The new leaf I have turned over this year is to not allow people, no matter what sort of "superior"…read moreposition of service they may be in, to waste my time. Doctors are no different. I had a doctor's appointment today at 3:15. I even called ahead and asked if she was on schedule because I had a class across town that i didn't want to be late for. I arrived early and was taken into the exam room at 3:00pm. I was initially grateful for them to take me early. Boy, was I wrong. After my vitals were taken by the nurse, I was left in the cold exam room with nothing but my gown on for the next hour. This is totally inexcusable. They could have left me in the waiting room, fully clothed, reading a magazine if the doctor wasn't ready. But instead, they leave you in this awkward and uncomfortable situation. I got dressed and got ready to leave, but not before breaking down. I have had health problems in the past that make going to this type of doctor stressful enough without being left alone naked in an exam room. They did not even offer to validate my parking on my way out. I called to let them know to have the doctor call me because I was upset that I had paid $21.00 in parking, waited an hour after my appt. time, etc. I got a call later NOT from the doctor, but from one of her staff apologizing and telling me they made an appt. for Feb. 13th. Lame. The fact that they couldn't accomodate me earlier given the circumstance is inexcusable. I was also informed that a transfer of my medical records would be $35.00. Total, utter bullshit. I left my last doctor for the same reason. They are a business, just like any other and I DO have a choice. And I choose to not be treated with such disregard for my feelings and time.

I went to Dr.King for an IUD removal/replacement consult (my first insertion at another OBGYN…read moreclinic was horrifically painful and traumatic, and I've been neglecting going back to an obgyn and getting annual pap smears because of how scared I felt). I decided to come here for the first time for a consult of IUD replacement options, and was comfortable enough during the consult to go ahead with a full general exam/pap smear, and Dr.King even offered comprehensive bloodwork to be done as I had some concerns. He was extremely professional, compassionate, listened to every concern I had and addressed every thing I was worried about. He mentioned things I hadn't even heard of other clinics doing like performing an ultrasound during the IUD insertion so they can see it being inserted properly, as well as anesthetic options. Dr. King gave me a few options to choose from for replacement/pain management and I'm so grateful to have gone to him. He made sure that I asked every question I can think of, and I really felt heard. Women's health care should be a much bigger priority when we are discussing pain management, long-term care, and making sure that patients feel comfortable enough to go back to maintain health. I felt like this office and Dr.King really care for their patients, and the Office Manager also came to check in with me to make sure if there was anything else they can do to make my visit more pleasant, and also gave me detailed information about costs that I had requested. I made an appointment for my IUD replacement, and I have already recommended this place to a couple others. I saw that the other negative reviews were mostly about not being vaccinated/boostered for COVID. I am grateful that this clinic prioritizes their staff and patient's health and was even more of a green flag. Everyone was mindful, polite, and made my experience comfortable

When I moved to Chicago, I didn't have an OB/GYN and researched x100 to find the best one. PC4W made the transition easy, and even after having a baby I am just as pleased as I was the first appointment that I had. I also visit this office for my melasma (hyper-pigmented skin). Alganesh, the aesthetician, is excellent. She listens to what you would like to achieve with your procedures and talks you through the process. I receive IPL treatments regularly and love them. I look forward to my appointments not only because of the amazing results I have received but because all of the doctors, nurses, and especially the front desk are great! Everyone has been so kind and helpful. Thank you!

Seeing all of Ann's horrible reviews on yelp, Google and other sites makes me feel so validated…read more I had the unfortunate experience of having one visit with Ann. She is one of the rudest condescending dismissive doctors I've ever encountered. My main doctor is Dr. O'Connell who is wonderful I had no problem with any other doctors at the practice she was one of two horrible doctors out of the 15 that are there. This woman has no business being a doctor or being around women who are having babies. She has a horrendous bedside manner and I'm going to do everything in my power to report her to patient relations at prentice and escalate even farther up. I feel so validated seeing all these other negative reviews about this horrible woman. You can clearly tell she hates her job and hates woman. She is an abusive bully

Read All The Reviews - Dr. Starr is a terrific doctor…read more I have never written a review of a doctor before but after seeing the reviews of Dr. Starr I'm compelled to write this. I was referred to Dr. Starr by my primary physician whom I adore when I had an abnormal pap smear. Upon arriving at the office I was seen on time, my vitals taken and Dr. Starr took me to her office to thoroughly explain the office procedure she would be doing. She took a very long time giving a detailed explanation and answering my questions. During the procedure, she was professional and thorough. We also spent time talking and getting to know each other a bit. I thought she was extremely personable, funny and a well-trained physician. She told me that my primary physician was also her physician which confirmed to me that she was the right doctor for me. I would highly recommend Dr. Starr to my friends and family.

Review of gynecologist DR. MARC FELDSTEIN…read more If I could give Dr. Feldstein 10 stars I would! I've had other gynecologists in the past, and they pale in comparison to Dr. Feldstein. For me, it's extremely frustrating during a doctors visit when you feel rushed, confused, uncomfortable, or leave with questions you still need clarification on. This is the polar opposite of the care you will receive with doctor Feldstein. He is attentive, listening to every single question or concern you may have, providing extremely thorough explanations that you can actually understand. During appointments, I never feel rushed; Dr. Feldstein makes you feel comfortable and at ease at all times. For me nothing is more important than feeling comfortable and confident in your providers knowledge and expertise when receiving a gynecological exam. Dr. Feldstein possesses infinite knowledge, and provides unparalleled care. Not to mention he is genuinely kind and cares for his patients. It is never a hassle to make an appointment and the receptionists and nurses are all very professional. Dr. Feldstein, I can honestly say, is the best doctor I have ever encountered and I am a patient of his for life. If you are in need of a gynecologist or want to switch gynecologist, I would highly recommend Dr. Feldstein. You will not be disappointed in the care you will receive!

