I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Feldstein. He is so much better than any other doctor I've had, the difference is actually insane. He makes you feel so comfortable and you can tell that he genuinely cares about you and your health. He doesn't make you feel rushed, he takes his time to listen to you and explain things. I highly recommend!! read more

Dr. Feldstein appeared to be suffering from serious depression for several years. It was alarming how depressed he looked. He should have not been at work, didn't his partners notice? I was relieved that he wasn't not the partner on call when I went into labor early and had my baby. read more

His office sent me a bill for the remainder of the surgery they had owed me initially $450. They did not respond to one email or one message that I had sent. I sent a total of eight. I finally had to decline the charge with American Express. I don't feel owe them a goddamn cent, since I had to pay $1400 out of pocket To go to a different gynecologist and the emergency room to clean up his goddamn mess I would rather be dead, then pay the bill, that he had the audacity to send me. I will go to my grave with this bill. This money hungry prick has the nerve to ask for the $330 after my insurance already gave him the full amount of the surgery and partial first visit. This man is a sadist stay away completely from him. read more

Marc S Feldstein MD - Other reviews from woman - Obstetricians & Gynecologists Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I have been seeing Dr. Feldstein for a few years now. He has been nothing but caring, and patient with me as a patient. He always takes the time to thoroughly discuss my concerns, and provide me with helpful information and guidance. I have seen Feldstein for my annual, and other gynecological concerns I have had, and always feels as though he has a great bedside manner, and checks in with me multiple times throughout the appt. I cannot recommend him enough! read more

I was having lower abdominal pain and abnormal bleeding so I made an appointment with him, as a new patient, July 11th. I relayed my concerns and he wrote it off as having my period. Knowing of my past fertility problems related to hormones and an extremely noticeable change in mood, I asked for blood tests to see what my levels were and what the issue was with conceiving. He noted psychiatric medications I was on and said the only thing he would prescribe for me would be birth control. He refused to do any blood tests as it wasn't protocol but instead recommended a medical procedure. There was no pregnancy test done. Still having symptoms I made an appointment at a fertility on August 2nd. They did the bloodwork I had originally requested. It turned out I was pregnant. I also had confirmation from the ER at Rush when my symptoms grew worse. Later today I am going in to the fertility clinic to see if it is an ectopic pregnancy. If possible I would give no stars at all. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Feldstein's for almost 4 years. I have now begun the search for a new OB GYN because of his terrible bedside manner, arrogance, and incompetence. He has never spend more than 10 minutes with me, he always rushes me into and out of his office, he has never requested routine blood work for me (when he knows I have had high cholesterol in the past), and he always has made me feel like he was too busy to answer my questions. One time when I went in for my annual, Dr. Feldstein rushed so much that he forgot to do a breast exam. In my opinion, that is inexcusable. A breast exam is an essential part of a woman's yearly check up. Even one of the nurses told me she doesn't use any of the doctors in the practice, and if she even would, she would use Dr. Roth. read more

I shifted to Dr. Feldstein from my regular physician to get second opinion. He sounded very knowledgeable and he was able to shatter my false alarms. His staff was quick and efficient and I didn't have to wait in waiting area. I would go back to his office especially after I found out that his billing for medical visit was slightly less expensive than my regular ob/gyn's. PS: If you are going to drive to his downtown office keep in mind that the validation they offer is not full. I would recommend to circle around little bit and find street parking. read more

I'm an established patient with the same insurance as last years. Despite me scheduling in advance, the front desk failed to inform me that they no longer accept my insurance plan and that they've recently changed to be contracted with different insurances. I was not aware of this until after the nurse of Dr. Feldstein took my vitals in the operatory room with extremely long acrylic nails where you can see the accumulation of dirt underneath. Dr. Feldstein is professional, wise, and even made me feel comfortable during my previous appointment. However the lack of communication and inorganization of his admin/billing staff with his patients, and the lack of hygiene of his clinical assistants treating his patients, is not worth going to his practice especially for the sake of infection control at a gyno. In addition, the insurances that ZocDoc states he is in-network of, is incorrect and must be fixed. read more

Dr. Feldstein is amazing...just the best care and he is so concerned. I lost my insurance and I have not been able to see him for three years and now that I have insurance, he doesn't accept the BCBS Blue....so disappointed.....don't know how I will ever choose anyone else.... read more

It seems a little odd to be writing a review for my OBGYN, but Dr. Feldstein is wonderful and for anyone looking for a new Doctor needs to know he is highly recommended! I've been going to Dr. Feldstein for years and recently learned I am moving out of state. I will be sad to have to look for a new Dr. He is not only quick and efficient, but also very kind, understanding and explains everything to you in layman's terms. read more

