I had an exhaust leak and they got me in real quick and bill was only 140 that included the install of a chrome tip i had.

I spent $927 (including labor, plus tax) for 2 rotors, 2 calipers, and 2 pads for a Dodge Durango (large SUV). I have no idea how this price would have compared with anywhere else, but it doesn't matter. All the people there were so friendly, competent, respectful, and willing to go the extra mile that I would never go anywhere else in this area. My car was towed in just after closing time, but they stayed overtime to check me in, and had it ready to go the next day. If you read my reviews, you will see that I give out extremely few 5* ratings, but these guys really deserve it. read more

Covid and hurricane Irma have changed businesses here so I thought I'd try Muffler Man. I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and kindness of this team. As a woman, the mansplaining is a frequent downside of any visit to a mechanic's shop. This team was excellent in conveying how things work without any derogatory talking down. Came here for an oil change. The guy told me I needed my brakes changed ASAP because they were almost down to the rotors. He also said that I needed my tires rotated, which I had just done the week prior. He kept insisting that my brakes were horrible and tried getting me to book an appointment. I moved to St. Petersburg and went to a local mechanic a month later to get my brakes changed. He called me after I ubered home and said "who told you you needed new brakes?" I was like "the place I got my oil changed last month." He said no way, they tried to scam you, your brakes are in excellent shape." So i ubered back to the shop, he left my car on the lift and showed me all 4 brake pads & how they measure them. He even took a mirror out to show me the back view inside the tire. They literally were far from needing to be replaced. Definitely DO NOT TRUST this place! They will scam you if you look like you don't know anything about cars. Shame on this business. Not to mention that they were all unprofessional dropping the F bomb in every sentence. The girl at the front desk was smoking her weed pen the entire time. There's a time and place for that.. not at work in front of customers. So yeah, this place only wants your $$. They CANT BE TRUSTED! read more

My rental car showed a low tire pressure warning. I was at the Driftwood next door and decided to see if someone at Muffler Man could help me. Everyone was very nice. Scorpio determined the problematic tire, removed it and checked it thoroughly, including submersion in water. He could not find a problem and filled it to the proper level. brought my truck in for an exhaust leak, was told I need a whole new exhaust . they installed new exhaust after I left it sounded the same as when I brought it there, they attempted to fix my exhaust but made it worse and put plastic weld over holes. it cost me over $800 to have repaired by another shop. I had to bring them to small claims court where are they still owe me my judgment. I am still waiting to hear from management. read more

On vaca for a week, father-in-law's AC clutch stopped working. Magneto went bad so I bought a new clutch set and tested it with the cars connector. Yup, clutch is bad so let's change it. Took it to this joke of a place because it was close and they had the time. Instead of just changing the clutch though the wheel well with a 10mm wrench and a 90 degree C clip pliers these clowns decided to take the compressor off the car. Then they proceeded to use a 3 prong puller to take the belt pulley off the compressor. Nope, just pull the C clip and the pulley slides right off, then you take the 2nd clip off the remove the magneto. Revers order and done. Yes, I could do it but was on vaca catching lobster and figure we would just pay someone to do it. Well, after a very hostile encounter with the joke of an owner and the drunk mechanic who by the way rolled up on his bike, I had to call the sheriff. I proved they busted the compressor and the owner acknowledged it, yet he still refused to pay for a new one. After a bit of a back and forth I was able to take the car away with the alt, comp and remaining parts in a box. Took it back to our rental and finished it off with a new compressor. Stay away at all cost. read more

