(even though i'm from the community) politely and with out making small talk ( as a busy doctor that always has a packed waiting room with a month waiting for reg. appointments) i visited Dr. Strenger, about a growth on my thigh, and by the way showed him a little pink mole that was intermittently bleeding - I had shown this to my regular doctor who dismissed it - but when Dr Strenger looked at it (for a second) without "saying much" cleaned the area then took out a razor and a tiny container, sliced it off, and told me its probably nothing but i'm sending it in to the lab for a biopsy. as it turned out it was a melanoma mole, but thanks to Dr. Stringer it was caught very early so i didn't need any treatment as it didn't spread. when I went to "Memorial sloan hospital" to one of the highest professionals on melanoma for surgery he told me i should be very thankful to my dermatologist for testing that mole as it was a very rare type that he might have not recognized as a dangerous mole, had we not removed surgically that mole it could have spread very fast. so While I thank GOD for sending mew to the right doctor I have to thank the Doctor himself. BTW I once asked DR. Strenger how he diagnoses so quickly and he said if you cant diagnose in the first 10 seconds you cant diagnose. I've been to Dr Strenger many times since and were always treated very professionally, A Dermatologist is not a shrink to spend his and his patients waiting on girly talk cause a patient is lonely before his wedding.

I'm very disappointed with my experience at this dermatology office. I never even got to see the…read moredoctor because the staff insisted that I leave a credit card on file before anything else, supposedly in case the insurance did not pay. The strange part is that they never verified my coverage with the insurance company first. In most medical offices, the staff checks benefits, co-pays, and coverage details directly with the insurance provider using the billing codes. That is literally part of their job. Instead, they wanted ME to call and figure everything out myself, even though I already provided my insurance card. I explained that I was not comfortable leaving a credit card without knowing exactly what would or would not be covered. Leaving a card on file without verification feels like giving a blank check. Everyone knows insurance companies often do not pay 100% of inflated medical charges, and patients can end up receiving surprise bills. The staff kept pushing paperwork and forms on a tablet instead of doing their own verification work. I found the process extremely unprofessional and incompetent. In all my years dealing with doctors' offices, I have never been told that verifying insurance coverage was my responsibility. Unfortunately, I wasted my time and left without seeing the dermatologist. I'm sorry to leave this review, but I think people should be very careful before signing forms or leaving a credit card without clear information first.
