No breakfast, room is kind of small and gloomy, no bathrobe, small closet. Hot tub is tiny too.

    Cute Lobby

I have nothing bad to say about this place. We stayed here 1 night for a concert. It's all updated and I wish I took a pic of the amazing beds. My sister and I slept so great, it's like you sink into a cloud. Fridge and microwave in the room with a mini coffee machine. Staff at check in were great and told us ahead that traffic gets bad for the shows. I will definitely stay here again. Great prices as well

Hotel Avante has a great name, but it is not a chic, botique-style hotel, and while the rooms are OK, the front lobby was being rebuilt during my stay. So the place was a little bit dirty, particularly the elevator floor. I only stayed two nights, and it was rainy and cold during my visit, so I can't comment on the swimming pool, etc. The breakfast was a bit better than the cheapest places around, but definitely not great. And the price was not really good given the remodeling. I would stay here again, I suppose, but there are lots of places in this area, so I would probably check out other places before booking again.

Great value! We booked a one-night stay in the air on the way to San Jose. We knew this location was available and offered free parking and breakfast. We had never stayed here before. The staff was very friendly, very accommodating. It hotel had a boutique feel. I think it has recently been added to the Hyatt brand (don't quote me). Our room was clean and spacious. It overlooked a small pool area - which had a couple tables and a couple loungers. The best part of the stay - the bed. I've never had a bad nights sleep at a Hyatt and this is no exception. Nice firm mattress, good pillow options, comfy bedding. I'd stay here again!!

Got a very good rate so we decided to stay here again this past weekend for two nights. Glad to see the upgrades done in the lobby and especially the room. Our room 420 had nice natural light and even in the night time, it was fairly well lit in the room and bathroom. Bed was really comfy. Gym is under construction and will be moved from 4th fl to 1st fl. For the time being, can use the gym at the Aloft Hotel next door. Just check in with their front desk, sign the waiver and they'll lead the way. Breakfast was very simple if you are not picky. Room AC/ heat can be quite loud if you are a light sleeper. And the floor shakes so we had to tiptoe. The walls are pretty thin too so just be a good neighbor and be gentle shutting the door and keeping the tv in low vol. Friendly staff. Will stay here again if the low rate becomes available again.

Would you expect this from a Hyatt property?

This place is a dump!!! We stayed here only one night. We were going to stay for two, but it was so bad, we left early. It's very pretty when you walk into the lobby, but it all goes downhill from there. To begin with, we asked for an ADA room on an upper floor. As soon as we got into the elevator, it started to violently shake, like an earthquake. It was so bad, we didn't even go into the original room because I was not comfortable with using that elevator one more time. We were given a tiny ADA ground floor room instead. The room seemed fine until we started to settle in. The bathroom was advertised as an ADA room with a roll-in shower. No, it was an old tiny tub with a bunch of ADA bars on the walls. The shower head was so loose that it made it hard to use. The faucet was not properly attached to the wall. I thought is was going to come off in my hand. The tub was so narrow that I almost fell while showering. Again, this was supposed to be an ADA accessible bathroom. The bath towels were sized for children, they didn't even cover my body. The advertised "special" soaps and washes were so highly fragranced that they were unusable. One light switch controlled the fan and a bright overhead light. There was no way to have one or the other. There was another switch that controlled another light in the ceiling. It was apparently on a timer, it just looked like a regular switch. So, while using the toilet, I ended up sitting in the dark. The whole room was dingy, dirty, and looked like a throwback from the 70s. The desk chair looked like it had cigarette burns in the seat, on further inspection it was just wear and tear. The alarm clock was so old that it had an iPod dock on it. Who uses those anymore??? The cabinet door where the refrigerator had a broken hinge and was falling off. The AC only worked on and off, it was basically useless. The pool area was just as dingy and old. The bottoms of the pool and jacuzzi had patches of cement missing. I t was so gross, I didn't want to get in. On a positive note, the staff here was lovely. Steven, at the front desk, took very good care of us, trying to find a room that would fit our needs. The early morning person, I didn't get his name, was also very helpful. Honestly, this place looked like an old timeshare property that they tried to update into a cute little Boho Boutique. But, they must have hired the cheapest and most inexperienced contractors, or perhaps a family member, to do the job. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. STAY AWAY!!!

Located in Mountain View near Highway 85 and 101, Hotel Avante is a magnificent hotel that caters to Silicon Valley business and pleasure seekers. First and foremost, we chose this hotel for the clean and inviting pool and hot tub. After a long drive, a nice hot tub at the end of the day really marks an adventure. The rooms are modern. The beds were large and comfortable. I also loved the fact that there was a tub/shower combo, which is going away in many hotels. There is also a free breakfast, a small gym and plenty of free parking on the hotel grounds. This hotel is definitely memorable and worth coming back to again!

Really nice hotel. Nice music playing. The worker was kind and informative. Fitness center, continental breakfast, good wifi! Safe, clean and practiced. The room is small, but you still have room. Next day! Bed is comfortable. Cozy. The fitness room opens at 6. Got in there at that time. Small, little fitness room, but works and they still have a Shazam. Got on him and had a good workout with music blasting! Continental breakfast up next. They have a large variety of options. There was no coffee and no oatmeal left around 7:40am. Had to find a worker to replace and it took a while to get. They didn't have any meat like ham or sausage, etc. Luckily, the breakfast was really good! Watermelon, hard bouled egg, oatmeal with brown sugar and a banana half. Good coffee too! Mother had the same except added more toppings to her oatmeal and had a bagel with cream cheese too. She thought it was good also. We ate in the dining area where the breakfast was. Small, but nice. Open to all customers. Shortly later , got everything together and checked out. The worker was kind. Good hotel and good service! Recommended!

