(3.5 stars) Let me start by saying I didn't get a pizza. I'll do that next time.
I got a small cheesesteak (no lettuce, tomato, or peppers, and extra onion), loaded fries, thai chili wings and strawberry lemonade. In a nutshell, it all tasted good, but it was just fine.
The wings were typical: lightly fried and tossed in a sweet chili sauce. Wasn't spicy at all.
The loaded fries were good, but the fries themselves were soft. The meat was tender, the cheese sauce was savory, and the jalapeños weren't spicy. I added some hot pepper relish to the fries once I got home to make them punchier.
The cheesesteak was also ok. Toasted bun, good, tender meat, a nice amount of onions (I asked for extra) and good amount of cheese, too. I removed the lettuce and tomato....cos why is that even on there? I've had better cheesesteaks, of course, but this one wasn't bad. Oddly, a small cheesesteak ($6.99) is much cheaper than the loaded fries ($10.49).
I think the ranch might be homemade, but it could also be Ken's. I couldn't tell, but it reminded me of Ken's, so it was just ok.
I wasn't planning on getting a drink but they were just bringing out fresh strawberry lemonade, so I grabbed one. It hadn't even been put in the fridge yet so it wasn't cold, but she gave me a cup of ice to go with it. This I really liked--just the right amount of sweet, good flavor, and drinking it over ice made it even more refreshing.
The place was very clean and organized. There was only one other couple sitting in there when I went to grab my food, so it was quiet. The front desk person came out from the back quickly and she was very kind and helpful. She offered me a cup of ice when I asked if I should get one of the freshly made strawberry lemonades that she's just brought out or one that was already in the fridge. I took a fresh one with the ice. I appreciate that she wanted me to have the best experience possible.
I'm not impressed with this place, but I'm not disappointed, either. So, I'll def be back to try more stuff on the menu. read more
