The National Grid gentleman arrived in less than an hour from notification. His first question: do you have a humidifier? Answer: yes. Turns out the gas flame was being affected by the minerals in the humidifying mist changing the flame's color to orange. I shut off humidifier and shortly thereafter the color of the gas flame had returned to its normal blue color. Thanks, Jason.

They sent Amir who was very kind and professional. He showed up on time. He worked quite quickly. He found the problem, bought the parts, and fixed my issue. He had to come back to grout as the tiles needed to dry. He showed up on time the second time and also worked quickly. Luckily the issue was just in the baseboard and Amir explained how the damage happened and made sure to seal everything well. However, we would not recommend their service, unless for emergency because of the the lack of transparancy with the fees and charges. We were quoted $800 + materials for a job that actually took 4 hours, and they charged us the higher amount rather than adjust our fee to the actual time, which was much less than quoted by the administrative person based on a picture that we sent. It's clear that they are looking to make a quick dollar and not retain customers!.

I said thanks, but when the date came, they never showed up, nor called. When I called them that day, no response. When I called the next day, they answered(late in the day), and the secretary/wife sounded frenetic and angry, and said that she/they would call me back when they had time, and essentially forced a hang up, since there was no where the conversation could go from there, besides here. I don't think I've ever been treated so poorly by a business in my life. I finally realized why they didn't want the work after a few months of talking to other contractors. My job wasn't a huge renovation, kitchen, etc; it was one simple set of stairs, with some detailed molding. This wouldn't have been worth their time, I guess, so they blew me off. Don't waste your time with these people, unless you want to be treated like garbage. Also found out they've been sued numerous times, in Swampscott if not other towns.

Henrique and his fixed the damage, made the room much more weatherproof, and made the inside far far nicer than it was before. Henrique also had great suggestions on how to improve, rather than just repair. My wife and I are extremely happy with how everything turned out.

Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. Would take weeks and, more than once, even months…read moreto get them to come back and do any work (see screenshots of my text interactions with them -- note the dates). They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.
