DONT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS PLACE. I spoke with Brad twice this week about a Honda CRV they have on their lot. Yesterday, on our phone call, he told me he'd see me tomorrow. Their hours are 10-6, Monday-Saturday. I arrived at 4pm on Thursday, after a two hour drive in the snow. Nobody was there. They closed early, presumably because of the half inch of slush on the roads. Understandable, if they didn't have someone coming with cash in hand fully intending to purchase a vehicle from them. Lazy fucks couldn't even stay past 4pm (I told them I'd be there in the afternoon because I don't live close by). Anyways, take your $ and time elsewhere. Had an optimal car buying experience at this business. We were well researched, knew exactly what we wanted and we had read/watched several car buying guides before doing business here. A certain model of car became available at MLM that we had been after for a long time. We braced ourselves for a stereotypical car buying experience and headed down to MLM. When walking onto the lot, we joked about how soon it would take for a salesman to descend upon us as we braced ourselves. However much to our pleasant surprise, we had a completely laid back excellent experience. We checked out the car in question without anyone hassling us. Then when we were ready for more info, we sought out the manager who could not have been more pleasant and easy to deal with. After a quick test drive and some pleasant conversation, we struck a really good deal. Very stress free and straight forward. MLM also handling the licensing and paperwork hullabaloo on top of selling us a sweet ride at a great price was also gigantic plus and made us so happy we brought our business here instead of dealing with private sellers. They also offer a limited warranty which was a surprise and a big bonus for taking a gamble on a used car. Our car buying experience at this business really could not have been easier or better. We came in prepared with a lot of knowledge, research and we knew exactly what we wanted. That really helped in this experience. But MLM gave us a great deal and the exact buying experience we hoped for in a no stress straight forward manner. read more

Purchased a vehicle on 09/01/2023. Also purchased 12 month warranty and Gap insurance total financed approx$6600. On 10/16/2023 45 days later their mechanic gave estimate for $1600 in repairs due to hole in exhaust caused by failed motor mount . I had less then 250 miles driven. I am a single 55year old female first time buying a car from car lot . Needed vehicle due to unexpected breakdown of prior work vehicle. Do not trust these grown men to sell a safe, dependable, fairly priced vehicle to your mother, aunt, or other single female relative in desperate need of a vehicle for work or other responsibility after all repairs will have paid almost. $9000 for a vehicle with barely a high end blue book value of $3800. read more

I got a car from Maple leaf motors on 11-07-2022 I got the extended warranty and they refused to fix my motor after it went out they sent me to Lugo's (also not a good place to go) but because they didn't want to work on my car they told Maple leaf motors that there was nothing wrong with my car. The employees that work at maple leaf are very nice people and I trusted them. I am just not satisfied that they sold me a car that I chose and it had maintenance problems. Maple Leaf is tops! To see how good, I need to tell the story with a glance at how it went in comparison at one of the big-name new car dealers, so pardon me, this is long. But you will have a much better understanding about why Maple Leaf is so much better and nicer to deal with! Buying a jalopy, no matter if it is only 3 months old, or 25 years, is always a gamble. Nobody has X-Ray eyes, including a dealer. The problems you buy from the previous owner are not revealed, until something bad happens. If you are lucky, nothing bad happens. If it does, and if you were smart, you didn't gamble your whole house on that jalopy! I've had 7 old jalopies for little money, and in the last two years financed 2 more of them, because the old 1000 dollar car that runs days are over! So with the last two now in my drive way, I've had 9 jalopies over 36 years and can sing a ballad or two about them. So please, buy a warranty nowadays, it is worth it, and I did have to use the one I bought for my 2003 Corolla I bought in 2018, the most expensive jalopy I had ever bought. You cannot fault a small dealer, for you being cheap. But they have much better deals on the add-on warranties, than Larson Toyota on South Tacoma Way ever did, because Maple Leaf doesn't slap on a huge profit margin to stiff you! So, to be fair, I blame myself under the "buyer beware" rule, if something goes wrong, especially should I be stupid enough to not cover my rear end with a warranty deal as a safety net. Nowadays, my budget doesn't allow for any new car anymore. So this is about used cars. Buying them at Maple Leaf in Spanaway I have this to say: This dealer is simply honest about what it is they sell! If the doors are falling off on the 2000 dollar wreck-a-car special, they tell you, and warn you not to get into it, unless you want a fixer project. That of course steers you to the more expensive vehicles, but have you spent any time looking around elsewhere? I used to like the Larson Toyota dealer on South Tacama Way. Those days have changed, as their old people are gone. I went there to get a van or hatchback a few days ago, so I can carry a mobility chair for my 91 year old Momsy. While the sales guy was ok, the so called "financing manager" wanted me to sign a bundle of papers, including an odometer statement, when I couldn't even turn the key or test drive the vehicle, as it was in the shop being prepared for sale! I told him I wouldn't sign that, until I saw the odometer reading myself. He got argumentative, and wanted me to sign an entire stack of papers, with more commitment hefty signatures, and he flat out lied about these papers having no legal weight! All that, without ever even turning on the engine! So I walked out, and ended up at Maple Leaf Motors. Jeb was very nice and absolutely no pressure. We chatted and had a good time. There is no big story, because it all went so pleasantly! He did all the preliminary work for my Credit Union submission AFTER I had checked out the vehicle, and then introduced me to their financing manager, Jesse. Jesse did everything right, including a quick introduction to their Covid-19 procedure, and wearing mask and gloves. He took this very serious, and I was happy he did. He also had good reason to do so, as he experienced the loss of three good friends to the virus. So we went through the papers, which NOBODY pressured me to sign, before I had actually done several checks on the lot, and three test drives! That was so drastically different from the other big dealer! The new for me 2011 Honda Fit, in a bright fire engine red, is now in my driveway, and tomorrow we will go and get Momsy's mobility chair and stuff it in this small for some opinions, but actually roomy wagon's rear compartment! All I need now is that blue "whoopy light" accessory to haul old Momsy to the grocery story fast, like a fire truck ... just kidding .... Maple Leaf is tops! read more

