I would give 6 stars at the service department for the professional way they operate. After bringing my CX 5 in for a problem with my transmission I was waiting for my car. They saw that it wouldn't be complete that day they sent me home in a rental no hops to fly through. They needed the car for two days I spoke with the folks every day and was kept fully apprised of what was going on . The car was returned in brand new condition all covered under their great warranty and an oil change bill was 0.00 a company that's as good as their word with great service after the sale! read more

Pat at Maple Shade Mazda service is awesome- he was so helpful, patient and understanding. I had accidentally left my windows open and it had rained- and I wasn't sure if there was damage to any of the sensors. He explained everything to me and went out to my car to make sure the sensors were working properly. He ultimately recommended I take the car to a detailer because they have better equipment to clean and would less expensive- I appreciate his honesty and patience! I came in to check out the Mazda 3. The salesperson seemed nice at first and took me out on the test drive. Firstly, the car he took me in didn't have the features that I wanted. Not really that big of a deal. I asked him several questions and he knew most but didn't know everything. When we returned he asked me what I was looking to pay and I wanted a lease for 36 months. He came back with a high-ball number and when I tried to negotiate he wanted nothing to do with it. Checking their calculations, I needed the money factor so I asked. He had no idea what it was so he went asking and came back with "3/4 to a percent". WTF does that even mean? He also offered me the INSULTING price of a grand total of $100 for my 2000 Sonata in pretty good shape with 90k miles on it. When I told him that Ford offered me $1000 (which they did), he said "Well GOD BLESS Ford for doing that" and he said "Well OUR cars are better than Ford!". Okay buddy, they all say that. I bought a used car there when I was told the engine on my old car was dying. They sold me a complete piece of crap. I do not make a lot of money. The purchase cost me $10,000. Air wouldn't stay in the tires, oil leak, steering mechanism kept clicking, check engine light came on for various reasons. One mechanic showed me the car on the lift.The bottom was nothing but rust. I had that car for 17 months before I gave up and leased a ford. I am still paying on it. They are nothing but low lives at that dealership. Mazda had an airbag recall which I received notice about several times so I brought my car in to Maple Shade Mazda to get it fixed. Upon completion I realized my car's dashboard (clock, heat/AC settings) and radio all did not work anymore. Dave Ingraham the manager said fixing the airbag did not cause the heat settings and radio to not work. I talked to his manager Peter Janis and corporate and they are saying the same. It's horrible customer service when you force a customer to come in for a recall (numerous mailed letters) and then not return the car in the same working condition. I don't think they intentionally broke it, but these car systems can be sensitive and it was their airbag work that caused this. I will never buy another Mazda or give them my business again. UPDATE: Mazda Turnersville Manager Pat and car mechanic Tony are AWESOME!!! They took the time to look at my car and they fixed it free of charge. Avoid them at all cost! I purchased a Milenia S "as is" car in March of 2011 and not one day after ownership, the check engine light came on and it was a living hell from that day on. The car needed several thousand dollars worth of repairs that I had no recourse in recuperating the money I spent to correct it's problems. These shady crooks knew that car should have been junked instead of retailed, but greed drove them to offer it for sale it to the public. That car is long gone, the salesman is gone, but never would they admit wrong doing for selling such a piece of s#*t to me. Took my daughters car for service while she was home from school. Dropped it off at 8am. The service area is closed between 12noon and 1pm for lunch. We were at dr appointment in Phila and were driving over the nearby Betsy Ross Bridge at 11:50am on our way to pick up the car. We needed to get the car asap and spoke to the service manager Dave and explained that we were approximately going to be at the dealership at 12:05 and could he please wait for us since the car was done. He said NO. I was shocked. I picked up speed over the bridge and we pulled into the dealership at 11:59. Called and got Ayita and said we are in the parking lot, please wait! Ayita said NO and hung up on me! I went into the dealership and was able to get the controller who was a very nice woman, and this person was able to take my payment and give us the keys. Honestly, if the service manager cannot miss lunchtime by 3 minutes to help a CUSTOMER, then I have to seriously question my desire to ever shop or get service at Maple Shade Mazda again. I have had better customer service experiences at gas stations in third world countries. There seemed to be ample people working in service and shifts should be staggered so that the customer can at least pick up their car if it is finished. It was like a bunch of second graders running out the door the minute the lunch bell rang. read more

