Hotel room: got a 1 king bedroom and it had all we needed, including a microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast: was included and it wasn't bad. Scrambled eggs; one with veggies, one with ham, sausage patties, tater tots, pancakes, yogurts, cereals, 3 types of bread... coffee was pretty good too with flavored creamer. We've stayed at Maple Tree Inn for over 6 years and always loved it, but this visit was disappointing. The new parking fee is frustrating--especially since the lot is uncovered, unsupervised, and still "park at your own risk," while other nearby hotels offer free parking. The rooms also seem to be going downhill. Our shower didn't drain well, water pressure was poor, and there was a loud bathroom fan that stayed on past the time we were told it would shut off. Sadly, this experience is making us consider staying elsewhere after many years of loyalty. read more

Came for one night with my wife. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Room had a Keurig, refrigerator, and 32" tv. Breakfast was pretty good (powdered eggs with ham, potatoes, sausage, yogurts, muffins, and a pancake machine.) Only problem was an annoying beeping alarm that started at 6 am and continued for hours. Walls/doors are not well soundproofed. read more

I rate this 10/10! The breakfast was delicious, I love that they have a lot of options to choose from. I had the pancakes (you can pour the batter into the machine and it'll cook it for you) also had the scrambled eggs and tater tots. The scrambled eggs were fluffy. Gloria and Grace were very helpful in recommending places to go around the area, very friendly and have great customer service! The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. They also have a vending machine upstairs for your late night snack runs. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area! read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share our experience. We booked a night at Maple Tree Inn based on the advertised amenities and photos, but it did not meet expectations at all. First and most concerning -- we found roaches in the room, which was incredibly unsettling. It made us question the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the property. On top of that, the refreshments that were promised in the listing were nowhere to be found. When we asked about them, staff just brushed it off. We tried to request a refund due to the poor conditions, but were told we couldn't get one -- even though we only stayed one night and raised our concerns immediately. We're not asking for a full refund or anything excessive -- the only compensation we're requesting is a complimentary night to make up for the trouble. We hope management does the right thing and reaches out to resolve this because we book with hotels.com but since we didn't go to the front desk first we couldn't get a refund. We had to check in at the Maple Tree Inn unexpectedly and at the last minute due to serious sanitation and safety issues at the hotel down the street where we had originally booked a room. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was courteous, professional, and welcoming, which was such a relief after the terrible experience we had elsewhere. After a long day of travel and dealing with poor service at the first hotel, we were exhausted, stressed, and arriving well after dark. Thankfully, the Maple Tree Inn had a room available, and check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was clean and fresh, exactly what we needed. One of the most pleasant surprises was the wall A/C and heating unit--it was the quietest I've ever used. Normally, I try to book hotels with central air because those wall units can be disruptive, but this one was exceptional. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the room décor seemed a bit dated, but after our previous experience, that was the least of our concerns. All we wanted was a sanitary, comfortable space to get a good night's rest and staff who were professional and well-trained. The Maple Tree Inn delivered on all counts. We had a wonderful stay. We unfortunately had to leave town due to the moss landing fires . They had one room left. Everyone was so friendly flu. We have a service dog which was not an issue at all. They have a wonderful little breakfast which was so nice being as we were planning a trip so everything was so last minute. Though we'd only been to Sunnyvale once if given the opportunity we would definitely pick this hotel again. They also had a nice pool hot tub and gym. I stayed at Maple Tree Inn earlier this month for a 3 night staycation. I give 5 stars to this 3 star hotel! This hotel has a fitness center, on site laundry room, heated pool, hot tub, complimentary tea and coffee and fruit water in the lobby, plus free breakfast. Breakfast consisted of apples, oranges, three kinds of cereals, bagels, bread, two kinds scrambled eggs (one with meat and one with veggies), daily meat (bacon the first day and sausage another day), oatmeal packets, yogurt, pancake machine, miso soup, and rice! I thought the bed was comfy. Usually, hotel pillows are bad but the pillows weren't as flat as other hotels. read more

