Dr. Sonoo Advani is a bewitcher of poor souls, and is a murderess, by her dereliction of duty to inform her patients, of that which she confesses to know to be, "the only cure," for the diseases she charges her patients to treat, by her own peculiar dietary recipes and life-long guidance, which treatment no insurance plan will cover, and which she had urged my wife and me to consider paying her to administer, for the treatment of my leaky gut, and many other obesity-related afflictions.
This is what my wife and I suffered, on Thursday afternoon, April 12th, 2018, at Dr. Advani's place of business.
Dr. Advani walked into the examination room, having received my blood work.
"So, you've cured yourself, congratulations," she said.
"Yes, doctor! Isn't it amazing?" I said, visibly jubilant, "My insulin resistance, my high blood pressure, my life-long obesity, my crippling fatigue, my ravenous hunger, my morbid depression-- all completely cured! My growth hormone is up, twelve hundred fifty percent (1250%), my Basal Metabolic Rate is up twelve percent (12%), and I am in a constant state of clear-headed euphoria, due to the seventy-fold increase (70x greater) of betahydroxybutirate!"
Dr. Advani stood at the computer, "I'm going to have to lower your thyroid medication."
"Yes, isn't it wonderful? I plan to lose another fifty pounds, by our next visit, and to be off medication completely, in a few months. I have no fatigue whatsoever. My asthma is gone. Everything is gone but my hiatal hernia--but I want to trim down to 145 lbs, before I explore any further options."
"I was going to treat you with probiotics, but you are curing yourself," she said.
I looked into her face, beaming with happiness. "Doctor, you have got to learn about fasting. They don't teach this in medical school. My wife and I and all our friends are fasting now, with great results, and we're telling all our doctor-friends about it, so that they can cure obesity in all their patients. Here, look."
I handed her The Obesity Code, by Dr. Jason Fung. "This is the most important book you will have read, since medical school."
She took the book, she leafed through the pages, she said, "What makes you think I don't know about this?"
"Doctor, surely, if you already knew about fasting, you would have prescribed it to me and to all your patients, who suffer from obesity and obesity related diseases. Fasting is the only cure for insulin resistance. Fasting is the only cure for obesity, and for type 2 diabetes. It is the only known cure for all my problems. No calorie-restrictive diet, not even the ones you prescribe, can cure these problems, and no amount of exercise will do it, either."
"I know that," she said, moving toward the door, leaving Dr. Fung's book behind her.
Stunned and bewildered at her indifference and her glib response, I said, "You knew that fasting was the only cure? You knew? Why didn't you tell me?"
She paused at the door, "because no-one has the will-power to fast. You have extraordinary will-power. None of my patients has the will power, even to fast for a day. Many of them would not be able to fast, even for twelve hours."
"But I don't have any will power," I said. "I have been obese since I was seven years old (that's 41 years of misery) and I have never been able to escape it, because I get ravenously hungry. With fasting, after the second day, you feel no hunger at all! This is not will power. This is easier than anything I've ever done, and my life is changed forever, I'm coming off medication..."
She didn't want to hear another word. She walked out the door, very rudely, leaving my wife and me behind her, with her assistant, who led us quietly toward the payment desk.
The next morning, my wife called Dr. Advani, to request a copy of my bloodwork to be sent to my G.P., and to request a safe schedule, for the promptest possible cessation of my thyroid medication. Dr. Advani refused to give her any information, how to end my medication safely. She became irate, she raised her voice, and she threatened the possibility of my slipping into a coma, if I should come off the medication improperly.
My wife, deeply alarmed, said, "Please tell me, for the safety and health of my husband, how he should taper off the medication."
Dr. Advani said, "find yourself another endocrinologist!" and hung up.
It saddens my wife and me, very deeply, to bear this testimony against Dr. Sonoo Advani, as two eyewitnesses of her cruelty and malice, not only toward ourselves, openly, but also in secret, toward all the rest of her clientele, who will never learn the "only cure" from her, because she judges all her patients unworthy to be told how to attempt it, but not unworthy to receive her life-long treatment and dietary guidance, if only they can find the money.
Shame on you, Dr. Advani.
Sincerely,