This place gets pretty packed on the weekends. I will write a review on this place as it deserves one but back to the hotel. When we arrived our room came with a complimentary drink! We grabbed our drinks and headed up to our room. To our surprise a welcome board awaited us with chocolates, figs, nuts, and a bottle of water. It was so cute as well as perfect timing because I needed a little snack before heading to our event. Let's face it this girl always wants a snack and I love fresh figs. Our room was an adequate size and the bed was super comfy. They took every small detail into consideration. They even had separate water for you to fill the steamer. You know how sometimes the water can cause white, salt like residue? Well not here. There was a small squeeze bottle for you to fill the steamer. Come on; who thinks of that? I wished we had more time in our room but it was a shower, a quick change then off we went. The parking is across from the hotel. You do have to pay for it but it's convenient so there's that. I definitely want to come back as it is a great place to hang out , especially with food next door!

Staff here are friendly and nice. Restrooms are clean and modern! Last night I came for the jazz night in their lounge. It was Terrigal and Tamara that were performing, and they sounded lovely! I truly enjoyed the music for the night. My gal friend and I first sat at a sofa nearby the stage, and we kept smelling farts. Someone nearby kept letting it rip. Not okay. Eventually halfway through the jazz night, we relocated to a couch towards the back where there was less people. But then the people who was sitting close to us followed and sat on the couch next to us too. Lol We both enjoyed a glass of wine, and it was good. I definitely recommend coming here for their jazz night. It seems to be happening every other Friday. Since one of my girl friends couldn't make it last night, we'll be coming again for the next jazz night on March 27th. :) I definitely recommend parking on San Antonio to save the $10 valet parking fee!

But the acoustics of the room are terrible, and the sound system provided by the band was sub-par. This is yet another case where the construction skimped on acoustic treatment. Don't you hate it when other reviewers don't tell you how much they paid? I mean, if you break it down with the free parking (at least $10), the free breakfast (at least $25 for family of 4), the EV charging (at least $15), this place really is quite the bargain. If you come here on Wednesday night there is a manager's reception. Unfortunately, we left Tuesday so no go there. Speaking of parking, it's gated. There is a sense of safety associated with the gated and pass you need on your car when you check in. Yes, there are outdoor parking spots but we had a room next to the service elevator which took us straight to the basement. It was perfect that we didn't have to lug too far. And as for elevators, there are 2 on every floor. One closer to check in and the other the service elevator. The weight room oddly enough is on the 3rd floor. I think my only complaint here was there was no remote for the TV. Other than that, they had free weights, kettlebells, treadmills, exercycles, and one Paleton. The swimming pool unfortunately was out of commission, not that anyone wanted to swim in the cold. Free internet connection was about 10Mb down, just enough for casual use. 4 Tessie chargers and 2 J1772 chargers underground. Free breakfast details. I believe it's 6am to 10pm. There really isn't a lot table for four. I only saw one table like that but there are just enough tables for everyone. As for the food, I wanted to applaud that it was different on both days we were here for the main. They had chorizo and sausage one day and pulled chicken and bacon the next. I also wanted to chime in that the fresh blueberries and blackberries are such a nice tough. Usual oatmeal, waffles, cereal, baked goods (the croissants here are delicious) The negatives: I did wish the coffee in the lobby was hot when we first check in. But that was not a deal breaker. My only gripe here was maybe the bathroom. Water pressure was below average and the shower base looked like they ran out of money remodeling. We utilized their media room with some of our friends whom we've haven't seen in years. We ate there and had a comfortable time as if this was our dining room. If you needed the maids to redo the room, you'll have to contact housekeeping. We were there for 2 nights, definitely did not need help but did wish for more cookies and chocolate :) Oh, very important. There's only 1 entrance here off El Camino and make sure you have your key card at all times because the you'll need it for entry. Big thank you to Holly for getting the exact room we wanted, #416. All the rooms have been updated.

For that much money you would expect a great experience but the hotel decided to cut corners and save money by cleaning the carpets in the guest rooms while people were staying in them. There was a sign in my room saying they were doing all the rooms on a floor the same day. I didn't want people cleaning the carpets while I was staying in the room so I left the do not disturb tag on my door but when I got back to the room on the 2nd day of my stay after working all day they had ignored it. I found the carpets were soaking wet and the room smelled of cleaning chemicals. I initially left my shoes on but the slimy liquid mixture of cleaner and hotel carpet gunk made my shoes slide like I was on ice when stepping off the carpet onto the tiled parts of the room. So then I took the shoes off and didn't slide on the tile but my socks soaked through quickly and became super uncomfortable so I ended up just going barefoot and having to fall asleep with the feeling of gross wet sticky feet. The next morning everything was dry and the carpet seemed normal so the hotel only would have needed a single day without a guest in the room to clean the carpet without impacting the experience of anyone staying there. The tiled parts of the room had also dried into a gross sticky film that was like walking around a terrible dive bar. I got in touch with Hilton after my stay and they weren't interested in the details of what happened. I offered to share pictures showing my experience but they declined them. I asked for a refund for the 2nd night but after putting me on hold for a while they only offered Hilton points. When I declined that they put me back on a hold for a while and then offered a voucher that was good for 1 night only at Homewood Suites. When I declined that they finally offered a partial refund but made it as painful as possible and wouldn't just put it back on my card but instead got my address and claim that they will send me a check that I will have to deal with.