Unprofessional, heartless, and completely devoid of empathy…read more My very first ultrasound here and as a FTM was unfortunately a terrible experience. I was publicly scolded in the hallway, near the waiting area, as I'm exiting the bathroom (hadn't even closed the door yet) by the ultrasound tech for using the bathroom before my appointment. My doctor never informed me a full bladder was required, yet when I explained I had been in agonizing discomfort, and was unaware of this rule, the tech doubled down, shamed me, and told me I "should have read the packet." "Didn't you get a folder?" "It was in the instructions" "Okay well I guess we can try it anyway, cmon let's go!!" - as I'm attempting to grab my things from the waiting room" No grace, no understanding--just public humiliation while vulnerable and pregnant. My husband and I were so taken aback and stood there, completely stunned. What should have been a beautiful moment to see my baby was robbed by the hostility of the tech. It only got worse. When I immediately broke down to NP Rachel about how deeply upsetting and unprofessional the tech's behavior was, she stared at me with ice-cold indifference. As I sat there crying, she didn't offer a single apology, acknowledgement of what I just shared with her or even a tissue as I'm crying (I literally can't make this up) Instead, she completely washed her hands of the situation, telling me to "talk to Michelle on your way out, she handles all that stuff" Now I'm frustrated, I say "Ok, and who is Michelle? And what "stuff does she handle" "Are you at least going to put this in my notes" NP Rachel - "She is the office manager and she just knows and has experience handling all of that, so yeah she'd be the one to talk to" lmao WHAT?! I'm now flabbergasted by her response and complete dismissal. Never have I had a provider tell me to take my concerns about PATIENT CARE to an office manager. I am your patient, not the office manager's. To top it off, Michelle was conveniently on "break," and my promised follow-up call never happened. It took an entire week and me officially requesting my medical records to transfer care for anyone to even acknowledge me and then I was told the sticky note to call me was lost on Michelle's desk. The incompetence is crazy at this point. Aside from two lovely receptionists named Renee and Maria, this entire practice is a cold, unprofessional failure. If you want to be treated like a human being during your pregnancy, stay far away from this place!!!

As both a patient and a nurse, my labor and delivery experience with Dr. Salasche was extremely…read moretraumatic. It has taken me one year to work up the courage to write this. I arrived in spontaneous labor and was having strong, regular contractions on my own. My labor was progressing normally and was not prolonged. Around 5 cm dilated, my daughter experienced her first heart rate deceleration. Rather than taking a more cautious approach after that change, Dr. Salasche told me she wanted to start Pitocin and manually break my water. I questioned why these interventions were necessary. As a nurse, I understood that Pitocin would intensify my contractions and that breaking my water would remove the protective cushion of amniotic fluid surrounding my baby. Given that she had already experienced a heart rate deceleration, I was deeply concerned that these interventions could place her under even more stress. My labor was already progressing naturally, and my contractions were strong and effective without augmentation. I specifically told Dr. Salasche that I did not want my water broken or Pitocin started at that point based on both my clinical knowledge as a nurse and my intuition as a mother. Despite making my wishes clear, she forcefully broke my water and told me I "didn't have a choice." They did not start Pitocin after I repeatedly refused. In that moment, I felt powerless. No one should ever be made to feel that informed consent no longer applies simply because she is in labor. What happened next was equally disturbing. My labor nurse advocated for me, asking that we respect my wishes and allow my daughter time to recover from her heart rate deceleration before proceeding with additional interventions like breaking my water or starting Pitocin. Rather than engaging in a thoughtful discussion, Dr. Salasche yelled at the nurse in front of me, stating that she had given her an order and instructing her not to undermine her. As both a patient and a nurse, witnessing a physician berate a nurse for advocating for her patient was heartbreaking. Instead of fostering teamwork during a critical moment, it created an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. I will always be grateful to that nurse for having the courage to advocate for me and my daughter when I felt my own voice had been taken away. Nurses truly are the heart of healthcare. Throughout my labor, my daughter continued to experience episodes of heart rate decelerations, and at the time no one knew why. After delivery, we learned that she had a short and marginally inserted umbilical cord and cord compression. Looking back, I can't help but question whether attempting to augment my labor with Pitocin and manually breaking my water after those initial decelerations could have placed my daughter at even greater risk. While no one can know with certainty what would have happened, those decisions continue to weigh heavily on me given what we later learned. In fact, while under Dr. Norlin's care during my pregnancy our daughter's heart rate had dropped from 150/160 to 120 about a week prior to delivery. I thought it was clinically significant and also mentioned I felt really small being so close to my due date and that my sister had placenta issues so I was concerned. I asked for a scan and she said no. Now we know this: After delivery, pathology revealed multiple abnormal findings, including an extremely short 14 cm umbilical cord, a significantly small placenta, and circummarginate membranes. My labor was not prolonged. I received my epidural around 2:00 a.m., and my daughter was born vaginally just after 10:00 a.m - healthy and happy. I was progressing naturally, yet I was repeatedly pushed toward unnecessary interventions. I never felt heard, respected, or safe in Dr. Salasche's care. Every patient deserves informed consent and respect. I'm incredibly grateful that my daughter is healthy, but I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience. My hope is that no other woman leaves her birth feeling that her voice was taken away.