I recently bought a Ford truck from this lot. It was over priced considering all the repairs required for it to be a working vehicle. The sales manager agreed to fix 2 of the main problems in exchange for us paying full price. One of these problems was a crack in the transmission pan. We went ahead with the agreement, and less than 24 hours after driving it off the lot, the transmission started slipping. We took the car to our personal mechanic who told us it was a brand new tranny and he had a hard time figuring out what could be wrong. We took the car back to the dealer to use the 50/50 warranty to fix the transmission. They told us they would not fix it, but simply replace it with a used tranny with more miles on it than the car had. We refused and took it back to our original mechanic. After working on it and finding the issue was just a sticky valve, he also told us the transmission fluid was terrible and water contaminated. We told the dealer that his mechanic must have either installed the transmission pan wrong or intentionally put bad fluid in it. The dealer did nothing, barely sent one sentence about it back to me. Do not buy from this dealership, they will rip you off at ever turn. Not trustworthy, and their mechanic is either incompetent or worse. read more

If I could give Maple Leaf Motors zero Stars I would I bought my vehicle back in June 2018 starting in July the vehicle started breaking down starting with the front and back brakes leaky struts O2 sensors the catalytic converter and other issues that I'm having on a monthly basis I am stuck paying for a vehicle that does not run my transmission also went out 2 months after purchasing the vehicle from Maple Leaf Motors in Spanaway it has been a nightmare ever since I bought the car I feel like they knew that the car had a lot of issues and that I was in desperate need for a vehicle so they pawned that one off on me so for the last month my car has not been running I'm still making payments on it and paying insurance on it so if you're looking to buy a vehicle that is used do not go to Maple Leaf Motors I feel they are very dishonest and yes they did help me get the financing but that's the only thing that they did for me so since I've had the car for the last eight months it's been one issue with the car after another so do not purchase a vehicle at Maple Leaf Motors you will have issues and the lady at Maple Leaf Motors in Tacoma is rude and she will make you feel like you're the problem so do not purchase a vehicle from Maple Leaf Motors not to mention the loaner cars they gave me when they were fixing my transmission work three different vehicles that were a piece of crap they were filthy dirty the gas gauge didn't work one didn't have a defroster on it it was a nightmare and when I finally picked my car up after they supposedly put a new transmission in my car items had been rifled through CDs were missing my son cigarettes were missing things were strewn from one end of the car to the other and my front of the car where the driver sits in on the passenger side was filthy with mud so don't buy a car from Maple Leaf Motors. read more

My husband was dead set on buying a truck. He found one he couldn't wait to have at maple leaf motors in Spanaway. We went out and looked at it and took it for a test drive. It was blowing smoke out of the exhaust but they said yeah it has been sitting awhile. My husband really liked it, it was an extended cab f350 in the 90's. We traded our 97 Explorer as our down payment and signed all the papers and drove the truck home. We drove the truck home that night and drove it around a little more the next day and the smoke had not subsided. My husband did some Google searching of blue smoke which lead him to believe this truck had a blown motor. Reluctantly they did not want to take the truck back and said it would go away. We had to tell them we would drag their name through every media place like Craigslist, Facebook, bbb, YouTube. Everything we could think of. They took the truck back at that point released all interest for this truck from us and gave us our trade in back, but I will never do business with them again. read more
