Marathon Auto And Marine Services - starboard bow bunk. I spent 8 hours adjusting my trailer to my boat after my final fitting. I hired them to fit my boat to my trailer.

Jon runs the place. Helpful and fair. Gave us an honest opinion and it was a good experience. I…read morehighly recommend going here if you are having car issues or need your trailer fixed.

Like many reviews down below, I too can protest to the owner of this place. I went here on a…read morerecommendation and was going to just get parts only but the owner coerced me into having my trailer serviced in person; which was a big mistake from the moment he opened his mouth and started talking to me. Brought in the trailer and simply asked what the approximate price was going to be, and he said he was going to spend the most money on the best parts possible but didn't seem to have a clue as to the final price then and there. I did not really appreciate not being told even a ballpark number. You'd think that after 42+ years Steve would have an idea but all he wanted to talk about was how costly it's going to be, the job would take a week, and what-not. Steve is like one of those people you fear talking to because he cannot keep his line of thought straight, reasonability, jokingly, and business tactic professionalism straight. Like a crazy person not taking their meds. With the rambling getting to me I become forwardly stern and stated several times that I would give him no blank check and needed an estimate as soon as possible before ANY work could start. Steve agreed and said some lady would call me by 8:30am the next morning. I exhaustedly left knowing this wasn't over. Next day I received no morning call and so I called at 9:30am and spoke with the service team (they are good people) and reminded them I needed a quote before work could start. At about 10am no more than 30m later I get a call with the price, and that the job was 95% completed already without asking and no way to turn back. I was astounded! Jaw dropped! The price was high too and not on my crosshairs. I did not sign for the work to start nor did I tell them to start nor did I have any idea what the costs would be. The owner Steve went against our conversation and told the techs to start, and so they finished. Think about it. You call on a service contractor to do a job, say build a deck in your backyard, and the job will not start without getting a quote signed off by you. Imagine coming home and the deck job was all complete before you even knew any detail at all! Omg right? Crazy. The problem stems from the owner. Steve is a Baby boomer who is still holding on but needs to retire and just get out of the way. His ramblings and wrongness and doings shown clearly on his person and acts. Don't know if he's bleached by the son, delusional from a health problem, or is just so used to getting blank checks from whomever doesn't care that he's breaking one off inside everybody. Steve should not be working and should be retired but since he's the owner he called the shots. He told his service team to start work without asking me as he previously discussed and agreed, then failed to do. When asked why this happened he didn't have an answer and said anyone else would have just had it done, or he'll revert all repairs. Only he couldn't do that without the help of his staff who stepped in and made the situation palpable. Buyer beware. High prices. Gouging tactics. Irresponsible business owner. The technicians are good people caught in the crossfire though which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. You are much better off going to Boyz n their Toyz (marine & trailer) or Spindrift (campers) on Cudjoe Key. They'll shoot straight with you 100% every single time.

Too easy!! I cannot believe the beautiful service I received today…read more While driving to Marathon from West Palm Beach yesterday, the steering wheel started to wobble around 40 MPH and the car was pulling to the right. On the recommendation of my cousin who lives in Marathon, the 2012 Honda Odyssey, my kids and I were at Tire Kingdom by 8:10 AM this morning. Island Taxi took us to The Turtle hospital at 8:30. Turtle hospital tour at 9. The Amazing Dorothy from Tire Kingdom called at 9:30 to tell me the tire had separated and the new tire plus TPMS & whatnot would be $151. What a bargain! Turtle Tour ended at 10:30. Car ready at 10:45. Island taxi to TK at 11. Back at the Hampton Inn be 11:15! What could possibly be better than that!?!

10 a.m. appt. for 4 new tires and alignment. Got there early. At 1:15, they still aren't done…read more When I arrived, I was told there was no mechanic so I couldn't get the alignment unless I came back the next day. Girl said she texted me this info but all I had was 2 texts confirming the 10 a.m. appt. Took her out to show her how I wanted the tires done - move rear tire to trunk, put new tire on the tire from the trunk and put it on the car. I thought she wrote that down. She told me she understood. (LIE) Even had the tires labeled with directions. This wasn't done. When I complained she said the workers had left (LIE). Found my good tire from the rear wheel and put it in my car. Still charged me for disposing of 4 tires instead of 3. When I left, I found my brakes were nearly dead. Came back, technician said it was like that when I arrived (LIE) and that brake fluid was dripping on him while he worked. But sent me out to drive 30 miles down the highway in a vehicle he claims he knew had no brakes. Left the car for the mechanic to fix the next day. He said the job was too hard so I had the tow truck take it to MufflerMan and they did a fabulous job. The other woman who worked there gave me a ride to a nearby church and that was very nice of her.
