I am compelled to write this review. I have been to Almar Jewelers on a few occasions. Generally, I have needed something small to be done. I have had links removed from a watch band. I have had a charm added to a bracelet. I've had a ring repaired. these are all small and insignificant tasks to a jeweler, but they meant a lot to me. The watch was sized, as I waited, so that it could be worn on a trip for which we departed the next day. The charm was added, as I waited, in a manner which allowed my granddaughter to wear it for a special occasion. As I said, small things to a business, but huge to me. Each time I have visited Alma, I have been treated as if I have spent thousands of dollars there. I've not. I hope that I get the opportunity to spend some good money at Almar. Simply put, I know that I will receive a value for that money, and that I will be treated as though my visit, and subsequent purchase, is very important to them. That is what they do. Need a jeweler? I came to this place as it was close by to my apartment- the reviews seemed good and I needed my engagement ring resized. I was under a strict time limit, and Almar Jewelers assured me they would have ring done in time. When I picked up ring, I felt it was too big, and they immediately resized ring down and let me continually try it on throughout process to make sure I got perfect fit. He even added notch to my ring to make sure it didn't swing around my finger. The ring is perfectly sized now, and I am so happy I found this place! The pricing is extremely reasonable, and the employees are so friendly. When I was sitting in lobby waiting for ring to be resized, I watched customer after customer come in- I can tell multiple people use and trust them, and I will return here for any further needs with my ring! I have used Almar for years for jewelry repair. Their work is great and prices are fair. They also fixed some costume jewelry for my daughter. Her jewelry wasn't expensive but meant a lot to her. She had gone to a jeweler in Colleyville Village first and the woman at the store (who I believe is the manager; she's worked there for years) treated my daughter like dirt - turning up her nose at her jewelry and saying they didn't touch costume jewelry. She then went to Almar, who welcomed her and her jewelry. I definitely recommend Almar. This year, Al cast in gold a copy of a silver charm that has a great sentimental value to my wife. The cost was very reasonable and the artistry was exquisite. He even brought out relief that had been worn away on the original. We moved away from the area almost 15 years ago, but had done business there for several years. Also, several years ago, my daughter's fiance purchased a diamond solitaire on the internet. The stone was as advertised, but arrived loose in the setting. A jewelry shop near TCU would not touch the ring, but Al had no problem re-setting the stone, and he charged her almost nothing. If you want custom work, see Al.