Honestly pathetic, tried to finesse me out of 1000$ and I took it somewhere else for a new part that cost 128$ and labor for 150$ cannot believe they charged me 125$ for a diagnostic when that's half of what I got it done for. Called them a couple weeks later and they said they do their diagnosis for usually 50$ all because I didn't want to be overcharged for sloppy seconds best work I got overcharged scam scam scam and the owner I believe is doing drugs in the bathroom because he was sweating after a trip to the bathroom and he came out clutching his jaw really tight and was easily agitated for no reason like when his pen wasn't working he was mumbling curse words under his breath and slammed a clipboard on the desk. Used the bathroom and it was disgusting with no soap in it I couldn't use it so I walked to the pizza shop to use theirs. My initial review of this place would've been much better, until 8 days after I stopped at this shop. I have one of the faulty Honda V6 engines that burns excessive oil and tends to burnout my spark plugs on cylinders 2,4 and 6 every six weeks or so. I unfortunately had the cylinder 2 plug go down on a Saturday and this was pretty much the only place open. So, even given the so-so reviews I found here and on Google, I decided to take a chance. BIG MISTAKE. I know my Pilot very well by now, as I've been dealing with this issue for 18 months (yes, I know about the warranty; I missed it by two weeks and Honda told me "too bad") and my spark plug, once replaced, doesn't go down again for 5-6 weeks. This place said they changed it and charged me $80, but EIGHT DAYS LATER it was "burned out" again. This time I happened to be in Miami and took it to a GREAT place up there. They pulled the plug in front of me from cylinder 2 and there is NO POSSIBLE WAY it was changed just 8 days prior (see photo). I was ripped off. They cleaned it off and stuck it back in while telling me they replaced it. Avoid this place! read more

We are from out of town camping nearby. We came here because it was one of two places open on a Saturday. I am glad we went there. They took us in as soon as they could (they were busy). Took about 15-20 minutes to get our car in which is the fastest service I ever had. They were honest, they replaced only what they needed to. No fluff. And the prices was great. Thumbs up. ZERO STARS! I'm not a local but got a flat while coming up from the Keys and turned into this dump to fix it. They over charged for a simple patch and then turns out when I finally got home my tire was still leaking air. Took it to my local tire repair shop and they grinder the inside of the tire so severely there was no way to fix it. They ruined a perfectly well brand new tire. Then the worse part is when I called the owner to settle this he kept giving me the run around about how he wouldn't give me a refund and he would need to see the tire to guarantee that the work was done at his shop. TERRIBLE SHOP!! Would not recommend this place to anyone. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

On 12-27-18 while on vacation had a front caliper hang up. Since they were the only ones open I had no choice. Said had to replace everything front, back ,pads, rotors, and calipers, $1650.00. Got back home 6,000 mile I replaced front brakes, pads and rotors. The ones they used were junk. Priced out parts at NAPA for everything 424.72 they charged $1014.88 for parts. Boy did I get took. Plus over $500 for labor. Stay away from here unless dire emergency. read more

Had them install new front struts on a Mercedes Benz sprinter RV along with rear shocks and sway bar with Sumo foam springs front and rear. Got up to Miami with the RV and hit a bump and the front right strut pulled out due to them forgetting to install a retaining plate washer. Strut is part of the steering system so the RV immediately darted two lanes preceding to launch the RV off a bridge at 60mph and kill me and my family. My recommendation is to stay as far away from this shop as possible. read more

I stopped by last week to find out how much it would cost to put my mufflers on my mustang,,,i was told $100.00 per hour and the job should take about an hour..i brought it in today..it took just over an hour and the only parts were two wire hangers...I was told that the bill was $200.00..one hundred each side..i told them about the conversation last week...then offered to meet him in the middle at $150.00..it fell on deaf ears..i paid the $200.00...I am a local in the hospitality industry..i have used them before and sent them business in the past..i will not use them nor will I recommend them again read more

Was on my way home from Key West December of 2016 when the front wheel bearing went out. We limped into the first garage on Marathon and they told me he couldn't get to my truck for at least 3 or 4 days. I asked if there was another garage that was open, he told me there was the Muffler Man up the street but he wouldn't let him work on his bike. We left and when we got there they not only did they fix my Truck at a Very Reasonable Price but I was on the road within a Hour of stopping there. I'm not a local so I felt out of place from the get go. I had my box truck towed to them and asked them to fix it because I had to be on the road up to New York area in a couple of days. They started the truck but didn't fix the problem. I got charged like eighty bucks for some part and my total was like $120. The young lady at the front desk had another receipt that said $120 as well but then added another $10 fee. I said whats the fee for? Its not on my receipt she didn't really have a good answer so we agreed to $120. which was on the receipt. I watched her then put in $130 on the credit card machine. I told her she was wrong. Long story short I only paid $120 but I felt like this wasn't the first time this has happened. This was awhile ago and the only reason I feel she tried to do that to me is because I'm from out of town. Anyways I will not be going back there. Its very easy for me not to because I live so far away. Might be a great local shop but I'm not a local, To bad for me. read more
