I needed a custom pendant for a Bday gift. Reached out to Govindji's and met w Yogesh. He was very professional and knew exactly what I had in mind. He gave me ideas from his custom jeweler and a quote. The gold pendant was made I picked it up the next day as promised by Yogesh. Very pleasant experience and I definitely recommend Govindji's for all your high end quality jewelry items. Thank you !! read more

Govindji's is your typical high end Jeweler in the sense that they provide a beautiful environment filled with beautiful jewelry, along with a staff of knowledgeable salespeople that will assist you in buying said jewelry. From the moment I pulled up, the building is beautiful and the feel is exquisite. Upon entering the building, you are greeted quickly and immediately notice the beautiful display cases full of beautiful jewelry. In this case, I was not here for a purchase, but rather a watch repair. Govindji's is an authorized Rolex repair facility. They don't do the work in house, they send it to the repair facility and ultimately facilitate the repair. I worked with Pradip Govindji, he was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer any questions I had regarding the brand. We talked for over ten minutes since I had a lot of questions, he was patient and kind. When the time comes for me to buy additional jewelry for myself and/or my family, this is my new go to spot. It's close, impeccable and provides great service. read more

Govindji's - Jewelry Near Me - FRISCO, Texas

BUYER BEWARE! We have been customers of Govindji's for about 6 years now, but over the years, we've noticed that their quality AND customer service have been diminishing. I bought my husband's white gold wedding band from them about 5 years ago, and he hardly wears it due to the job he has. It started tarnishing and and turning red. Yes, you read that right...RED! We went to the store a few months ago, and was asked by the greeter what we needed help with. I told her that my husband's ring was tarnishing and she quickly went to the back and brought the owner to come talk to us (red flag). He explained that white gold is only 92% pure and the other 8% is rhodium. Additionally, he told us that it needs to be replated with rhodium every 3-5 years and the charge for this is $60 (I believe); however, he told us he'd do it for free for us. What's interesting is that it was starting to turn red, but my entire wedding band set (2 bands) with the engagement ring from Kay's is worn almost everyday and there are NO signs of tarnishing on it. It makes you wonder where these guys get their products from. Furthermore, the owner gets some kind of sick pleasure repeatedly stating that he's been in business longer than any of the other Indian jewelry stores in the area. Yet, their quality and customer service are subpar. Another thing we have noticed repeatedly is that the customer service isn't equal for all customers. Yes, if you're Indian like we are, they will do everything in their power to secure a sale from you. However, others can be waiting to receive help for a substantially long period of time. This is NOT right! It doesn't matter what you look like - everyone deserves the best customer service. After all, without the customers, you don't have a business! On that same day, my husband wanted to look for a thicker banded gold ring as he didn't find any that he had liked at other jewelry stores. We were a bit skeptical purchasing from them again, but he had found one that he really liked and we believe in second chances, unfortunately. He asked for it to be engraved with the first letter of our names that were joined by an ampersand. Mind you, the owner was the one who was helping us with the sale. He told us that it would take a week to complete the engraving and that I could pick it up after that. Fast forward a week, and I arrived on a weekday as the store was opening and there was no greeter at the front, the employees appeared to be opening the registers for the day and fixing the displays. That was pretty surprising as everyone should be ready to go and helping customers by the time the store opens. I quickly located a girl to help me as NO ONE had bothered to approach me first, and she located my husband's engraved ring. I checked the engraving and asked her why the ampersand wasn't present and instead, our initials were connected by a dash. I also asked if there's a way to fix it. She said "Oh, our jeweler isn't here today and they used a dash instead. Otherwise, the engraving would be squeezed together." What the??? Umm ok, she handed me the ring and I said what about putting it in a box? They didn't actually expect me to stick my husband's ring in my purse all willy nilly, did they? And when you're paying top dollar for a product (since this place isn't cheap by any means), you better darn right put the customer's product in a box. How do they not know this? Absolutely ridiculous! We told ourselves that we will never go back and will not recommend Govindji's to anyone. They really need to invest in better quality products and training their staff on providing exceptional customer service. You're better off going somewhere else where once the "lights" are turned off, you're still getting a great product, but this isn't the place for that! read more

I went in today to Govindji to begin my hunt for a specific Rolex. I am fairly new to the luxury watch world but Yogesh was very accommodating and patient with me and all of my questions. The facility is very well maintained and feels very luxurious. They are also one of the few Authorized Dealers for Rolex in the metroplex. I'm looking forward to working with this team on my watch hunt! read more

I highly recommend Govindji's for your next purchase! Pradip and the entire staff are very friendly, informative, and patient. It's truly a first class experience. read more

I recently purchased a watch for my wife's 50th birthday. This was my second time to use Govindji's and I will continue to go back in the future. The service provided by Yogesh was first class and with no pressure. Govindji's truly makes it about meeting the customers needs. I found their selection to also be the best in the DFW area. Thank you to Yogesh and Govindji's for helping me make this birthday one my wife will never forget! read more

