The ratings for this place are suspect, I've been coming to Maple Glen since I was a child, and let me tell you the food is phenomenal! Not to mention they have recently started taking cards(was always cash only previously) which helps. My go to is a grandma's pie and fries to go. Love it!! Folks complain about prices raising, but that is everywhere these days, I'll pay for quality food over going somewhere that is going to charge me a little less and give me crap food. read more

You must try their taco pizza Their taco pizza is hands down the best one I have had in the suburbs of Philadelphia. We have patronized Maple Glen Pizza weekly for the last 32 years. The food has always been exceptional, with prompt service. It has always been a little pricier than other local pizza places, but their service, quality, and quantity of the food made it worth it! Lately, in the last 6 months we've become increasingly dissatisfied with the food, quantity and prices! A Chicken Honey Mustard Pizza cost us $42 and recently a Stromboli that was barely 1/2 thick with filling and so skinny cost us $35.90. It didn't even feed 3 people. Normally their Stromboli would feed 3 of us with leftovers. We are sadly done with our patronage of Maple Glen Pizza. It's not what it used to be! read more

TLDR: I never complain about service ever, but this place had such terrible service I had to. Additionally, wildly overpriced for mediocre fare. I'd like to start by saying that the last time I've complained about service to any business was probably 10+ years ago. I understand mistakes happen and am really easy going. I also work in the field of service and understand how challenging it can be. Additionally, I spent 6 years working/managing a pizza place. That being said, I ordered earlier tonight and can say I was disgusted by the customer service and won't be back. I call up and ask for delivery. They don't deliver. No problem, I'll drive the 4 miles to try and try a new place. My fiancée calls back and places the order with the paper menu she picked up days prior. 15 minutes they say and hang up. Ok. Go to pick up the order. It is a large 1 topping pizza, with half the pizza an extra topping. Additionally, I pick up a 2l soda. I provide my card and as the counter girl is swiping, she says the price is $33.75. I think I must've misheard, but the receipt indicates I heard correctly. I walk over and pick up a paper menu bc that isn't what I calculated prior to pick up. As I'm looking, the counter person says, "our prices have updated". So now I'm realizing they charge $21 for a plain large, $5.25 for a 2liter soda, and the remainder on toppings. I start to ask if I can return the 2 liter bc the price is absurd, but stop myself, not wanting to inconveniencing them during a dinner rush. Upon getting home, fiancée opens up the pizza and it isn't what we ordered. One side left plain. I call and explain the situation. The TikTok'er on the other end asks, "so do you want a refund or do you want us to make you a new pizza?" I thought she was offering a full refund (and given their prices, excellent customer service seems like a likelihood, so I say, "Yeah, sure. I don't really feel like driving all the way back out. A refund would be great." I wait for a couple minutes while I hear her talking to her supervisor. She gets back on and says. "Okay, we will refund $2.50 to the card." I say, "I'm sorry, but that's it? That really doesn't compensate for my time or gas to come back to replace the pizza." The girl doesn't address this, but rather turns to someone in the background. "He wants a full refund." I try to get her attention and say, "No, I don't want a full refund, but for you to just charge me the accurate price for something I ordered doesn't seem particularly fair. I'm asking for something to compensate me for eating something I didn't order and not have me spend the gas or 30 minutes to pick up". Her response. "It's edible right? You can eat it, can't you??" This is the first time I've raised my voice to a service person over the phone in I don't even know how long. "FINE. MAKE ME A REPLACEMENT. ILL PICK IT UP". After cooling off a bit, I called back because it just wasn't worth it to pick up. As the girl picks up, she's already gaslighting me. Before she "greets me" she says to someone "(exasperated tone)...like do you want your half topping pizza or not? (turns back to phone)Hello? Maple Glenn Pizza?" I say, "forget about remaking the pizza. Don't worry about the refund. You lost yourselves a customer." So, if it were just some obnoxious kid with no service experience, okay, but she was talking to a manager who was aware of the situation. So terrible customer service. Additionally, if you are going to give out menus with inaccurate pricing, maybe provide the price over the phone to customers before they pick up, or at least before swiping their card. Third, if you are going to price yourself as the premier pizza place in the area, have the service to match. Ambler Pizza is expensive, but they are delicious and offer incredible service. One of my favorite places in the area. Taco Pizza. As unappetizing as it sounds, it does not disappoint. I got a generous slice of the thin crust. Yum. The crust is crunchy with every bite. The pizza works because it only has hints of the flavor of a taco- freshly diced tomatoes and lettuce. However is not completely overpowered by the taco taste because the meat is the same meat you get on a philly cheese steak. It's topped off with ranch and cheese. The pizza is not overly heavy of greasy at all! 10/10 would recommend the taco pizza. I'm excited to come back again to try other flavors as well. read more