After seeing such glowing reviews, I chose to schedule an appointment with Dr. Feldstein for a GYN procedure when I was unable to get it done with my PCP. He was warm, engaging, and thorough... up until the procedure. Not only was the pap smear the most aggressive I'd ever experienced, but the actual procedure was downright traumatic - he failed to show any compassion and offered ZERO communication as he mechanically went through the motions of the procedure. While grateful that he was able to get the task done in the same visit, I was left stunned and reeling from the barbaric treatment I received. My pap smear came back abnormal... and you can bet I will NOT be returning to him for the subsequent diagnostic procedures. read more

Doctor Feldstein is the best that you can get. He has a caring and personable disposition. He also has a great way of dealing with concerns so you don't sweat the small stuff. I've been a loyal patient for over 10 years. I couldn't recommend him more! read more

Dr. Feldstein is great! I have not had any kids but see Dr. F for regular exams. He is quick/efficient (in a GOOD WAY) as well patient and empathetic when you have questions or concerns. His team responds to message through the patient portal so fast. I needed a prescription changed and emailed them to make the request. Within minutes his team had called in the new prescriptions. I've tried multiple doctors in the city and he is by far the most responsive. read more

Normally wouldn't review my OBGYN - but Dr. Feldstein is seriously the best doctor that I have ever seen. He is so caring, understanding, and takes the time to explain and answer any questions. My coworker recommended him to me and I am so glad that I became one of his patients. read more

I am new to Chicago and was apprehensive going to a male OBGYN but Dr. Feldstein was wonderful. He took the time to answer all my questions and I didn't feel rushed at all. Also, I got to the appointment early and am used to having to wait for a while but they got me in right away. Bonus! Would definitely recommend. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Marc Feldstein for many, many years and he is wonderful. He always makes me feel comfortable and I appreciate that he takes the time to answer any questions I have, no matter how minor or embarrassing they may be. I find his bed side manners to be stellar. I am thankful that he is my doctor and I highly recommend him. If you google his name, you will see he has done some amazing things in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. I feel lucky to have him as my doctor. read more

Favorite Doctor Ever! Seriously, of all the doctors I've ever had, I've never felt like writing a rave review. I signed on with Dr. Feldstein after they told me Dr. Roth wasn't taking any new patients (she came highly recommended). I had no idea what to expect, but instantly found a doctor that actually spent time with me, listening to my concerns, my story, and didn't judge anything about me. Never felt this comfortable with a doctor before, let alone a male OB/GYN. I was astounded, and it's now been six years of consistently quality care from this kind man. Thanks Dr. Feldstein! read more

Best doctor. Makes you feel extremely comfortable and works with you 100% to meet your needs.

Dr. Feldstein is a fantastic doctor. I saw him after a couple of traumatic colposcopies with another female gynecologist, and he made me feel at ease immediately. He's warm, caring, intelligent, VERY sensitive to women's emotions (maybe he has a ton of sisters), and has a great sense of humor. I would rather interact with an authentic human being who has minor flaws like we all do, instead of my old female gyne who was always on time, spent a good deal of time with me at visits, and who wore a fake smile like a mask as she forgot to apply lidocaine before biopsies. Bring in Dr. Feldstein, please!! Regarding some of the negative reviews, it puzzles me as to why it's a problem that a doctor runs late when it means he's *spending time with patients.* The best doctors run late, ma'am. And others complained that he didn't spend enough time with them...if you cannot verbalize what you need, how is a doctor supposed to mind read? Dr. Feldstein is excellent at answering questions, so ASK! read more

Hands-down one the best doctor's I've ever encountered. He came in the room and we chatted before I even put the gown on. He learned about my medical history and listened to my concerns. He immediately made me feel very comfortable and I felt like I was chatting with a friend. After the actual exam, he spent like 15 minutes answering all my questions. He was in absolutely no rush, and kept asking me if I had any more questions for him. He was very knowledgeable and drew diagrams on a paper towel to better help me understand my question. I hope my insurance never changes so I can go back to Dr. Feldstein forever!!! I actually wanted to hug him after I left. His technique and personality was extremely refreshing and compassionate!!! read more

I love Dr. Feldstein. As you can imagine, a visit to the OBGYN is generally not a pleasant thing. I went through a string of horrible OB's before finding Dr. Feldstein, and he is by far the best. He goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and thoroughly explain what he's doing. He also speaks to you like a normal person, not in that condescending tone that many doctors seem to be big fans of. My only complaint would be parking, but as his office is downtown, there's not much I can do about that! All in all, I'm a huge fan of Dr. Feldstein. He definitely knows his stuff! read more

