I called a whole bunch of dermatologists in the area and crossed my fingers. Hudson Dermatology had a last minute cancellation and called me in. I am still counting my blessings that I ended up there on the day Dr. Caroline Raftopol was in the office. Because of covid19- they are currently only open one day a week with only one Dr on site and they are obviously slammed. The only open appointment they had to surgically remove it was almost a month away. I asked if she please could do something to reduce the pressure / pain (cortisone, lancing, etc) and she asked me to wait while she tended to another patient who'd been waiting. I (happily) waited about 25 minutes and she back came in and told me that she would just do the surgery very quickly. I strongly suspect she used her own lunch hour to do it. I only paid an insurance co-pay of $25 dollars and they prescribed no extra medication/antibiotics at all (which I can say a week later, I absolutely did not need). She did a fantastic job and I am so incredibly GRATEFUL to her and the staff for deciding to properly remove it instead of doing a quick, temporary fix. I will absolutely go to Dr. Raftopol and Hudson Dermatology for any dermatological needs in the future. HIGHLY recommend.

I assumed it would be a quick procedure to excise the pore. Instead, I was scheduled for an initial consultation that lasted no more than a minute, for which I was charged $75. During a second visit, she excised the pore using a special instrument and closed the site with absorbable sutures--which, in fact, did not dissolve, requiring me to return a third time to have them removed. The doctor did warn me that there would be a scar, but she failed to mention that it could turn into a massive keloid scar--especially since the skin in that area is constantly in motion! As a physician, she should have informed me of all the potential risks and consequences. Dr. Nicole Guerin is very formal, cold, and shows no real interest in her patients. Currently, another doctor--Saluja Sandeep from Cornwall Hudson Dermatology--is working to correct her mistakes. Unlike Dr. Guerin, he is highly professional, attentive, and friendly. I never expected to spend so much money only to end up with a problem far worse than the one I started with.

I was skeptical about it at first, since it would come and go, but trusted the advice. The prescription information did say it could take a handful of weeks. Lo' and behold, a handful of weeks later and for the first 3-4 weeks in a long time, I haven't had an acne breakout at all. I can't believe my skin is actually getting better and healing. I've had eczema since i was a child and have had almost every treatment available and have gone through so many doctors that have given up on my case. But Dr. Cummings has been very helpful and convinced me to try Narrow Band Light therapy and so far it's going ok, but it's a lot better than having to use topicals that have thinned my skin. I also don't know why there are bad reviews saying that the front staff is rude, I've never had a bad experience with them and they're very polite to everyone that walks in. I highly recommend Dr. Cummings if you you have skin issues.

I had the misfortune to meet Dr. Goodheart at Elmhurst Hospital Center after being referred to his…read moredermatology clinic there from the hospital's emergency room. I had pustular psoriasis and I've had it before in 1996 though I was much worse then. At that time I was treated with very low-level chemotherapy which essentially ended my bout with pustular psoriasis within 10.5 hours. Unfortunately Dr. Goodheart instead prescribed a one lb. tub of a steroid in ointment; the messiness of this versus the handiness of taking three small pills over 24 hours cannot be overstated; I have to bathe and while my body is still moist I have to cover myself with this steroid ointment. The side-effects of the steroid being applied twice a day for the last two weeks to such a large portion of my body cannot be understated; steroids destroy sleep; I've been averaging 4 hours, at best, every 48 hours; this is not good for both my mental and physical health; I've been having mild hallucinations from what I would suppose is lack of sleep. That and steroids can induce varying degrees of psychosis; my temper has been incredibly short. Another issue is that steroids also increase appetite; Goodheart knows I'm diabetic but he seems to have no qualms about the way this drug has changed my eating pattern. These are all, to me, very serious quality of life issues but Dr. Goodheart doesn't seem to care about my opinion of my care this way; he simply doesn't listen and just argues with me and insists that what he's doing is correct. His practice is in Fishkill, NY and he's also associated with Mt. Sinai Medical Center; his credentials, overall, seem quite credible but I personally think he's a not really a good doctor.

I found Dr. Warycha to be both professional in every way and down-to-earth, a great combination of traits for a Dr.