We had already been to a few other dealerships and had a terrible experience at one. When we got to Maple Shade Mazda, Ryan wasted no time in finding out what we wanted. Instead of the usual dealership games, he came back within 5 minutes with an excellent deal. I was very skeptical right up until I was driving the car off the lot, because we had previously been promised good deals, only to find out later that they wanted even more money. In addition to a great car at a great price, Ryan took great care of us, not only leading up to the sale, but afterwards as well. We received a call from him and his manager making sure we were happy with our experience. The whole transaction was handled professionally, quickly and without any games or drama. I kept saying to my boyfriend, "If this really is the price and there aren't any surprises, I will be VERY happy." It was, there weren't, and I am. Initially it took them quite a bit to get back to me but I was told they were short staffed and as I was 4 months out from my lease, I guess they figured it wasn't urgent. In any event, they worked with me, got me to where I wanted to be payment wise and I love my new car. I also need to add that no one talked to me like I was an idiot who couldn't possibly understand what a residual was since I was a woman, which was something I ran into quite frequently on my car search. read more

The service department will overcharge you, possibly give you your car back in worse shape for something they 'won't say is or isn't their fault' and on top of it they're extremely rude and unhelpful. So my husband and I just bought a car at Maple Shade Mazda today and I have to say our experience was VERY pleasant. We may be different than other buyers in that we knew what vehicle we wanted upon entering the dealership. We had been searching for cars online for some time and found a nice used Mazda 5 that we fell in love with over the internet. We had every intention of buying the car as long as it looked good in person and drove well:) We approached by Ryan, who honestly from start to finish was AWESOME! He was completely not pushy at all and answered the many questions my husband and I had regarding the vehicle. Again, because we knew what we wanted, there wasn't much haggle or debate. I noticed while test driving that the windshield had a ding in it and Ryan made sure that the windshield was replaced for us once we purchased, which I thought was amazing and extremely helpful. When picking up the car today, the rest of the process was a smooth as the first. I was in and out!! My car is beautiful and I am so glad I gave this dealership my business. If you are looking for a new or used car, I highly recommend this dealership and Ryan as well! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I just got the vehicle today. STAY AWAY FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I have been to this service department on 2 occasions and both times feeling deceived, undervalued and simply like a victim in an SVU episode. The service advisor on both occasions tried to upsell us unashamedly. Prices for parts are 4-5 times non deal process for OEM parts. DO NOT ACCEPT QUOTES FOROM THEM. More importantly, they are deceptive. Went in for a non working headlight and was presented with a ququote for nearly $2000!!!!. "No power to the light, ;likely the control module ($595), wire and 'better replace the bulb' ($290). 'Best to also replace the whole headlight assembly since water may be getting in and shorting out the system" This is the BS they fed my wife while she was there. Ordered the control unit online ($105) and took it to my local guy. TURNS OUT IT WAS NOTHING MORE THAN THE BULB! ($88) Who tries to rip off people this way? And after all that, while my wife was leaving, he was trying to sell her on a $1000 brake job! Please, I advise all to stay away from these guys. This was the 2nd time this has happened... read more

The "service" department doesn't understand customer service. I have had several problems with my CPO Mazda, which I purchased at this dealership. They offer free oil changes so I am inclined to go there but whenever I call with a problem, they act like I am being unreasonable and pushy. My CX-5's accessories would not turn off when my ignition turned off, which meant I would drain my battery and not be able to lock my car on city streets. They tried to give me an appointment 2 weeks out (!) and when I asked that they escalate the urgency I was told that they were already backed up and couldn't fit me in. Plus, they treated me like I was trying to pressure them to drive one of their loaner vehicles. I don't care about their loaners - I just want my car to work properly. Customer service means that they should listen to my problem and help me solve it. Instead they act like I am crazy for calling about legitimate issues. It is maddening. I may just pay for oil changes from now on just to avoid this dealership. That's how bad they are. read more

My son worked two jobs to save for a 2014 Mazda 3 certified pre-owned 5 months ago and put $6,000 down. Brakes were certified 90% front 70% rear and tires were also certified in very good condition. In the last two weeks my son has put $850 into repair of the breaks (highway driving to work), $229 for a new battery ( also certified as good on the checklist) and Mazda claims it needs four new tires at $250 each. Today the Infotainment System froze. My son called and requested a meeting with sales and service managers - what they did was give him an appointment with his service rep. My next step is to help him pay for a lemon law lawyer. My son asked them to comp him for the items that should not have needed replacement already. They offered a minimal discount. Five people in this house and everyone we know has heard about the way Mazda refused to stand behind their Certified Pre Owned. You can't even reach corporate offices - only Customer (Non) Service. I had my car damaged while parked at a parking garage. The garage said they would pay for the damages. This mazda dealership took full advantage charging way more than necessary. However that is not my complaint, as I had nothing to pay. That just shows how dishonest they are. My complaint is that they accidently damaged the rear bumper and would not take responsibility for it! They denied they did it, when I know for a fact the rear bumper was 100% undamaged when I dropped the car off. I have warned the garage insurance company to stay clear from them from now on. I am also urging all those reading this review to beware as well. There are plenty of other, honest mazda dealerships out there. read more

