Walgreens - I don't feel this way after speaking to that pharmacist

Walgreens

Now, granted, I'm talking about Walgreens, but I'm a senior and wanted to get my senior day…read morediscount. I decided to get Father's Day cards and wrapping paper. Again Walgreens, they didn't have a plethora of Father's Day cards, but I did get one for my husband, but none for "son-in-law," so I had to resort to a generic one. There was a sign as clear as day that read $4.00 off 2 Father's Day cards with a QR code and "scan here," which I didn't do. (I went back after checking out). I went to check out. An associate with no personality came to the counter. I smiled and said hello. I received barely a hello back. I asked her about the $4.00 off. She stated plainly, "you had to do that yourself. We don't do that here. Hindsight...I should have asked her if I could go and do that now, but I didn't, but with no one behind me, I think she could have said that to me. This person was old enough to have a smidge of customer service. Angry at myself, but more disappointed with the service.

Walgreens claims that they want to make filling your prescriptions easy; but, at this Walgreens, it…read moreis FAR from easy! Walgreens on White Oak Rd in Stafford, Virginia. I actually get anxious around time to submit my request for refill. There is ALWAYS an issue, when there really isn't an issue or whatever issue they state is incorrect. Like, "Insurance information needed" before filling. Really? I have been getting prescriptions there for 7 years and they don't have my insurance information? Other alerts say, we were unable to process your order. Please call the pharmacy. ugh! It should be easy to log into my Walgreen's account and submit my request, but these alerts! So, forget filling prescriptions online because they will have an issue and you will have to call and sit there and wait for someone to answer. This is not a smooth process at all. The dates on the bottles don't match any of the dates on my account; and, that pick up date? Don't get that wrong! It's a mess! Most importantly, the lead pharmacist is very unprofessional. He has stepped over the line with me more than once. He's rude! He is mean. He is flip. He is Jamaican (meaning I don't have his name). He needs to check himself. He needs to stop disrespecting me. "Nope" is the type of response I get from this professional. He needs to realize he is dealing with PATIENTS! He almost speaks to me in a tone like he wants to hurt me or make things difficult for me. Once, he did say he would never fill my prescriptions again. What the heck. I've even contacted the CEO and nooo response. Where is compassion for people and patients. It is VERY stressful when it comes time to order my medications. I just want consistency, ease, professionalism, equal treatment, etc. I would also love to pick up all of my prescriptions at one time. Someone called me about that once and I declined. I want to be in that program. Until then, I hope this pharmacist is transferred or ... something.

Customer service was so great! Employees in the pharmacy were friendly and ready to support me!…read more I'm in town visiting and would definitely come back to this location!

I don't know the name of the man I spoke with in the pharmacy 4 times today, but he was by far the…read morerudest, most condescending, liar I have ever spoken to. I went to order my prescription today and it was over $200 in the app. This medication is usually $10. I called CVS and he told me the systems were down and to call back in an hour (lie #1). I called back well over an hour later and the same person answered. He told me my medication couldn't be filled at all. When I asked why, he said it was because my prescription is a controlled substance (it isn't) and my doctor doesn't have a valid license (he does). I told him that the medication isn't a controlled substance and, if it was, I couldn't have gotten it from the same telehealth provider multiple times before. He then told me telehealth providers can prescribe controlled substances (another lie) but this dr couldn't. I called my doctor and checked the FDA site to confirm that neither of these things were true. I then called CVS a third time and the same man answered. This time, he said he must have been looking at the wrong medication when he advised me of that, which doesn't even make sense because I don't take a single controlled substance. At this point, he was very clearly annoyed that I was calling and ended the call by saying my Dr still wasn't licensed and disconnecting the line. I did some more digging and found that my doctor has had a valid, active license in VA for years and it is not set to expire for almost a year. This was confirmed on the state database, which I trust more than the guy who doesn't even seem to know which medications he is talking about. I then submitted a message in the CVS app detailing the above and asking for a resolution as I am clearly getting the run-around. The same man called me back and was immediately incredibly rude. He spoke down to me, continuously talked over me, and wouldn't listen to a single thing I said. He would not take the license info and insisted that I was wrong. When I tried to ask follow-up questions, he would raise his voice. After about 3 minutes of back-and-forth, I asked to speak with someone else. He told me there was nobody else. I know, as well as anyone, that he was not the CEO of CVS, so there must be someone above him. I also know that at 10am on a Saturday, he is not the only person working in the pharmacy. When I called him on that, he hung up on me. I immediately called the pharmacy back and spoke with someone else (finally) who told me he was someone from out of state and if I wanted help from someone I may have to wait for the regular pharmacist to return next week. I did some digging and called the 800 number to file a complaint. The rep I spoke with there was amazing. She was able to review their systems and confirm that there was no issue preventing them from filling the prescription and he was just lying to me. Suddenly, the price, "controlled substance" status, and the unlicensed provider issue were resolved. Shocker. If this is the service you all offer, I can see why the rating is as low as it is.