After delivering my son 6 years ago, he jokingly said to my husband, "I put in an extra stitch, you can put the check in my bag." I AM NOT JOKING! Not to mention he gave me an episiotomy without consulting me, or any of the nurses. So if you are ok with outdated labor practices that cause permanent damage to your body, and you don't mind misogynist jokes, then by all means, see this horrific doctor. He's lucky I never filed a formal complaint. I highly recommend you leave the entire practice so you don't get stuck with him like I did. I just finally got the courage to post this. read more

I wrote a pretty bad review about him, and I still stand by our experience with him, but he was professional about contacting me directly for feedback. That says something good read more

The best doctor I have ever gone to. Wonderful bedside manner, always puts me at ease and answers every question. He's really a great guy and a great doctor. read more

I went to Dr Feldstein for my first pregnancy and had a horrible experience. I told him on my first visit that I was trying several doctors to find the right fit, and because I'm probably a more ideal patient-- young (naive :-)), healthy, no complications, and have a good partner for support--he definitely tried to win me over (which he did, unfortunately). I should have known he was a bad idea from the beginning-- his hands are probably larger than pie tins. Ouch. Appointments started out great and got much worse over time. By the time I delivered the baby, it really couldn't have been much worse. I went into labor and he argued with me and told me I wasn't in labor (I was-- contractions 5 min apart for 30+ secs) but I finally went to the hospital anyway (and I was already dilated to a 4). Though he had promised me early on he would deliver me no matter what, when he arrived he acted like he was doing me a favor (after insisting he wouldn't come unless I got pitocin and an epidural-- though in his office he said he would let me go naturally if I wanted. But he didn't). There are probably 50 things through labor and delivery that left my husband and me agahast, but I'll spare the details or this post would be a novel. Finally when it was time to push, he yelled at me that "we wouldn't get anywhere if I kept trying to push like that." I've never seen my husband so close to punching anyone ever. The nurse also seemed horrified and sent him out of the room. After a brief explanation on how to push (this was my first delivery and he had made me get the epidural so I couldn't feel anything) it took me 15 minutes to deliver my baby. I am not inept, I just needed a little coaching. I delivered on New Years Eve, so maybe he was irritated that this was his day off or something? It still ruined the whole birthing experience. Dr Feldstein was definitely not the right doctor for me. I caution anyone who goes to him for a pregnancy. read more

Moving to Chicago a couple years ago meant having to find another gyno, which can be very stressful. My sister is a patient of his so she referred me. I have been seeing him for awhile now and have no complaints. I would also like to say that yes, it does seem like they see mostly preggo women, but it hasn't made a difference in my experience. He has always been very friendly and patient with me, and has never seemed rushed. I would like to say though that he can be a little "creepy" by some women because he is very complimentary and that can be perceived as awkward for some. For example, during or after he is done "examining" you, he will say "you look perfect! everything looks great!" I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new gyno. read more

I was a bit leery changing gynecologists after fourteen years with the same doctor, but Dr. Marc Feldstein made it seem like I had been his patient for ten years. I saw Dr. Feldstein for the first time this week and by far one of the best medical appointments to date. He was patient, thorough, and extremely helpful. I felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire appointment. His staff is also extremely friendly and was able to squeeze me in right away. The building is a bit intimidating, mainly because I'm new to Chicago, so allow yourself time to find parking. Public transit, walking, or uber is a much better option than self parking. I'm thankful the powers that be led me to Dr. Feldstein, who made the (usually uncomfortable) experience feel like a Sunday stroll. I look forward to seeing him for all future gynecological appointments. I intend on referring Dr. Feldstein to every female I know! read more

Since moving to Chicago I have been to a number of different Obgyn's, and Dr. Feldstein is the first one I have felt complete trust in. After I got pregnant with an IUD I was completely shocked. However, Dr. Feldstein was incredibly patient, calm, and supportive. He stayed two hours late in the office waiting on delayed test results for me. The next day, he sat down and answered all of my questions and concerns, even though I didn't have an actual appointment to see him. He never made me feel as though I was wasting or using up his precious time. His bedside manner makes you feel relaxed even in the most awkward of situations. I will definitely recommend him to friends in the future. read more

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Feldstein - he took his time, got to know me, gave me lots of information and involved me in decisions about my health and my care. He was very reassuring with some followup testing and care, and made the process as smooth and easy for me as possible. Will definitely be returning to Dr. Feldstein as my permanent doctor! read more

