I went to CDC about 1 year or two ago to have a gold necklace repaired and the experience was pleasant. Based off that experience, I decided to return. I took a gold necklace in for repair on May 9th. I was told I would receive a call within 1 to 2 weeks. A month went by without any notification from CDC. I decided to stop by on June 8th to retrieve my necklace and take it somewhere else. The work was actually completed and the response I received was "oh we normally text". I informed them that I never received a call or text. They didn't seem too concerned about their mistake and lack of communication. I was told the necklace was repaired with 14k gold and after inspection, it looked much like a silver material. She even had to re-clean it. I wasn't happy with the work or service but I made my payment. I don't plan on returning. read more

Fabulous people, fabulous jewelry. I went to several stores and did a ton of research and ended up here. Their diamonds are higher quality and less expensive than most of the better known jewelry stores. Quality that someone who didn't know much about diamonds could see. Everyone in the store is knowledgeable and helpful, and nice. I have talked to everyone here and they are all great. I have purchased many pieces from them in the past, and they are making a custom ring for me now. I highly recommend this store if you are looking for high quality jewelry at reasonable prices. If you do a little bit of research on diamond color, clarity, and overall grading, you will never want to go to the jewelry stores that you hear all the advertisements for, ever again. Liz is a wonderful helpful person that you enjoy talking to. Her advice made the ten year anniversary gift for my wife perfect. I can't put into words how amazing she is. Eli is a straight shooter and his knowledge is unbelievable. He pointed out a flaw in a diamond that I had bought elsewhere and had never noticed before. It hurt a little bit that my diamond wasn't as nice as I thought it was, but now I know a little more about it and know where to look, so it won't happen again. So very happy that I found this place. I took my wife's platinum engagement ring there to get cleaned & polished. Platinum is notoriously very hard to work with. I was amazed about how it turned out. Sold me a diamond ring and assured me EGL certification is the same as GIA (it's not, GIA is highly respected). The price point was that of a GIA diamond, however, and I ended up paying much more. Some time later when I needed to sell the ring I contacted the store and was given a quote. Upon visiting I was informed that they "never do that" and are not buying at the moment. Either they're prone to lying or are incompetent, I think it's a combination of both. Not to mention their dishonesty in the selling process. I would recommend more credible jewelers where you pay what the item is worth and where they have some integrity. read more

After purchasing a ring from central diamond center through amazon I have to say their customer service is great and fast! After 2 issues with my original infinity mother's ring (first time fixed no issues) second time realized maybe something needed to change. After discussing the issues with Eli we were able to come to a conclusion that made both of us happy. Can't wait for my new and IMPROVED ring to arrive!!! I decided to buy a mother's ring from CDC based on the great reviews I read. The ring was a Christmas gift for my wife from our daughters. The web site said it was to ship and be here in plenty of time for Christmas. Then I got another email saying that it would not ship until the 26th. Of course I found this upsetting! I wrote to Eli to express my displeasure after reading so many good things about their customer service. I really didn't expect anything more than a apology. What I got was an upgraded ring, which is absolutely beautiful, straight from the store and shipped overnight at their expense! All in time for my girls to give it to their Mom on Christmas morning! DON'T spend your money here, go elsewhere. After doing much business with this location due to their upgrade policy, owner Eli told my husband and I that the diamond studs that we'd purchased a couple months earlier from him did not come from his location. We exclusively purchased from him. After asking if we could bring in an outside specialist he refused it stating he was the owner and could do whatever he wanted. After all the business and referrals he treated us like common thiefs. Save yourself the headache and go to a more reputable location. We didn't expect that after all the business we'd given him.