Revisited after ... maybe 20-ish years. While the business has grown dramatically, the prices remain very reasonable. The selection is massive. The staff is friendly. read more

This place has decent customer service, but their product is totally inferior. In the last 1 year I've had to return 2 sets of ear rings for repair. Although they offered to repair the jewelry free of charge, you don't expect to have so many problems, makes you wonder about the quality of the product. Not sure I'd purchase from them again. read more

I went into Govindji's for the first time the other day to look at casual rings for the new fall season coming up, especially since gold is a trend this year. I was wonderfully greeted by an amazing employee, NIKITA. She made the entire experience really smooth; she was really patient and allowed me to take my time looking at each piece. She's an indispensable addition to the GJ family and I really hope she'll be there for a while. I will be coming back in a few weeks to finalize a sale and hope to see her again :) read more

Was on a business trip from CA to TX. Was in a hunt for https://www.rolex.com/watches/submariner/m116613lb-0005.html since 6 months in and around all the Rolex authorized stores in Sacramento CA and surrounding areas. Walked into Govindji's Richardson TX store to check out their jewelry range. Also inquired if they have the blue dial Submariner date watch in Oyster steel and gold combination(current best selling rare find Rolex). Yogesh just showed me the watch in their display(as I didn't bother to check their range knowing its demand and generally, stores wont have it in their display. It is a rare find). Purchase was hassle free. Will visit again for my actual reason of buying jewelry for my wife. Their bangles range is huge. Recommend friends and family to visit Govindji's. read more

If you are of middle eastern Background your at the right place however I am not. I am a young Caucasian female and A they acted like I was invisible as well as the jewelry itself is ALL about their heritage so it's big medallions and gold everything. No beautiful diamonds no pretty things to view. B. The customer service is just appalling! It's that's bad! Again I may not be of the proper race so maybe their communication is limited (aka they don't speak English) read more

Although we didn't purchase anything today, we looked at some engagement rings and I gotta say they have a wide range of beautiful rings, watches and gold. My mother has bought gold rings here and is very happy with the purchase. The lady who helped us (unfortunately I forgot her name) was beyond knowledgable and sweet. She was with us at all times, was very helpful and answered all questions we had. Will be back in the future. read more

Not impressed. Visited the store to have my watch serviced, and they were unable to fix it. Was told that they did not have the parts. I just moved to the area and was looking for a jeweler to service my watches. Went to another store, and it was fixed within minutes. I get the impression their staff is not trained, and that would give me concern for such a high end purchase. Better to visit one of the other competitors for watches and jewelry. read more

I just love Govindji's! I went in there for an appraisal and as always treated like I have a million dollars. They have awesome customer service. You are treated like a person not a customer or a number. If you want to spend your hard earned money with a jewelry store that doesn't remember your name then go to the mall but if you want to be treated with individuality....Go to Govi's read more

Pretty things....poor service. After 5 minutes of browsing, it became clear that Govindji's is an Indian jewelry boutique. Beautiful gold and gems. However, 5 minutes more taught me that, as a non-Indian, I would not be waited on. My boyfriend and I were looking at engagement rings and seriously shopping. No one greeted us, offered to help us, or acknowledged our presence. My boyfriend had brought in two watches that we would have paid to have links removed from. We walked out. Undoubtedly unnoticed by the employees and customers. read more

This place has terrible customer service. My boyfriend and I went in to look at some engagement rings. It took a minute before anyone greeted us and the whole time it felt like we were just an inconvenience to them. We left within 5 minutes. We will not be going back. read more

I just wanted to note very positive experience with Govindji's. I just returned from the store after having a watch band adjusted (link removal). Pradip (Owner) was more thank glad to adjust the watch even though it was not purchased from his store (although Govindji's was an official dealer of the brand, etc.). He completed the task quickly (on the spot), professionally and without hesitation. I look forward to giving them some business as soon as the opportunity presents itself. And as fare as their showroom, it is is simply spectacular. Definite Thumbs Up. read more

I wanted to mention a positive purchasing experience with Gonvindji's. I dealt with Pradip Govindji upon visiting their store for the first time over the weekend. I was looking for a specific Rolex and they have a wide selection of every model. After visiting another Rolex Authorized Dealer in the area, I feel confident I got an excellent price from Govindji's and good service. They have a multi-level showroom that is very impressive to visit. I love the watch & am so happy I made the trip there. I live in University Park and there are other jewelers closer, but this was worth the additional drive. read more

Sent them two emails indicating I was looking for a new Rolex. No response. Did get a call after I sent a third email., so I'll give em an extra star for that. They offered to hold the watch until the next weekend, and we agreed not to hold the watch but I would contact to see if the watch was still available. When I texted yogesh (twice) he never replied. Guess business is too good and I'm not going to beg them to sell me a watch. Don't bother . read more

