He was able to come the same day to fix the vent. From beginning to end they were very professional, personable, neat and efficient. American Home Shield, our home warranty company, had Diamond come and service our dryer last week…read moreafter it suddenly stopped working. I called to arrange for an appointment on Friday afternoon and they were able to schedule us for Monday morning, so that was not only very lucky, but also super convenient. I received a confirmation email and phone call about the appointment on Friday from Diamond. On Monday I was expecting Diamond between 11 am and 2 pm and around 12:30 (I think) I received a phone call letting me know that Jimmy (I believe this was his name) would be arriving in about 20 minutes. Excellent. Jimmy arrived right on time and took our dryer apart, cleaned the inside back panel of 15 years of lint (TIP: unscrew the back panel of your dryer and check for lint leaks from your dryer hose to prevent unwanted fires) and made a really good suggestion about running an extension to our dryer vent under our deck and then told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the dryer, but the outlet or fuse box was damaged. Nuts. The dryer had to be ruled out, so this visit was helpful and Diamond was professional and polite. While Jimmy put the dryer back together we had a nice chat about new appliance technology and then he made suggestions about what we should do next to fix the electrical problem. We ended up hiring a family friend to replace the outlet and fuse box (thanks for the tip Jimmy!) and BOOM the dryer started running again like a champ. We would hire Diamond again without hesitation. They were on time, helpful and professional. Even though our problem was not resolved, it was because it was beyond their scope of expertise - electrical work - and they did everything they possibly could to help us.

Received a text from G & G a week later telling me parts were in and service was scheduled for Saturday. I had plans for that day and contacted G&G. Was on hold for over 25 minutes. Finally spoke to representative and was told Saturday was the only day for 3 weeks that someone could come, so take it or wait. So I had them come. On Sunday, I did a tub of wash and the machine sounded worse and worked worse than before. Maytag didn't seem to care, just saying they were sorry, but G&G appliances was the only repair company they used. I have now had 2 appointments canceled without them letting me know. Repair man showed up today and had to order numerous parts, so now I wait again. It has now been 2 and a half months and it still isn't fixed. NEVER BUY A MAYTAG!!!!!!!!!!
