This was quite a discovery, with easy access via tube and bus to home. We got a table within 2 minutes and a friendly waiter even provided us with seating choices. At 8:30pm on a Friday evening, the place was moderately busy. First impressions were - cute, convenient, quiet. We were seated pretty much as soon as we got there. The service is prompt and often, there were a couple of people waiting our table; somewhat unusual. They were quite friendly, although not super efficient. The "Chuletas de cordero a la plancha" comes as two lamb cutlets, cooked with rosemary, alioli herbs and mushrooms was superbly succulent and mention worthy. The roasted Piquillo peppers stuffed with fresh crab, baby squid sautéed with tomato, white wine, garlic and spring onions and the batter fried squid (although very standard) were good candidates in the seafood portfolio. Overall, there is nothing unusually spectacular about the food. Standard quality, standard fare, premium location - but comes at a reasonable price. To conclude, I can see myself going there a few times, every year.

Excellent intimate little Spanish restaurant in the heart of central London off of Blackfriar Road. The cozy little space is hidden away at the end of a side street and the staff warmly welcomes you as soon as you walk in. The patatas bravas were a bit salty with way too much sauce, the tortilla española tasted authentic, and the chicken croquets were quite yummy. I was impressed by the sangria jug and the authenticity of the drink. As usual, the prices were probably normal for London, but they were expensive for me (an American not used to the high prices of London).

Braised pork with purée. Decent portion size. Meat was moist.

Our first time at a tapas restaurant. We picked here because of its yelp rating. We didn't have a reservation but a 6 the place was pretty empty. Tables were quite small for 3 of us each getting 2 tapas. It became quite busy but food was delivered rapidly. Unimpressed with our bruschetta, but the rabbit that came after was really good. Interesting new experience. Spent about 70 pounds for 3 of us, one appetizer, one dessert, and no drinks.

Great street great Tapas...

Awesome staff. Olive oil, olives and sardins are excellent. Rest average. Patatas Bravas and bread really disappointing.

Wonderful tapas with genuine and authentic service. Our meal was a little more costly than expected at around £40 / person with wine.

Friendly staff and a visually interesting location. It is not cheap, but most of the tapas we had were lovely.

The restaurant was a little small but it was cozy and the atmosphere was perfect for a girls or date night. My favorite was the tuna tartar tostada and hummus and pumpkin tostada. This was probably my favorite restaurant while visiting. My absolute favorite tapa was the tuna tartar tostadas. We also got the lamb, albondigas, and sliders. We didn't leave a crumb! My sister and her husband also ordered the hummus tostadas, roasted cauliflower, and grilled carrots. She's not the biggest tapas fan so I was so glad she enjoyed the food as well. We got a pitcher of red sangria to add to the experience and ended dinner with the Pan de Elote, which was quite the crowd pleaser. The restaurant is definitely in the "it" part of the city, lots of foot traffic and so many things going on around the place. The setup is real cool too. We sat at the bar, which is right in front of the kitchen so you get to watch as the cooks prepare the dishes. The service was real fast too. It is a bit on the pricey side, but if you don't mind splurging a bit, it's definitely worth trying!

I've been trying to talk myself out of a 3-star review because the food is definitely worth more…read more But there were a couple of small things, that together, made this less than exceptional. I was alone so booked a hightop at the bar so I didn't take a table. It was a pre-theater reservation, but had plenty of time so there was no rush. Ordered a cocktail, then a second and a glass of wine with dinner, but they brought the cocktail and wine at the same time. btw, the glass of wine that was supposed to be 175ml was definitely NOT close to that amount. I ordered three plates (it's tapas-style). All the food was amazing, but the pacing was just off. They brought two of the plates right away but the third didn't come until I had finished the first two. But the thing that really left a bad taste in my mouth was getting the check and the waiter trying to bully me into having another drink. I politely said no but he wouldn't give up, saying "c'mon the night is young" and "c'mon you know you want another" etc. Dude, I said no multiple times and I just spent $150 (£110) on a solo dinner, do you really think it's a good idea to try to push me into ordering another drink? The other little complaints wouldn't have even registered with me, and this could easily be 4, and maybe 5 stars. But at these prices, I don't expect to be bullied/shamed when trying to pay my check and makes me think the other problems with pacing and size of the pour might be normal here too.

Spanish & Italian tapas & wine are served in a chic setting with warm ambience. Tiger prawns came 6 to the order, grilled in a cast iron pan with a perfect garlic butter sauce for dipping. Even the location is a bit out of the way, so if you're not already in the area, there's no reason to seek it out. The menu does boast a varied selection of meat, veggie, and fish-centered tapas, but not all of them are always available; even the drinks I was curious about were "out of stock," so I ended up having to go with their cheap wine, which made me wish I'd stuck with water. The food itself - while not bad - left something to be desired. Temperature and flavor-wise, it was all just "meh." The menu itself also lacks originality, so the fact that they were missing a portion of it just adds insult to injury. Perhaps it was because we were there on a Sunday evening looking for a quick dinner, but the service also felt forced and uninterested. And, for some odd reason, my friend and I felt hungrier when we left than when we went in. All-in-all, I found nothing here that made me want to come back.
