. He stated they are selling new for $16k and are very hard to get... At this time they are very hard to get but no way you sold one for $16k... That's 2x retail.. and he wanted $9,500 for the series he had. At this point should be about $7,500-$8,000 max. You'll want to avoid this place. My wife took my watch here for a battery change and they broke the watch. They claimed they were knowledgeable enough to change batteries on Tissot t-touch watches and they are not. They even tried to blame the company who changed the battery previously on their mistake...Tissot changed the battery last. I'm pretty sure the manufacturer knows what they are doing. Offered no compensation for breaking my watch. I had a very similar experience with another jeweler (they tried to change the battery, broke it and then Tissot fixed it). It's impossible to find someone who knows how to work on these watches, so I'll probably sell mine for parts and find something else. Very disappointed. read more

I happened to be a Grapevine Mills mall and decided to stop by because this jewelry store carries several lines I was interested in.the store manager greeted me and was very patient as I looked at several rings. And then I found the one! It was a little out of my budget and he offered me a price I couldn't refuse! We agreed in the day I would come in and pick up and it was sized and ready to wear out. My fiancé purchased my engagement ring from Marc Samuels, and he was extremely happy with the service, selection, and quality they offer. He worked very closely with Zameer to design a custom ring for me - which I am absolutely in love with and still can't stop staring at! While I don't know the exact pricing, he did say multiple times that the price that Marc Samuels offers is better than any other store he considered buying from, and that they also worked with him on what he could afford, financing, etc. He said he felt like he was able to take his time with the decision, and never once felt pressured or rushed to make a selection. Beyond the purchase process, their commitment to the maintenance is remarkable as well. Since the proposal, I've been by their new location to resize the ring and have it cleaned. I have to say, WOW! First of all, the store is very well-kept and beautiful. Their selection is also pretty remarkable - we were able to look at so many different band options for myself and my fiancé (who worked with Zameer to pick a unique Tungsten band he really likes). The process to get the ring size and cleaned was also so easy - I was able to get it back in no time, and it fits perfectly. Their jeweler's work is very thorough. My son purchased a diamond ring guard for his wife, from the Grapevine Mills Mall location, in January. The total price was $595.00. A week later, while they were on their honeymoon, one of the diamonds fell out. It happens. It's happened to me. They called the store and spoke to the owner, Ali Zameer, who told them to return the ring to the store and the diamond would be replaced and returned to them. They paid to ship the ring, the diamond was replaced and the ring was returned to them. Two weeks later TWO diamonds fell out. They again called Mr. Zameer, who told them he'd replace the ring this time. They again paid to ship the ring back and a week or so later, they received the ring back. It's important to note that my son and his wife are Marines, stationed in Virginia, so obviously this was an inconvenience. A week later, ANOTHER diamond fell out. By this time, my son and his wife had had enough of paying to return the ring, being without the ring more than they were with it, and were understandably skeptical about the workmanship of these particular rings. They told Mr. Zameer that they would like a refund - since this was the THIRD issue with this ring. Mr. Zameer initially insisted that he has a no refund policy - exchanges only. WHAT?? This wasn't exactly a pack of chewing gum we were talking about here. This was a $600 ring - a significant amount of money for a young couple who are supporting themselves on a military salary. After some discussion, Mr. Zameer agreed to refund $475. Apparently, Mr. Zameer gives a military discount - to himself. It was agreed upon by all parties that I would return the ring for my son since I reside locally. Well, it was a darn good thing it was handled this way, because this is when things really got interesting. When we arrived, after explaining the situation, we were told by one of Mr. Zameer's associates that Mr. Zameer was scheduled to arrive at the store within a half hour. The associate took my cell phone number, as well as my husband's number. He promised to call. We wandered around the mall for over a half hour - no phone call. We went back to the store and were told that Mr. Zameer was running late and would be another 15 minutes or so. He again promised to call. We waited another half hour - no call. We went back. This time we were told Mr. Zameer was in a meeting (this was a Sunday) and there was no telling when he'd be in. He wanted us to leave the ring and have them "take care of it". We declined his generous offer. We informed him we'd be back at closing time (7pm) and the associate agreed, but offered to have Mr. Zameer call us when he arrived. We thanked him. Mr. Zameer never called. We went back at 5pm (we were worried that Mr. Zameer might have another meeting just before closing and wouldn't be available). The elusive Mr. Zameer was there this time and we spoke directly to him. He never once apologized for any inconvenience, nor did he apologize for not calling us. Instead, he proceeded to make several excuses as to why the diamonds kept falling out - sizing the ring up compromised the integrity of the diamonds, the ring was banged around (neither of which were true, since the ring hadn't been sized either up or down). I let him know that I felt he was taking advantage of two hard-working Marines by not giving them a full refund. His response? "I'm out about $400 into this ring." Apparently, it didn't matter that not only was a young couple out of a wedding band, but they were out more than $100. Then Mr. Zameer advised me that he would refund the $350, which had been agreed upon. I knew this wasn't the correct amount, so I was forced to call my son and have Mr. Zameer confirm that the correct refund amount was $475. I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service, nor have I ever had the owner of a business downright lie and connive his way out of giving a refund on a shoddy product. I would never purchase anything from this business. It's absolutely disgraceful the way the owner treats his customers. Don't take your watch there. Waited over 6 weeks no call no email and they don't respond to emails either. I finally called them and one Of the watches needed parts from Ulysses Nardin but they are no longer an authorized dealer anymore. So they kept my watch 6 weeks and told me they can't fix or send to manufacturer and they still charged 90 bucks. They should have said something when we dropped it off. Purchased my wife a used Rolex Date Adjust. It was losing about 10min a day, which is way outside normal for a Rolex. Took it back to Marc Samuels to have them service it. Took about a week and it still was losing time. Long story short, took it to an AUTHORIZED dealer who sent the watch off to Rolex to be serviced.
