Came in for some gas at 8AM, so not the crack of dawn. This station primarily does a cash business, as the gas is priced cheaper that way. Came into the store to pay. I had 100$, as my car often requires around 50-60$ to fill up.
No one was at the counter. When the man arrived, I told him I needed 50$. He laughed in my face and began to tell me how stupid I was that I would attempt to pay with a 100$ bill. I said I need 50$ of gas, so this is how I usually pay. He began to berate me over and over again about how he had no change, how it was early and how would I think he would have change yet, didn't even open the register. In the end I found 20$ in my wallet, which didn't even fill me up halfway, and I left extremely upset after being laughed at and yelled at by the attendant.
1) If you are primarily running a cash business -- which is why people visit this station for the most part in particular-- you must have change on hand at opening and at all times throughout the day. I don't care if it's the morning, this is your business operation.
2) It is extremely rude to be yelled at for literally trying to give YOU MONEY. Disgusting. I won't ever be back and will find a new cash station.
I've never had this happen at this station in the many years I've come, and usually it's a very nice man or woman as the attendant. I've never seen this man before, and he seemed enraged he even had to come do his job. read more
