We are on vacation and had our vehicle towed by AAA to this shop after calling to ask the owner what the price would be for a repair. My husband is a handy mechanic type and figured he would splurge since we were on vacation. However, when I went to pick up the vehicle, the bill was $250 more than the owner had originally quoted. He said the "fluids were all low" (extra charges) and when asked about the charge being more than he had quoted even for the originally requested repair, he said, "Well, hey, that's just what the computer says it costs." But we called and asked what the cost would be you told us something different. He replied, "Hey, that's what I thought it would be, but this is what the computer says, so you can do what everyone does and dispute this on your credit card bill, but that's what I'm charging you, and that's what you're gonna pay." This leads me to guess that we are not the first to have such a problem with his quotes.

Also worth noting: If we had seen the place prior to having it towed, we would have not used this mechanic in the first place. While I don't expect anything fancy, the state of disrepair and lack of general maintenance to one's property does say something about a person's attention to detail and pride in their work. There was not trimming done and there was trash and cardboard everywhere. You can barely walk into the office that is a wreck.
From our experience, this is a business that stays in business because of the tourism. I can't imagine a local would ever use the services of this company. I certainly will not be returning. read more