Awkward and weird, I've never had that happen in all my hotel years. Staff distracted and acted incredulous although I see a review below where it happened to another guest, recently. Something wrong with their system and/or training required. This is a bad precedent although staff were helpful correcting the problems. Room: 2nd floor King Room front of building. AVOID! Employees park in front of building leave at 11:30pm and blast the subwoofer with Latin music. So rude and unprofessional. Woke me from a dead sleep. Employees should be parking in rear. Again, are staff trained? You shouldn't have to tell an employee not to sit in front of the hotel where they work and blast music but this employee needs a lesson in hospitality. Room Cleanliness: 8/10. Bed was comfortable for me as I like a softer mattress. Pillows big and fluffy, worked for me. Towels a bit better than standard. Bathroom clean and no hair. Coffee maker had no directions and I added water not knowing there was water in it and it overflowed. Beware. You will hear your neighbors, either by doors slamming (old heavy doors that beam light through the sides, even peepholes) or heavy footsteps above you. Robe in closet is nice touch. Hair dryer, iron board and iron provided. Absolutely no information in room about hotel, receptions, laundry service, pool hours, restaurants nearby, how to for coffee pot, check out etc. In-N-Out is across the street. Finally, I don't mind deposits but I was not told there was a 100$ deposit so I thought I was charged for 2 rooms which created a delay for me checking out. Hall carpets and hall wallpaper very outdated as is the air/heat units. This is a decent hotel that could be better if management paid attention to some details and TRAINED their staff. I'd go back because I still think you get value for your money. read more

Pretty good hotel located on the El Camino in Sunnyvale. Rates similar to the nearby hotels in the area. Room was quiet and clean. Parking is free and daily breakfast. They advertise an evening hors doeuvres but that doesn't exist as advertised and they should remove that from their website and on their doors. But would consider returning there in the future. I am gibing the hotel a 2 stars because the staff was wonderful and I received a full refund of $671 due to the many issues including cockroaches running all around thr pool area. the key fob was not working in our 1st room after 8 seperate attempts and 4 trips from the staff to my door. 2nd rolm had the same issue. The breakfast was NOT as pictured but had cuties, unripe bananas, 2 flavors of yogurt and premade omelettes.. we skipped it all 3 days. BUT the happy hour appetizers is amazing... it was enough to feed most!! The staff was more than apologetic for the several issues that we had and they were really trying to make it right . The girls at the front desk were wonderful. They were aware of a cockroach issue and stated they had previously sprayed for them. But it was just his cockroaches like 3 inches long. this was August 6th-9th 2024 again they gave me a full refund for my 3 night stay in a double queen room w/o issue!! yay for the wonderful staff but boo for the crappy breakfast, cockroaches and bad key fobs.. we still had an amazing vacation minus the hotel issues. It could've been a lot worse. Honestly, I did not even ask for a full refund, I did ask for some type of accommodation or refund. The manager called me on my phone and told me they were comping our whole stay.... also FYI, if you were going specifically for that heated swimming pool, (like we were w 2 -12 year old boys) please note that the pool was cold and it is only 4 feet deep at the deepest part. They provide their customers with masks, sanitizer when you check in. That's really sweet! 3. The room is pretty spacious. 4. Microwave and fridge in the room. 5. Nice size swimming pool and jacuzzi. Especially during covid, you make an appointment for you and people in the same household to use the whole area for 1 hour. Dislikes: 1. My bathroom door has a big gap. (Can't close completely) Therefore people in the room can clear hear the bathroom. Plus, it's just a slide door and can't be locked. 2. My bathroom was clean but the exhaust fan not working. 3. Inside my room with door closed I can still hear very clear other people open and close their doors. 4. I personally think they need more lights in the room. 5. Had a mini staycation for the weekend and I would defiantly recommend this Inn if you need a place to stay near San Jose. They serve a complimentary breakfast like no other. I was here for 2 nights and all 3 mornings I ate the breakfast and it was better than any complimentary breakfast I've had at an Inn. Usual Inns complimentary breakfast is the generic cereal, fruits, and some pastries. At Maple Tree Inn they had all of that and more! They had miso soup, rice, kimchi, instant noodles, bread, bagels, cream cheese, jams, tea, coffee, hot cocoa packets, orange juice, apple juice, milk, yogurt, fruit cups, oatmeal, and an automatic pancake machine at a wave of a hand. They always had 2 types of eggs, vegetable or meat option and sometimes its scramble and sometimes its an omelet. They also had a rotating meat selection, like one morning it was bacon, the next it would be breakfast links or patties. Overall, I had a wonderful stay. Place was clean. Staff was helpful and efficient. Complimentary breakfast was amazing. Would definitely recommend to others and come back for another visit. read more