My wife and I recently bought a CX-9 from Maple Shade Mazda that we are absolutely in love with. The car is so smooth and fun to drive. In reading through all of these other reviews, I can sort of relate to all of them. The sales staff is very friendly. The initial sales guy that we had was great! He was still sort of learning the Mazda cars, but my wife and I made sure it was fun. He was great to work with and I hope to come back some day to buy my next car from him. Once we found the CX-9 we wanted, we started working towards a deal. I can sort of understand the movie references mentioned in private reviews, but for me that's just part of the negotiation process. The sales staff was very friendly and at no point in time did I feel cornered or pressured to buy the car. Ryan was easy to work with and eventually we walked out since the price we had in mind and the price they were selling for just weren't meeting up. My wife and I were sad that we couldn't walk out of there with our new "dream" car. A few days later I received a follow up call from Javier, yet another person I would definitely buy from in the future. Javier knew that we wanted the car, we knew we wanted the car, and it was just a few conversations later that we came to an agreement. The fact that three of their sales staff all pitched in to help us purchase the car we 100% wanted was a great feeling. Looking back, we couldn't be happier with the car we purchased. On a side note, the CX-9 is fantastic. We both own Mazda cars, including my trade in, but getting this car has truly turned us into a Mazda family. My husband and I went to this dealership ready to buy that day (either a Mazda 3 or another model car from a different manufacturer). It started off alright, we had a nice salesman who, upon entering the building, promised that this dealership was "not like the others" and had a "no pressure" environment. Sounds good, right? After our test drive, we were offered cookies by who I assume was the sales manager, who did not offer his title outright. We didn't particularly enjoy the test drive, but we were on the fence--no matter what, we were still going to test drive the other car we had researched that day. That's when all the fun started. We sat down with the original sales guy and the cookie-toting manager (Ryan?) came over after the initial pressure began to set in. They began to play out like a movie--good cop/bad cop. Sales guy plays as if he's just getting pressure from his boss for a commitment, boss gives you every hardcore sales line in the book. We restated our need for research. "Come back tonight. Give me your phone number, your social security number. If you leave right now, we won't give you a deal. Make an appointment now. What price do we have to stoop to for you to make the sale right now? Look. You need to make this deal now." That was irritating at best, but what got us was he physically cornered us into our seats. Instead of the chairs facing the sales guy's desk, they were pressed against the wall with the manager getting closer and closer to back us in. We left feeling completely gross. No means no, guys. We bought a new car that day, just not from them. Beware the stereotypically nauseating car buying experience from them and look elsewhere. read more

This review is for the parts department. I had to order parts for a Mazda so I called them thinking they were the only Mazda dealer in town. It started off good. They told me the parts would be there by Wednesday because they had to be ordered (I ordered them on a Friday) and they would let me know when the parts came in. Come Wednesday when I still did not hear from them I decided to give them a call. The gentleman on the phone (Different then the first person I talked to) continued to tell me that the parts were never ordered because they were never pre-paid for. What!!! The guys never told me they had to be pre-paid for. Don't you think that was something they would have told you when you ordered them, not a week later when you call to follow up with the parts. So I called another Mazda dealer (Pacifico). They told me they could have all of the parts next day (Not a week later) and they were significantly cheaper. Oh ya, I didn't have to prepay for them. These guys were a waste to time and I would advise to anyone that is thinking about buying parts from them that you can get it somewhere else for less money and quicker. read more