Last month I bought my husband his wedding band here!!! Himesh helped us and he was absolutely wonderful, the whole staff was!!! The selection there was amazing which made it hard to pick, but the knowledge staff answered all my questions, without pressure either way and made the process very easy for me!!! Also and equally as important we brought my husbands Rolex here that he had gotten passed down from his father as a gift for the wedding from his mother... Since his father has been gone for about 16 years now the watch needed some work and re-finished.. Once again we were THRILLED when we picked it up and it looked BETTER than new!!! Can't say enough good things about my experience here and the service!! Both world class!!! Will be back for my next jewelry needs!!! read more

We have purchased solitaire ring and some other jewelry. They have done excellent quality work. Jewelry design has so much quality detail in it. Their sales person Parita was so kind to show and explain everything in detail. We would love to visit again, if we get a chance to go to Dallas. Thanks! read more

I,m very satisfied with the patient and honest, bussines Mr Himesh Govindji,i will recommended to all my friends and family! 6 STARS! Thanks.

My fiancé purchased my Tacori engagement ring and wedding band from Govindji's and had an extremely pleasant experience. The team was very helpful and willing to answer any and all questions he had. They are priced fairly and have many options when it comes to bands and settings, from in house designs to Tacori and Sam G. We will be going back here for his wedding band and a watch in the next few months. They have a large collection of high end watches from Rolex and Tag Heuer to Cartier. Himesh and his team made the engagement ring buying experience a great one for my fiancé. Thank you all so much. read more

I went to Govindji's to buy gold Bangles for my daughter. I was not sure how to buy and what size, then I met this young lady Babitha the sales person who helped me choose good designs and was extremly helpful. She has done face time with my daughter for a very long time and shown all the designs to her. My daughter is very pleased and purchased 2 sets. Govindjis is has excellent customer service and very reasonably priced with a fixed price so no headache of bargaining. I would only consider Govindji's for all my future purchases. Thanks to Babitha who made my purchases very pleasant. read more

I agree with the other reviewer, this place has horrible customer service. Nothing to do with being indian or otherwise, coz i'm indian. I went on a weekend, and it wasn't crowded. 5 or so families in a 2 storied building is not at all crowded. I would say this place is highly under-staffed. And the girls just walk past you, as if you don't even exist. A warm welcome and basic manners would have been nice. It really doesn't take much effort to say 'i'll be with u in a bit'. We walked out after about 20 mins of no service. And yes, we were serious about buying, as I needed to travel in 2 days for a very special occasion. They just missed a valuable customer. Regardless of the service, they do have some pretty collection of jewelry. read more

Terrible customer service!!! If you're not Indian, this is not the place for you. Being desi was not good enough for the people working there to acknowledge our presence. But it's no big deal as Malani Jewelers will get my business. We have to spend big bucks on jewelry as there is a wedding coming up, and this shitty place won't be getting any of our money. read more

My wife and I came to the store to look for a gift for her. We were helped by a young lady who seemed interested in getting our business. I was ready to purchase a ring, but the size of the stone we wanted was bigger than what they could offer. She told me she would call/email "some people" the following business day to have them send a larger stone. She took all of my information and I asked for her card. I waited patiently for days. I never heard from her. I called a week later and she gave me some terrible excuse and promised to call me back. Never heard back. I called her again and same result. I guess they did not want my business! I ended up buying a beautiful ring from another store. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Extremely poor customer service. I will take my money elsewhere and I suggest you do the same. read more

One of the best decisions I made was going to Govindji Jewelers! When I went to other jewelers early on in the process I felt overwhelmed and frustrated .Yogesh was so helpful through the process! He explained everything to me and made me feel so comfortable! I had a tight deadline on when I needed the ring to be ready and Yogesh came through! The look on my fiancées face when she saw the ring made this entire process worth it! I would highly recommend Govindji jewelers! read more

We are pleased with the service provided by KEVAL. She was excellent and has thorough knowledge about the inventory. Even on face-time chat, she had lot of patience to show various products we were interested in. I had a very good and pleasant experience at Govindji's. The location is easy, the parking is easy, the building is new, clean, and roomy. There was no pressure and very helpful associates. I worked with Mruhi who was very pleasant, educated, and helpful with the buying process. I had been looking at watches for two months. I looked through the internet, visited jewelry stores locally and on business trips. I knew what I wanted but had been hesitant to pull the trigger. I went to the counter to browse their selection. Rhumi approached me, and was very familiar with the watches. She presented the watch, explained the process, and I pulled the trigger. There was no looking back for me. The jeweler adjusted the watch, Rhumi filled out the paperwork and I was off. On my way out I stopped to look at diamond rings and she opened the case and was very knowledgeable of the different qualities and straight forward on the price. I will definitely be going back to Giovandji's for all my jewelry needs. read more