For the price we paid, the Maple Tree Inn is a great value and that's why they get 5 stars (we paid under $130/night). The rooms need a remodel (the carpeting and decor is outdated) but I won't take off any stars since we got a good deal. It has everything we needed to make it a comfortable stay for a family with children: free breakfast, a pool, a gym, a washer and dryer, and a free EV charging station! The beds were good quality and comfortable. The windows open, so you can get fresh air in the room. The breakfast isn't anything special, but it's still nice that they offer it. They have a peloton bike in the gym which is awesome! The washer is $1.50 and the dryer is $1.50. The detergent is an extra charge. Everyone working there was friendly. I ordered an Amazon package and they saved it for me in their office. read more

Room was next to one with a non stop yapping dog. Paper thin walls made it sound like it was in our room! The woman at the desk wouldn't let us move to a new room! She said none were available. I asked her twice - wife asked her once. Same answer. We left and moved to the nearby Ramada. She said she wouldn't charge us since we'd only just got there. As we pulled up to the Ramada she called and said we'd be charged for one night. She said we could have moved to a different room!!! She lied and said we just misunderstood her answer there were no rooms available! (I pretty sure she called her manager, who told her to charge us regardless, and had to come up with something). We were exhausted from traveling and would have preferred not to have to find somewhere else last minute! Several phone battles ensued and she finally gave in. A stressful start to our vacation. We were traveling from Southern, Ca when we realized how tired we were from driving. Our kids were hungry and traffic was really bad. As we looked up somewhere to stay, we saw that The Maple Tree Inn was close by, had good ratings, and is pet friendly. So we booked it through our third party app and headed straight over. On a very busy street, Maple Tree Inn was easy to find and there was plenty of shopping close by. Whether you wanted a grocery store, food, or casual shopping, it was all within walking distance. We first arrived to check in. The staff was warm and welcoming. We did the check- in routine- it is $20 extra for the pet fee for our girl. When we got the room online, we thought we picked queen beds. When we got to the room, we saw the beds were only fulls. I called downstairs and they were more than happy to upgrade our room to bigger beds. Yes, we paid the price difference and I absolutely didn't mind. The staff was so nice & friendly about it. It was one of those moments where I waited to hear or see irritated staff, but they were wonderful the entire time. The rooms were definitely beautiful. Comfortable beds with crisp white linens with plenty more room. There was a nice TV, black out room shades and as much as we all like to sleep, check out time was at noon. A few things we didn't like was that the bathroom door had a sliding door. It was pretty and unique, but there was zero privacy to go to the bathroom. There was also no top lock on the front door; the one that gives you an extra sense of security. There was also not a designated place for our puppy to go to the bathroom. Just one patch of grass between parking spaces. Barely enough room for someone and their pup to stand. Thankfully, we had our own doggy bags as well. Some of our kids went down to the pool with dad and I took our daughter to the store to grab a bunch of snacks since we had already eaten dinner. As we slept comfortably, we still didn't want to get out of bed the next morning. We called down stairs and they allowed us another hour to keep packing up. We enjoyed out stay here. I was worried about choosing a hotel that was not a chain in which I am familiar. I couldn't be more pleased!! At check in- I asked for a quiet room and that's what I got. The gentleman checking me in said I can park outside my room and see my car if I wanted to. Which I did -considering I had some Christmas presents in it. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The entry way was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. It's located in the hub of Silicon Valley (compleat with a computer museum nearby) the guests at breakfast were one of the most international combinations I've seen and heard. They even offered miso soup for breakfast. The staff were friendly and courteous. If I come this way again, I will definitely be staying here and highly recommend it. read more

I needed an inexpensive 1 night stay without sacrificing cleanliness and comfort. This was a perfect stay. Located across the street from Tesla. Check in was easy although the receptionist was confusing explaining where our room was. The bathroom has a sliding door that doesn't allow for the most privacy. Breakfast- the sausage was greasy and the pancakes were ok with the syrup, they were made fresh yet were cold when I went to eat them. I paid $77 for a Tuesday. A guy (I'm thinking the manager) rudely told us to put on a mask. He said it very aggressively. We had on our masks to check in and then drove around back, although our room was located in the same building (confusing receptionist). Anyways we took off our masks outside and while unloading the car forgot to put them back on. The hallway was empty and we were just trying to find our room. His tone was awful. read more
