Helping my mother sell her house was nothing short of stressful but Luis and his crew made it easy…read more After 25 years in a single home, it had grown to our specific needs and wants and less to what people look for when buying a new home. After receiving a number of quotes and timelines, I decided to go with Luis. Luis and his team were amazing. Out of all the different groups of people you deal with when selling a home - plumbers, haulers, landscapers etc.. Luis's group was by far the most polite and professional I came across. The quotes he gave me were reasonable and always accurate, his work completion timeline always what he said, and the quality of the work was excellent. His workers are focused and work very hard day after day until completion. I was very impressed. I initially hired him to paint all walls, ceilings, doors and window trims. This job involved removing wallpaper, patching holes, filling cracks and painting with great precision. Once I saw the quality of his work; I asked him to continue with other jobs in the home. Ultimately he helped me tile a bathroom, drywall a couple ceilings, repair trim on the exterior of the house and lay new floor across 300sq ft. Every job completed at a reasonable price for the excellent quality you are getting. I really do not know how I could have prepared the home as quickly as I did without them. I would hire Luis and his crew again in a heartbeat and have already recommended him to my neighbors who are in need of some work soon. Thank you again,

It is very disappointing based on prior reviews. The sink was coming off the wall. It was unusable. We decided to replace not only sink, by old tile floor, toilet, mirror and lights. Tom answered all the questions and concerns before the job started. He found a small vanity sink that fit our bathroom. There were not too many options when it came to tiles, so seeing a few more options before deciding would have been nice. The job took 4 days instead of 5. It moved along at a good pace. Overall, it was a positive experience. I really enjoy the final results of our half bathroom remodel.

He handled a large kitchen renovation for us that involved the design itself, taking down a load-bearing wall, replacing a wooden floor, moving a steam pipe, moving ductwork, adding light fixtures, running new electrical & plumbing, installing cabinetry, and painting & finishing. I think a big value add, and justification for his rate, is that he is a one-stop shop. He has a closely-knit team of trusted partners, and that contributes to the consistent quality and speed of work. You could pursue a cheaper option like Home Depot, but they make no guarantee on their subcontractors' expertise, and what they can do is extremely limited (structural changes are a nonstarter). We'll be hiring Tom again no doubt.

Its hard to find someone that will come to do "small" jobs. My problem was that several doors wouldn't stay close. Our back door leading into our garage would open up whenever the garage was opened. (As for the lengthy bid that another reviewer mentioned: yes, it was lengthy, but I liked the thoroughness and in fact used WKB's bid as a yardstick against comparing other bids. I'd gotten estimates of the project via text from other contractors and when I asked "does that include clean-up?" or something else, I'd find that no, they'd forgotten to include it. With WKB's bid, there were no surprises.) Ben was the lead on our deck renovation and also polite, professional and happy to answer any questions. I appreciated that he and Jared met with us right before the work started to figure out what space could be used for storing materials, where to put a dumpster, etc. instead of just assuming. There were a few days when the weather was bad, and Ben got in touch just to let us know that he would be coming the next day. As I said above, there were no surprises and we knew what was going on every step of the way. We're very happy with our deck and would use WKB for another project.
