After I was botched. I was treated like a second class citizen. instead of appogising, or at the very least being conciliatory I was verbally abused. Imagine. Then asked if I wanted my money back...duh ."Yes I think it would be a good idea, "Then it was on, we will return your money but do not come back here ever. As if that would have been a remote possibility. Something is seriously wrong there. What they did not know is that my dear friend was coming to visist and I suggested she get some work done before she went home , sort of a refresher to surprise her husband. It would have been a substantial financial outlay. I told her what happened, naturally she cancelled her preliminary evaluation. Thank God. They lost a chunk of cash with that one. read more

Scheduled an appointment WEEKS in advance and received a call as I was parking the car stating "they don't accept my insurance" after giving all insurance over the phone to the receptionist the same time the appointment was made! Front office staff is clearly uneducated about insurances and does not value peoples time- especially rushing to this appointment after working an over night shift! What kind of medical practice "verifies" insurance coverage the same day as the appointment?!? Guy from (finance department at the office) "called" to find out about my out of network benefit coverage came back out to waiting room 5 mins later with paper in hand for IN NETWORK benefits coverage after he just explained they DONT take my insurance INSISTING I still be seen "because I'm already here" absolutely not to then get stuck with HUGE out of pocket expense!? I have known Dr. Abraham since I was 17 years old in high school when I went in for a rhinoplasty consult. After discussing thoroughly what he would be able to accomplish, I decided to move forward. To say he did the most amazing job would be an understatement. Even back then he made myself (and my mother who goes to this practice as well) feel comfortable and reassured. Fast forward over 15 years later and I wanted to have a small tip revision done as my nose had drooped a bit over the years (which is common). I now live all the way out in Phoenix, Arizona but there was no one else I trusted more than Dr. Abraham to do this revision for me. He is incredibly knowledgeable, re-assuring and his entire team is so very kind (shout out Judy!). I even referred him to my close friends who went to see him as well. Overall there is no one else I would recommend more than Dr. Abraham for your rhinoplasty. Thank you Dr!!! read more

Had an app in October 2023 for a medical Botox evaluation. I was told this could be done, they would submit to my insurances. I had an appointment for the end of November for the first shots. Called early in the week as I had heard nothing about insurance approval, was told it hadn't come through. Told someone would get back to me. never got a call back. Called in December was told it still hadn't come through. Called after the holidays and found out it was never submitted, and that they had(and lost) 2 insurance staff. Got a call from a staff member(who was not the insurance person) leaving me a message that didnt make sense. Found out she called for someone else. I asked the insurance person call me back so I could appeal the insurance company's decision. No return call. Called today (now at the end of January), to be told the Dr may not do Medical botox. And, that the PA had no right to tell me that they would( this was the reason I was referred there). Patty the Office Manager spoke over me and didn't listen, until I pointed this out. Waiting to hear if the Dr will even do the procedure. Not holding out a lot of hope. read more