My wife and I visited this dealership several months ago to look into buying a CX5 since our RAV4 was coming off its lease in less than a month. We could not have had a sleezier experience and will never come back. When we walked into the showroom, we explained our situation to the salesperson, and he then took us on a test drive. He was friendly and somewhat knowledgeable about the car, although he couldn't answer all of my fairly basic questions. He was a nice guy at this point and having a couple unanswered questions about the nuances of the car was not a huge deal. When we returned to the dealership, we went with the salesman to his desk and the sleeze-fest ensued. I mentioned I had purchased my Protege from them, and he said they offer a loyalty discount, which was great. I joked about how we definitely wouldn't be buying a car in the color of the test vehicle, which was like an ugly neon teal, but that what I really wanted to know was the price and features for the entry and mid-level trim lines of the CX5. The sales guy then goes through his inventory list of what colors are on the lot, with absolutely no mention of trim line, price, etc. I had to redirect him and flat out say look, I was joking about the color, what is important is trim line, features, and cost. He then went on for a good 10 minutes about how fantabulous it is if we buy a car from them, they have a costumer care club, they offer free oil changes for however many years, and oh my gosh, they use synthetic oil, how amazing! He then touted the benefits of synthetic oil vs conventional for another few minutes, and I again had to redirect him that I really really really wanted to talk trim lines and price. He then pulled out the inventory list and again told me what colors he had on the lot. They have red! Silver! Green!! White!!! So, having to redirect this guy yet again to tell him, look, we have 4 weeks left on the lease, perhaps a different color car could be ordered or would arrive on their lot, but I really really honest and truly want to know prices and features of the different trim lines. He then looked at us and said "well any price I give you has to be acted on today, it is the end of our sale," which must have been a secret sale since there was nothing being promoted. He then puts on his best, clearly-annoyed body language and strolls up the stairs to the manager's office. He returns maybe 3-5 minutes later with a printout, and before it is even shown to us his phone rings, he answers it, hangs up, and tells us "that's my manager, he wants me to hurry up," which was even more ironic because the lack of hurry up was due to his inability to listen to and answer my very simple questions. In the 5 seconds between that statement and storming out of the dealership, I was able to look at the printout to see it was simply the sticker price of the top trim line divided into 48 monthly payments. As we got up to say 'see ya later,' the salesperson said "oh no, I didn't mean it that way." Not sure what other way he meant it, but I will never ever in a million years return to this place. I would love to replace my Protege with another Mazda when the time comes, but I will drive an extra hour to purchase from somewhere else. They also own Turnersville Mazda, which would scare me away from that place as well. A sleezy, disgusting, insulting, completely time wasting experience at this place. It gets one star because zero stars was not an option. read more

Service dept is awful. Took car on 11 mile test drive. Recommends lots of flushes and oil change although thevshifter cable was hanging when car was towed in. My oil was changed 500 miles previously. Would not let a specific mechanic that I requested work on car. Told them to do nothing. Added a $10 fee for "shop supplies". They told me it was for dirty rags. read more

Just bought a Mazda3 from them and I'd recommend anyone else looking for a great car at a great price do the same. I'm a big fan of the Mazda3 series. It has a lot of value and features for a lower price tag. Of course, it also has the reliability of Mazda behind it. I'd recommend seeing Ralph Bantivoglio or Ryan Gruber (sales manager). Ralph was my sales rep. He knew EVERYTHING about the car. I mean, he knew all of the specs (horsepower, torque, suspension modifications, etc) and how to work every feature within the car. The best part: it was a model that you're lucky to find one on a lot. Who knows that much about the single odd car on the lot? Most people would know details about the main product and ignore the rarity. Another thing about Ralph: he extremely professional, caring and considerate. He was very straightforward with the numbers and the details. Want a no nonsense experience? See this guy! On top of getting a good deal on the car and a friendly experience, this dealership offers free oil changes for life, free inspections for life, some kind of extension on the powertrain if you do routing maintenance there [which, on a mazda3, is *free* oil changes, one air filter and a transmission (or coolant?) flush]. There isn't a reason to go anywhere else. The only reason they got 4/5 stars (i.e. "Yay! I'm a fan" instead of "Woohoo! As good as it gets") is because they didn't have water readily available for guests. We were there for a few hours and got quite thirsty and coffee was the only beverage available. Otherwise, these guys are on top of everything else. read more

Horrible experience. I emailed ahead of time concerned about the trade-in value of my car. The sales manager replies with a terse 2 line email saying they would consider giving KBB value if I would pay more for their car on sale. As someone who manages customer service operations for a living I couldn't fathom opening a $18,000 sale with that kind of condescending communication. I replied with the parameters of what I was looking for on my trade. I requested that they not waste my time if they weren't willing to get close to there. I was asked to come in only to have the trade-in offer come up an astounding $10,000 under blue book! I held back the overwhelming anger and shock, left and got what I was looking for elsewhere. Whoever taught these guys how to run a sales office really did a poor job. read more

I wasn't overjoyed by the buying experience itself, but they got me the car that I was looking for at the price I wanted to pay. So I can't complain too much there. That being said, their customer service turned out to be a literal nightmare. They swirl marked the windshield when they detailed it before I picked it up. You don't notice it until it's dark out and the oncoming headlights become a huge distraction for the driver. I spoke to the salesman within 72 hours of buying the car and told him in detail about the issue. His response was to bring it in and they would take care of it. Great. We finally got an opportunity to bring the car in [it's not easy with a new born on your arm], and were told it had to have been due to an ice scraper and that we were at fault. First, it hadn't even snowed yet when I had reported the problem, second, ice scrapers are plastic and don't scratch glass; third, who scrapes ice in a circular motion?!?! The final straw was today, when the service manager TOLD MY WIFE " F$*CK YOU! over the phone and hung up on her. I am shocked! No one deserves to be treated like we have been treated by this company. Go to a real dealership and get the respect you are entitled to. read more
