One of two lights burnt out while I was there. Had to ask twice to get them replaced.
    Stu C.

I stayed here for 5 days, April 1 to April 6. When I arrived the walk leading to the office had a string barrier set up as it had just been painted. There was no sign indicating where to go to find the manager. I walked around the side and yelled, "Hello" and a woman answered from inside and I told her who I was and that I was checking in. She sent her husband out. He gave me the key to room 102 and said, "You can pay later or tomorrow." My room was clean, and there was a king sized bed, dresser, desk, two night stands, 2 wall lamps, and 2 older upholstered chairs. The whole room looked dated except for the flat screen tv mounted on the wall. There was a mini microwave, mini refrigerator and 4 cup coffee maker, and 2 bottles of water, and some small containers of shampoo in the bathroom. The motel has fairly good sound insulation. One night a car in the shopping center across the street was playing really loud music. When I went into my room I barely heard it. Now for the things that caused me to give this place just one star and not ever return: 1) When I arrived one of the lights near the bed was burnt out. I reported it to the female of the managing couple and she told me, "I will have my husband change it for you - he'll be there in 10 minutes." He never came. The next morning I took the bulb with me back to the office and gave it to her. She said she'd have the maid replace it. The maid did in the afternoon when she cleaned the room. 2) A day later a bulb in the bathroom burnt out and I went to office. Same thing. The lady told me she's have her husband come within 10 minutes. He never did. This time I put the burnt out bulb on the bathroom sink with a note for the maid. She replaced it later that day. 3) Based on my experiences with the light bulbs after seeing there were no spare rolls of toilet paper, I wisely went to the office and requested another roll before I ran out. The maid brought it the next day. 4) I couldn't ever call the office because as some other reviewer pointed out, the phones are dead in the room. When I asked the manager about it, he made up some far-fetched story about how because so many people use cell phones nowadays, the phone company no longer repairs their equipment. Are you kidding me? He continued the lie by telling me he tried to hire someone to fix it and the two contractors he called never showed up. I was in town visiting my sister and she said whenever she's had a problem with her phone the phone company immediately sends someone out to fix it. I don't like being lied to. 5) Although he put up a string barrier when the manager painted the walk leading to the office, he failed to put up any kind of barrier or even a "wet paint" sign when he painted the narrow walk by the rooms. Because the parking lot is so narrow I tried to park as close to the building as I could and didn't realize I drove my car onto part of the freshly painted walk. The wife knocked on door and informed me and I apologized and suggested next time they either put up a barrier or some signs. That's what they did when he painted another section further down. To me, that's a no brainer. You have people coming and going, you're lot is very narrow, so it only makes sense to put up signs or barriers, not wait until someone drives over it to inform them it was just painted. 6) Because they are so cheap they didn't have a bath mat or even no slip strips on the tub in the bathroom. On my 3rd night I was drying myself off and slipped, fell, and hit my head on the wall of the tub. Later I informed the husband and he acted all surprised that my shower lacked a mat or strips. Had that been me and a guest told me they just slipped and hit their head in the shower, I would have run right over to Walgreen's across the street and spent $8 for a bath mat. One day someone will really hurt themselves and he'll be sued. I was lucky, I just had a small bump on the back of my head. 7) The shower curtain was missing 3 rings. That's another $5 to $8 item that would help make the room look less of a low rent dump. 8) Some of the towels had holes in them. 9) The wooden shutters on the windows let in light and there was a bright light that shined in my room and straight in my eyes every night. I went to Walgreen's and bought a sleep mask. 10) The parking lot was so narrow that you couldn't turn your car around and had to be very careful backing out or you'd hit one of the cars parked on each side. 11) Earlier in my stay the Wi-Fi was very fast. It got sluggish towards the end of the week, probably when more people were using it. For these reasons I cannot recommend the Wittle Motel even at it's relatively cheap price, and by cheap I mean $100 a night.

From the check in lobby to the bed side table with a handheld massager. You'll be able to go in and out of the garage with the use of your hotel key. When we were checking out we made sure to take the car out first. We had a 4th floor view and it just over looked some corporate buildings, but the room itself was just gorgeous. Full length mirrors for those fit checks and large enough to fit both you and your partner. Closet space to store jackets and also has robes and slippers (Slippers are free so feel free to take, but leave the robe) Bathroom was so elegant, huge mirror accompanied by another full length mirror, toilet that was a square and not an oval, and a walk in shower that had a rain fall shower head so it gave the experience of the jungle. What was insane was the bed, I planted by butt the second we go in and it was SO SOFT I melted into it. It was like a gentle hug on my booty. A huge ~55-65" tv that welcomed us and has all your streaming providers. A nespresso (which I didn't get to use, but cool that they had it) Then yeah that massager to get the knots out of your neck or circulate the blood in your thighs or whatever it may be. Regardless, it was a wonderful time and really sets the standard for the Bay Area, or Sunnyvale area.

Breakfast is average, but still a nice perk as there is one less meal to worry about. Usually it consists of eggs, sausage, carbs (pancake maker, oatmeal, bagels, muffins). There's also a variety of juices and milk as well. The location is central to a decent amount of food (Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese), and also near Sunnyvale's auto row. We felt super safe as we saw many locals walking on the street throughout the day so we also took a walk around the neighborhood, too. Overall, I would stay again.

It started with a minor and completely unnecessary confrontation with the front desk. I was told not to touch the fridge when staff wasn't present, which already felt overly controlling. To my absolute disbelief, the police were waiting for me when I returned and I was arrested for trespassing. Yes, arrested. Over a situation that should have never escalated anywhere near that level. While things were eventually resolved, the entire incident left me shaken. It genuinely felt like the hotel was trying to set me up or escalate the situation intentionally rather than handle it professionally or reasonably. This was beyond poor service it was a disturbing and unacceptable experience. I would strongly warn others to think twice before staying here.

The rooms are clean, there is no mold or mildew smell. The bathrooms are clean and stocked with the basics (towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, tissues, toilet paper). The water gets hot and has decent pressure for a hotel. The front desk employees have always been friendly. They have an adequate amount of snacks and drinks for purchase if you chose to do so. They also have a restaurant and bar onsite that offers happy hour from 5 to 7PM. Housekeeping never enters your room if you have your do not disturb sign on the door. The location is close to the freeway, right down the street from a Whole foods market, Target, Starbucks, and one of the best Taquerias in the area. During the day there is some noise due to some ongoing construction outside (not at the hotel, but in the neighborhood), but that is no fault of the hotel itself. It is reasonably priced for the area, and a whole lot nicer than most hotels in the area.