What a long strange trip it's been. September of 2021 was my first visit to this office for an ENT consult before a rhinoplasty consult. Lack of greeting. Price discussed before procedure discussed. Extra white coats in the room with no explanation. An unfriendly and unprofessional office. I posted a 2-star review here. Abraham (or staff) posted an apology and asked for another chance. So I went in again for a rhino consult. My consult was on January 13. Abraham, himself, was fine. Digital imaging for a rhino didn't show much difference but did convince me a lower facelift/neck lift was in my future. I met with Christina and paid an $800 deposit to reserve a rhino surgery spot on May 9. We also discussed with her a lower facelift, and she printed out a fee sheet for me. Red flag: I hadn't had a consult for a lower facelift yet, so clearly fees are not customized. The images from this meeting weren't mailed from the practice till late February (although the cover letter is dated 12/28/21, two weeks before the consult happened. Odd). The printouts convinced me that, yes, a lower facelift was a better choice. I called the practice and asked if I could change the procedure. Christina said she'd have to shift things around; a lower facelift takes longer than a rhinoplasty. She'd call me with options next week. No call came. I called and left a message. The following week, still no call came. I finally called on Friday afternoon and got a hold of Christina. She said she couldn't change my procedure in May and offered to reschedule me for July. July wasn't possible for me. By now it was mid-March. I asked to be called if they had a cancellation. Wednesday, March 30, Christina called with a cancellation for April 8, nine days away. I hesitated; such short notice would require some complex arranging at home and I had had no facelift consult. I'm sure a consult is just a formality to them, but after hearing Christina get shorter and shorter with me, I agreed to the surgery date and vowed to get used to the idea later. I asked for a facelift consult She said I'd had one already (no) and I would have my pre-op when I came in for surgery. (This is when they tell you how to prepare, to stop alcohol and blood thinners, etc.) I didn't think pre-op instructions on the day of the surgery would be helpful and asked for an appt a few days in advance. So Tuesday before a Friday surgery. Okay. Christina asked if I wanted to be awake or asleep and I said "awake." She said I couldn't be awake because I was on Tramadol. I said, "No, I don't even know what that is." "It's a painkiller! It's in your paperwork!" I listed the meds I am on, and repeated "I'm not on Tramadol." She insisted (picture this in italics) "It's in your paperwork!" This was confusing. I know I didn't put it there. There's an error somewhere. By now, the conversation had deteriorated. I was feeling bullied and thought it best I get off the phone. When I spoke to my husband, "Eureka!" It turns out that when I broke my shoulder last October, my orthopedist prescribed Tramadol. It's an opioid, and not something I am "on." None of this office behavior had to do with Abraham's expertise, I told myself. So, with a spot on the schedule, I miraculously got all lab work and pre-op clearance taken care of by my Tuesday consult/pre-op with Abraham. Driving there -- I live over an hour away -- I got a call from the office canceling the Friday procedure because of "an emergency." My husband said my thoughts, "They're having an emergency in four days?" My PCP said the same thing, adding, "Plastic surgeons do not have emergencies.". Christina was in surgery and I asked that she call me back. Again, no call came. Two weeks passed. No word. So I called and asked for my deposit back. It took two more calls from me and two and half more weeks to finally get my deposit back, minus $150, on May 6. Obviously, I cannot recommend this practice. Abraham's fees are 30-50% higher than other Hudson valley surgeons, and equivalent to NYC's, despite his paying no hospital fees. I had consults at several offices and all of them respected me and none of them wasted my time. These appointments should be pleasant and exciting. Please remember that this is elective surgery, paid for with your own money, and you have full control over your choice of surgeon. You deserve clear and considerate communication and care from a plastic surgeon's office. I've had plastic surgery before, years ago in Beverly Hills, plus several consults over the years, and never have I felt so bizarrely yanked around. I know these procedures are routine for them, but it is major surgery for me and absolutely terrifying. I should feel safe, heard, and grateful. And so should you. read more

They always go out of their way to make you feel comfortable no matter what type of service you may choose to have! My esthetician Annaliese is the best and gives wonderful facials and skin treatments. I have been well taken care of by Dr Abraham who is patient and highly skilled. He makes your feel special! I came in to get a deviated septum fixed, as well as a small bump shaved down. Dr. Abraham was fantastic in explaining the entire process to me and making me feel comfortable. I cannot recommend Dr Abraham. A year ago I had a tiny spot of skin cancer on my nose and Dr Abraham was the plastic surgeon who would reconstruct my nose after the spot was removed. Though I visited the office twice pre-surgery the doctor himself was never there to see how my nose normally looked thus the first time he saw my face was when my nose was swollen and had a small but deep divet directly after the cancerous spot was removed. He said the wound might need cartilage from my ear. I requested that if at all possible we not do that. The more we spoke the more convinced he became that this second surgery which would remove cartilage from my ear to fill the wound on my nose was required. He removed the cartilage from my ear and put it - a LOT of it, far too much - in my nose. For months while the wound was healing I walked around with a shark fin of cartilage protruding up 1/4 inch from my nose. When he saw it rather than apologize he angrily told me that I should have told him. When I told him I had in fact called the office the day after the surgery when I felt the huge chunk of cartilage in there he said that oh well there was nothing he could have done anyway. He then performed another surgery to shave down the cartilage. Again, when the wound healed a couple of months later there is still an obvious bump of cartilage on my nose. When he saw it today he said that all the cartilage needs to be removed. I was angry and said I felt he'd done a poor job and I'd paid the price by having suffered extra surgeries, by having had to walk around like this for a year and by having to pay my $40 co-pay every time I come in. I said I felt it was unethical that he bills me and the insurance company for these additional surgeries that are required not for cancer but to correct the job he did poorly the first time and poorly the second time. Perhaps not surprisingly he became enraged and now refuses to fix it. Take all this as you will. I recognize that mistakes do happen but feel Dr Abraham should have been able to understand and hear my frustration and that he should have been willing to fix the job that he did. Twice before the incident of today I have heard his office staff refer to him as arrogant. This is my finding as well. read more

I recently had a basal cell cancer removed from my nose and required surgery to reconstruct it. Dr. Abraham and his team did a fantastic job seeing me through the process of reconstruction.
