Unfortunately, my interaction with the staff member (Genevieve) did not reflect the same welcoming tone. Her demeanor over the phone came across as dismissive and unwelcoming, which was disappointing, especially as someone calling for the first time regarding sensitive health concerns. As patients, we often reach out during vulnerable moments, and first impressions matter. I want to be clear that this review is not a reflection of Dr. Romero, as I have not yet had my visit and am hopeful for a positive experience. I simply believe that front desk interactions set the tone for patient care, and this is an area that could benefit from improvement. I had my first two pregnancy visits with a…read moredifferent OBGYN group - but had such a terrible experience that I switched over to WFHC at my 11-12 week mark. I am so happy I did. Here's some reasons why I give them 5 stars... 1) I never waited longer than 5 minutes to be seen at their office in West Orange. They were always on schedule. 2) Late appt times and Early appt times available. I work full time and the flexibility in appointment times was crucial. 3) While pregnant I used the WFHC emergency line (I had food poisoning while pregnant) and nursing message line - everytime I receiving a timely and helpful response from the MDs or RNs. 4) They supported our desire for a natural birthing plan. 5) They never incited worry/fear about my pregnancy (the OBGYN that I went to for my first two visits DID create alot of fear and concern during the first two visits - it was terrible). Yes it was a normal pregnancy, but never did I leave there offices concerned about how I was doing or the baby. 6) They took the time to answer all my questions at each visit. During the labor and delivery process: 1) The St. Barnabas OBGYN residents were very eager to treat me ASAP with multiple interventions/medications right as I walked in the door. I could feel their "must do something" eagerness. It overwhelmed my husband and I - and it felt as though our birthing plan was being thrown out the window. But Dr. Lo and Dr. Sylvester calmed us both and talked us thru the process, which included our birthing plan and input. They offered us several options for treatment (induction methods, as my water broke at home and I needed to deliver within a specific time frame to reduce the chance of infection). It allowed us to feel empowered in the decision making process. 2) Dr. Sylvester was the delivering MD for us, she was wonderful! Calming, positive, kind, knowledgable - my husband and I agree that she was the best staff we encountered during the entire birthing experience/hospital stay (considering MDs, residents and RNs). 3) Although the labor and delivery did not go exactly how we had planned - it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this practice to others! And if we have another child in the future - I will hope and pray to have Dr. Sylvester with us again in the delivery room! (although I bet the others MDs are just as good - we just had such a great experience with her)

The front desk told me that they would send it to my pharmacy. I waited for 1 day and didn't receive text message from CVS( unusually received text when medicine is ready). So I called the front desk and asked them if they sent the medicine to pharmacy. They said they did. The woman almost fought with me. After waiting for one more day, I called cvs pharmacy, cvs told me that they never received any prescription for me. Also the same day I saw the doctor, the front desk told me that they requested ultrasound results from ER I went based on my request. After one week when I called back to check if they received the results. They told me that they'll check and call me back soon. Nobody called back. I called again the second day. The girl said another woman requested the results and need to wait for her to get the answers. These people really prevent the patients to go to see the doctor even doctor is good.
