No one wants to be told they need to see a Reproductive Specialist, but if you have to get that…read morenews, hopefully you are able to go see Dr. Nayak. I didn't have a great experience with my regular OBGYN, but I could tell it was going to be different from the second I walked into my first appointment with Dr. Nayak. She clearly cared right from the start, and that never changed. My husband and I worked with Dr. Nayak and her team for almost a year, and I'm sure it would've taken a lot longer with someone who didn't make sure we were doing everything we could each step of the way. She was informative and patient, and always made sure we were well-informed and comfortable with the directions we were taking. I had a bad reaction to the egg retrieval (OHSS), which we knew was possible given my profile. Dr. Nayak made sure we understood that risk, and helped decrease the risk, but we were aware that it might be something we would have to deal with in order to get our embryos. I have never had a doctor be more responsive and caring during a complication than Dr. Nayak. She was constantly checking in with me via texts and phone calls, and even pulled together a team on a Sunday to do a draining for my fluid buildup. She also sent me a text on the 4th of July to make sure I was feeling better - never would have expected that from a doctor! I am 14 weeks pregnant now, and will 100% go back to Dr. Nayak for baby number 2.

Dr. Nayak spent a lot of time with my husband and I up front to explain the process and answer all of our questions. She also called after each process to explain the next steps. She is extremely patient and knowledgeable. The staff was also extremely responsive and helpful. Any time I had a question, or concern, I was able to connect with a nurse immediately. Because if Dr Nayak we will be welcome our new baby in February 2020!

She doesn't make me feel rushed, which is always a concern when seeing a doctor. I've gotten lucky there with medical providers. She's no-nonsense, funny, pragmatic, and approachable; I don't feel embarrassed or like I'm asking a stupid question. My primary care nurse had suggested Dr. McNair for years before I finally visited her, and the first time I did I was annoyed with myself for giving in to my fear (I don't relish visiting doctors) and not going to see her earlier. Here's hoping I need to see her for obstetrics care soon. My biggest complaint isn't about her or her care, but is how practically impossible it is to get an appointment with her. I mean that's a testament to how beloved a physician she is, which does inspire continued confidence. I had to try for four months before I finally was able to get in--and that's as a returning patient. That is incredibly nerve-wracking. Don't get confused by the elevators. You select your floor outside the elevator car, then hop in the elevator that it tells you to use. There's parking in the building, though it's pretty tricky because it's also a residential building (though those spaces are somewhat set apart), and the vast majority of the parking spaces say they're for small vehicles only. My car is a small SUV and I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable parking it in one of them. There is parking elsewhere--this is an extensive medical campus, so there are other parking garages as well as the potential for street parking. The advantage of parking in the garage, though, is that they validate. I don't know how much street parking is so it's quite possibly less expensive, but it's Streeterville, so you never know.

He literally saved my…read morelife and has continued to go above and beyond for what has been a very complicated and emotional journey with stage 4 endometriosis and infertility. I first met Dr. Shashoua after a failed embryo transfer that left me septic, internally bleeding, and in critical condition. I was so sick that I didn't fully understand what was happening -- I was truly dying. Dr. Shashoua stepped in with the urgency, skill, and calm confidence that only an exceptional surgeon can bring. He performed the emergency operation that saved my life, and I will forever be grateful. After stabilizing me, he did something that shows how deeply he cares about his patients: he referred me to a far better fertility doctor because he knew I needed more specialized and attentive care than I had previously received. That referral changed everything for my fertility journey. A few months later, he performed my endometriosis excision surgery and removed my tubes. These were major, life-altering procedures, and he approached every decision with precision, empathy, and extraordinary expertise. I now see him regularly to monitor and manage my endometriosis and infertility, and he continues to provide the highest level of care. What sets him apart is how closely he works hand-in-hand with my fertility doctor, ensuring that every aspect of my treatment is coordinated. My case is extremely complex and often overwhelming, but he has never once made me feel like a burden. He treats me with compassion, respect, and true dedication. If you have endometriosis, fertility challenges, pelvic pain, or any complicated gynecologic or urologic condition, Dr. Shashoua is the doctor you want in your corner. He is an extraordinary surgeon, an exceptional physician, and someone who genuinely cares about his patients' lives and futures. I owe him mine.

After having a completely terrible…read moreexperience with another OB very early in my pregnancy, I went online and googled "best OB in Evanston" Dr. Warner was at the top of the list. After reading a bunch of other reviews, I switched my insurance over to her and never looked back. She is knowledgeable, patient, responsive, honest, and every other positive thing you'd look for in an OB. I was almost 3 months pregnant at our first visit and reeling from my previous terrible experience with Dr. Herriges and his practice (that's a whole other story - feel free to read that review if you want to know what not to look for in an OB). She answered all of my questions, helped my icky feelings fade away, and put my mind at ease in a matter of 15 minutes. She helped me get my very limited medical records sent over, reviewed my results from those tests and let us know that everything was going well thus far in a matter of days. Throughout my pregnancy, she never cancelled an appointment, was extremely communicative, and kept me confident that we could totally do this. Her office has a nurse available to answer questions M-F and they call you back promptly with answers to your questions, no matter how silly the questions may seem. On to my delivery, which was unplanned to a degree. Our babe was breech, and we tried spinning babies exercises, moxa, acupuncture, and nothing worked. We made the decision to try ECV, for which Dr. Warner referred us to a MFM specialist. On the day of the procedure at 37 weeks and 2 days, things did not go as planned that Dr. let us know we would delivering that day and that Dr. Warner knew and she'd be over as soon as she finished with one other patient. Holy. Crap. Well, Dr. Warner arrived, made sure we understood what was happening, walked me into the OR, soothed my frazzled psyche with some deep breaths and her ultra calm demeanor, and we were on our way. Dr. Warner truly is the best OB in Evanston, at least she is the best one for me. I absolutely adore her and her team!

Despite my constant complaints, she repeatedly documented my pelvic exams as "normal."
