I had a 3:00 appointment, I was told to be early since I am a new patient. I sat there and waited…read moreto be called into see the physician's assistant, and everyone that came in after me was called in before me. I finally was call in and was prescribed a expensive medication. I have been using this medication for a while and it doesn't work. I called to get something else and I am told someone will get back to you. I never heard from anybody. Ignoring someone show what kind of office this is. I wouldn't waste my time going back here again.

So let me get this straight... You are dermatologists. A dermatologist cares for skin conditions,…read moreusually most types and many issues. I would think, one of the simplest of conditions would be a skin rash. A person who has a skin rash, especially one that is spreading down both arms, legs, torso, webbing of fingers and toes, and now has itching near eyes, (but no noticeable rash there), would need to be seen rather QUICKLY. Likely poison ivy or something similar because said person was working in a garden two days prior. However, this person is not a doctor and cannot self diagnose, SHOULD not self diagnose. This person is itching like crazy and actually in quite a bit of pain in the crook of the elbow. The spreading is of concern. Using over-the-counter relief items is not helping to cure, only provide very minor temporary relief. This person definitely needs medical attention to properly diagnose, stop the spread and ease the discomfort. As an existing patient, when calling your office only to be told the next available appointment is ***11 days*** later... Is absolutely unacceptable. Then to be told that your office does not take "emergency" patients, or slip in patients in need, is ridiculous. I offered to come in and sit and wait between patients. I don't care if I had to wait. Again you don't "double book" patients. If a dermatologist does not address rashes, unusual skin conditions that pop up, and things of that nature... What exactly do they do for patients in need? Send them to the ER? For what? A rash? What type of expense are you willing to force your existing patients to endure because you can't handle the necessary patient care in order to be an effective dermatology practice? Certainly not one that your patients can count on in their time of need. To be told you don't accept patients without an appointment in a last-minute need, and to force your patient to wait 11 days to address a rash... Is absolutely ridiculous and unheard of as a dermatology office. If anyone is looking for a new Dermatologist, I highly recommend you go elsewhere if you were hoping to find someone you can depend on. Looking for someone you DON'T need to see in a pinch? Then whatever. However, do not think of joining this practice should you ever think you or your family may need to see a dermatologist in any capacity other than one that doesn't need advanced planning. So disappointed, shocked, actually, that would be their policy. Shame on you.

Note: this is now Schweiger dermatology, and has been for a couple of years…read more Went here on Thursday April 17th 2025 for my annual appointment with Dr. Amy Adams. Was easy to find parking, and easy walk to the office. Checked in, and pleasant clerk that checked me in. Didn't wait long at all, and went in the office and to the back straightaway. Nurse was pleasant- again told me to take off my socks, but i kept them on because I can be easily cold. Took off all my clothes except my underwear, and socks. Was given a paper gown, which may not be the greatest as far as comfort, but this visit i felt it was a little more comfortable. Exam was quick, doctor was pleasant, and only moved the gown of the parts she examined. For example, she looked at my chest, covered one side, and uncovered the other, and tucking it in the gown after was done. Kudos for respecting modesty here, and what the patient wants to do. for example, i have vitago, and can get a prescription for it, but didn't want it because I have a weird shower routine sometimes. Dr. Amy Adams respected my decision on that, and of course respected my modesty. i got dressed, made an appointment for next year, Then went on my merry way. Oh and side note: I was away and kept getting referral messages from this office, and well 1, my doctor was slow(not to mention seemed to not want to write me a referral at first) , and sent the referral very last minute, and 2, they did mess up and say they needed a referal after they recieved it. However, in the message they did apologize, and the insurance was checked at check in.

My insurance charges me $80 for said injections. 7 appointments later and it was finally decided that these injections don't work and there is nothing the practice can do but refer me out. I wouldn't be so u happy except by January I had mentioned the injections do not seem to work. So $300 later they agreed. I will be finding a new derm for this specific problem.

For some reason this place doesn't offer patient online registration thus saving the time of filling out the paperwork, never the less i prevail on. Her lounge/sitting area isn't the best of decor Ive seen for an office, which was kinda lame but that's my personal choice has nothing to reflect on her on duty as an MD. So I'm sitting there in these uncomfortable chairs that are closely packed side by side as if I'm in a platoon awaiting for some stumper mission to be handed down upon me, I am called to see Dr. Cestero. Kind & endearing women, but her english need work lol. Her first language is spanish so I was little off being that mi espanol es no bueno & no me praticar (and i dont practice) for the english speakers. So she is observing my condition & and mentions a reason for why it could have occured but the language barrier was difficult to overcome. Now for everyone who was spanish speaking (which was everyone) I clearly saw they were comfortable with her & that's great. Overall she was able to address my concern & her bedside manner was courteous for our language barrier but i would have liked to have asked more questions. All in all she diagnosed my condition on spot & its healing rather quickly, so kudos to Dr. Cestero!
