Went back to store to apologize when I was back home and pay for gas because I noticed the gas purchase didn't show on my account. The owner demanded $575 by check, cash or Venmo and made point he was going to police about it to ensure I pay up I said I only had credit card, so the manager charged me for $575 of ice cream because clearly this was bogus demand and just a cash grab by the owner to exploit the situation in such an extreme way. All the employees watched this $575 ice cream transaction with a smirk. It was disgusting, knowing 3 other people who had similar situation did not even get asked for any money at all by the gas station management. While a very excessive amount of $575 was demanded from me. I believe it is due to me not looking like the employees and owner. I was regular customer for several years since I live 2 min from the gas station. But this demand for $575 cash was such disgusting, transparent exploitation and I am so disappointed in them as business and as people. No way in hell will I ever stop by for Gatorade or gas ever again on principle. I used to stop in 2-3x week. Never again. I am letting others know about this experience because it says so much about the character of the management and owner and was so different from what others experienced in this same exact situation. I was charged for the MD State Inspection, but it failed. Reasons, given, brake pads were too low (but the mechanic here at the shell did say they were close to being unacceptable) PLUS the never fail (always fail and inspection) the windshield wipers, which also had passed the inspection at the other mechanic I went to before purchasing the vehicle. Long story short, this place wanted to charge me $300 for the brake pad replacement + $80 for the wipers. He said the wipers failed because per the MD state inspection, the wipers should be able to go back and forth 5 times without smudging. I had visually inspected the wipers, no cracks or dry rot. I also did this test of his and I was able to get smooth clean results after letting them run for 10 times back and forth. Bottom line, the BP across the street seems to be more honest. I would recommend going there for any mechanical issues. As far as the prices of the gas go, if you have Giant rewards, then of course use them here ;-)

From the outside, the inside convenience store looked closed but was not. I had to go inside for a receipt because the outside kiosk didn't print one out. The gas prices are different by 5 cents if you're paying cash versus credit.

However, when I pulled into the lot, it was neither of them. It appears that this location recently switched providers. That didn't matter much to me, except that I was a bit confused if I was at the right location at first. Either way, I needed to get fuel either way. Pulled right up to a pump, paid at the pump and let the pump do it's thing. While the fuel is being pumped, I do a quick clean out of my car to fill the time it took for the fuel to dispense. Fueling done, I head inside of the store to grab a quick drink to take with me, and grab some cigarettes. The convenience store portion of this place is of your typical size for a convenience store. I don't know how to gauge a Gulf store as I haven't come across many of them. They seem to have a decent selection of national brands that can tide you over until your next stop.