I frequently eat here, both sitting in and taking out. This hole in the wall pizza parlor has an rambunctious menu with a higher than preferred price point, but I believe it's justified. My favorite specialty slices are the taco and the avocado chicken pizza (picture included) and they're loaded with toppings and amazing flavors. They have a mild selection of beverages (both alcoholic and soft) and they have a decent seating selection. Though I'm not familiar enough with the owners, it's clear that they have amassed a loyal following, and I can't blame them. The pizza is pricy, but you pay for that premium. Amazing Grandma Pie but Very Expensive... Definitely worth it if you are looking to treat yourself

I would suggest finding another place for pizza. I understand the struggles small businesses went through in 2020 however charging nearly $50 for two pizza's is ridiculous. Granted we did ask for extra toppings on one of the two pies, but $3.25 for each topping is outlandish! If you ARE going to charge that, more than 2-3 onions and peppers would be nice. We have both been going there for years, it is a staple in the neighborhood. The pizza was just as good as I remember. It is expensive, that's no secret, but still slightly annoying. A half plain/half white pizza with two drinks was $25. Really delicious though! It's a super casual place, but it borderlines on divey. Could use some updating, especially the bathrooms. I didn't really have that much interaction with the people at the counter, but I didn't get the negative impression some people received. They were as attentive as needed, for a pizza shop. As for not bringing the pizza to your table? Who are you? There is very little space at the counter. It's confusing where to actually go to pick up the pizza. Three people were standing there....waiting, for what I have no idea. Maybe their orders. A man asked for a box for his tensing pizza. Girl gives him a tiny box. He says, "that's not going to cut it." Dumb, thoughtless attitude permeated throughout. Then we get the pizza. What has happened to Maple Glen Pizza. Loyal customers for 28 yrs. The current attitude of the high school cashiers is atrocious. Rude!!! The prices have risen by 50% on all items over the last 2 yrs or so. Pizza and hoagies don't require these ridiculous increases. GREED. Quality of food runs hot and cold. This all explains why the parking lot of MGP several years ago is mainly empty even on Friday nights. There are many other take out restaurants in the Maple Glen area who are customer and quality focused without the GREED component of outrageous price increases. 3 behind the CVS Chinese, Italian, and Mexican. MGP has been my favorite local pizzeria since I was a child. We recently moved back to the area and have ordered a few times, and they've still never disappointed. Prices are more expensive than some other places in the area, but the quality is there and yet to be disappointed. Great crispy dough with a nice flavor, delicious red sauce (never too much) and a great selection for toppings. Our go-to is pepperoni, onions, banana peppers (sometimes we switch the BP for mushrooms) - delicious every time. This is classic brick-oven pizza and it makes sense that you have to pay for quality. There are some comments here that complain about service, but that's never been an issue for us. They've always been friendly, patient and helpful anytime we've dined in (sometimes I'll take my young nephew and he can be indecisive), and we've never had an issue when calling in. read more

Been coming here 20+ years, from Taco, Grandmas, Meatlovers Sicilian, Boardwalk, White, Plain, Buffalo Chicken Pizza to CheeseSteaks, homemade pasta, Wedding soup, Mozzarella Fries, and now cheesesteak, buffalo chicken cheesesteak, chef, chopped SALADS! (yes, I wrote salads). Food is second to none with only the finest ingredients! After reading so many ho hum reviews, it motivated me to write this review - two chopped salads might cost $30 but by the time you buy individual items from grocery store your in it for $22, only to spend 45 minutes cooking your chicken and chopping vegetables. Your Taco pie might get a little soggy because of the POUNDS of steak, cheese, tomatoes, onion, lettuce, and special sauce added or because you left it sitting an extra 30 minutes before picking up... Old school Italians who crank out $3,000+ of (fast) food per hour at peak times. If you want to be greeted with a smile and hello upon entering may I suggest fine dining where you drop $60+ per person???(and the food might not be better) Perhaps we should all shut our mouths, or cell phone apps, and eat a little more:) read more

Born and raised in Philadelphia spoiled my ass as to what was/is good pizza. Pizza in the Montgo burbs suck in general, however I may have found a good one among the pathetic bunch. I was at a party a few weeks back, they had 4 pizzas from Maple Glen Pizza, a reliable local spot so I was told. And, if the rumors I heard are true, these are the former owners of Nino's Pizza on Rt 611. Not that I know that rumor to be true, but coincidental Sicilian evidence may give it credence. One of the pizzas was a Sicilian, you know, that thick crispy and nicely greasy crust pizza which in public most women say they don't like it because of "all the dough", but in secret wolf down piece after piece when no one is looking. This pizza was and is utterly amazing. The taste is as I remember from years ago, yes, that good to remember. The other pizzas include a regular, pepperoni, and a boardwalk pizza (the flip side of a regular). The sauce was terrific, the cheese of good mafia quality, and the crust thin and almost crisp. As far as the boardwalk pizza, I am not a fan, neither at the boardwalk nor here. Overall, a notch below South Philly and Rome, and ten notches above anything else around here. read more

The people answering the phones don't even know what is on the menu. It is a cash-only business (can an IRS audit really be far behind?!?). The pizza is really bad, watery, oily, and not baked well. It was reheated...given to me...not hot enough...re-heated again. It was crispy and a bit dried out at this point. I was sorry to waste my calories.