My daughter in law had to see Dr. Feldstein because her regular obgyn was out of town. First, she was asked to arrive two hours prior to her actual appointment because of some scheduling difficulties, which she did without complaint. She has been having difficulty breathing, and was hoping for some insight into how to ease her discomfort, but when she related this condition to Dr. Feldstein, he rolled his eyes and said, in a very exaggerated delivery, "you are carrying TWINS, and you are in your third trimester. And then as an aside, "God, it's going to be a long day." My daughter in law is not a hypochondriac, is a well regarded fourth grade teacher, and the mother of a six year old, but Dr. Feldstein treated her like an totally uninformed ignoramus. The length of his visit with her basically lasted as long as this interaction, then he was off and yelling at the nurses, at the top of his lungs, that one of them was supposed to have taken her blood pressure, and questioning why they were so incompetent. It was a visit that no patient should have to endure, much less one who is trying to handle a third trimester placenta previa multiple pregnancy. The only good thing about this whole interaction was that she really appreciates her regular doctor even more, and is so thankful that she has a prescheduled C section, so she won't have to worry about being tended to by Dr. Feldstein! The only reason he's getting one star is that I can't figure out how to give minus one. read more

I have to agree strongly with the first reviewer. I am writing this for my wife & we decided to wait until after our baby was born to write this review. She had an extremely bad experience with Dr. Feldstein. He was unprofessional, uncaring, rushed and arrogant. For example, during our animo--he came in flustered saying he had a plane to catch & might have to cancel. My wife indicated she had taken 3 days off work to rest (the day of & 2 after the procedure). He than proceeded to rush through, did not get enough fluid for the testing, caused extreme pain to my wife digging around with the long needle & literally ran out of the room. Seeing my wife was in pain, he paused for maybe 20 seconds & said "you are going to be ok!" then was gone. Later after discovering that my wife had decided to switch to another doctor in the practice, Dr. Feldstein called her twice to confront her about the switch & then proceeded to make a huge ordeal in the office to the nurses & the other doctor. I had this confirmed by several staff & also spoke to him myself about respecting my wife's decision. After that, mysteriously, several of my wife's subsequent appointments were not in the computer when she arrived to the office & many of our files (including our potential dates at Prentice) had been thrown out along with anything else Dr. Feldstein had included in the file. I think these examples more than showcase his demeanor. I will review our new doctor soon. She was absolutely fantastic! read more

Dr. Feldstein has been my Physician for the past three years. Prior to my husbamd and I findning out that I was pregnant he was what I'd say an ok Physician. However, after I learned that I was pregnant each of my appointemnts he was arrogant, had no compassion, and gave me mis- information. Both appointments were very rushed and he had attempted to give me another patients ultra sound, becuase he was rushing. He's made what I think very rude comments, and does noes not seem best fit for a Physician of a women who is with child. I would not reccomend him, as this is in my opinion. read more

After being a patient of Dr. Feldstein for over 5 years, I'm searching for a new OBGYN. He's consistently rushed me in and out of the office, even though I've waited on average, over 15 minutes in the waiting room and another 20 minutes in the exam room for him. On my last and certainly FINAL visit with him, after waiting, he told me he was too busy to perform a the routine pap, and instead, ordered up a blood test to validate the fact he still charged my co-pay. Whether it's arrogance, ignorance, or a complete lack of patient respect - I'm not sure and not willing to stay and find out. read more

Ive had bad doctors. Lots of them. Almost died because of them...and now I can read the good ones and the bad. Dr. Feldstein is a great doctor.(I have been his patient over 4 years now) He never made me feel like I was ignorant, or a hypochondriac. I even explained my past medical history including my distrust with Dr.s after the tumor was found (that all the other Dr.s said was in my head- for years suffering with it...hoping it was all in my head) He even understood my complications of abdominal adhesions. We are watching a dermoid (on my ovary I believe) instead of operating for instance- because he understands the risks associated with having any surgery of my abdomen (even endoscopic removal of endometrial tissue). He knows that it could be extremely fatal... and other Dr.s itching to make more money and have more surgery- may have gone ahead with surgery for my dermoid, my endometriosis and my intercystial cystitis...and in the efforts would have caused more adhesions- and more harm than good-including the very real issue of fatality (due to the adhesions.) He honors the hippocratic oath- and has done what is best for me and my extensive and unique medical history. And he explains the whys one might have. And does so that you can understand. He also seems to care. Arent Drs supposed to? I appriciate his kindness and even his bluntness. I *really* appriciate his medical knowledege and up to date continued education. He really seems to have an intelligent approach and an authentic passion for what he does. Good Drs like Dr. Feldstein are starting to get me to trust Dr.s again... read more
