During the actual appointment, the surgeon looked at my list, identified that I take a prescription blood thinner, and stated I would need to stop it for two weeks to proceed safely. Because it is medically impossible for me to pause this medication, the surgery was a total non-starter and the appointment was effectively over. While I respect the doctor's medical expertise, my medication was clearly disclosed on the intake paperwork days before the visit. A properly managed front office should screen forms for absolute contraindications before booking an appointment and collecting non-refundable fees. To make matters worse, when I pointed out this administrative oversight and offered a reasonable 50% compromise ($150 refund) to account for the doctor's time, the office manager refused. They attempted to justify keeping the full fee by sending me a copy of a policy stating fees are non-refundable for "cancellations." I did not cancel; I fully attended the appointment. When I asked to escalate the issue to the surgeon to review , the practice completely ignored my emails. The medical care here may be fine, but they do not actively screen advance paperwork to protect patients from paying for impossible consultations, and they will misapply their own contracts to avoid issuing a refund. Double-check your own medical eligibility before giving this office any financial details.

The biggest problems for me as a prospective new patient were: (1) Lack of price transparency: they refuse to provide even basic pricing information (for out-of-pocket, cosmetic skin treatments) without a consultation. This forces customers who might otherwise look elsewhere for treatment to schedule a consultation and pay a hefty "consultation fee". SIDENOTE: at the consultation, which lasts all of about 5-10 minutes, I still had to twist the doctor's arm to provide pricing details for the procedures I wanted. (2) The consultation fee: a staff member told me over the phone that the doctors will "usually" apply the $215.00 consultation fee to the cost of future treatments. This information turned out to be wrong and/or misleading. The doctor refused to apply any part of my consultation fee to any future procedures (which would have cost me several thousand dollars). They then explained that the decision to apply the fee to future treatment is actually always a discretionary, case-by-case decision -- this was definitely not the impression I got when I booked the appointment. (3) Bedside manner and staff: in general, the staff was not very friendly (both on my arrival at the office and over the phone) and the doctor was contrarian and aloof. For example, when I repeated some information she gave me back to her (trying to understand it), she goes, "don't put words in my mouth." Based on this experience, I would be wary of dealing with this practice, even if they are technically proficient at what they do.

I went to see a well renowned laser dermatologist at NYU who told me that Gasiorowski had used the WRONG laser. I could have been badly scarred. I was treated with the correct laser at NYU very successfully. At the time, the technology was new and Henry Gas had no cotton pickin' idea what he was doing. Lack of Knowledge and Greed are a bad combination.

We live in Westchester and after much research on physicians I brought her to Dr. Goldberg for a free consultation on getting a tummy tuck. My wife has been exercising her entire life, she is basically an athlete. At 62 she looks at least ten years younger except for her midsection that had separated abdominal muscles and a "pouch" of skin caused by childbirth. Initially I was very impressed with his before and after gallery. Women in much worse shape had very impressive corrective reconstruction. Here's the rundown: My wife, and I couldn't be happier with Dr. Goldberg's work. He is truly an artist. In fact the results were better even then he anticipated. Her tummy tuck looks completely natural, like she never had children. Her tummy is flat and the local fat that surrounded her waist is gone. Not like a Dominican Republic special where they remove ribs to make you look like a caricature. ALL my wife's clothes fit her now, the clothes that she stopped wearing hiding in her closet... In fact shopping is a breeze. She has a brand new and cute bellybutton! For big jobs like this the Dr. works out of Dobbs Ferry- St Johns local hospital- 5 stars for the hospital as well. Surgery lasted five hours and she stayed overnight in a private room. The total cost of his services, anesthesiology and the hospital fees were very reasonable and the extra night there only cost an additional $500. Dr Goldberg's credentials are stellar and he has been working with this particular hospital for almost 20 years. The staff and nurses are very attentive. Other Dr's there also check in on you during your recovery. One nurse shared that she also works with the Dr. in his surgical suite out of his office on smaller procedures and that the Dr. takes his time during every procedure: he is a perfectionist and has safety redundancies at every step of the way. Even the meals at this hospital are of restaurant quality. Follow up visits are in his Scarsdale office right on Central Ave., with plenty of parking. His entire staff there is very accommodating, professional and pleasant. I would recommend Dr Goldberg to anyone.

I met Dr. Ciardullo back in 2003 when I made an appointment to see him for a breast augmentation consultation. This was going to be the first big surgery I'd ever have and I was nervous about the appointment so I brought my mom with me. During the visit he made us feel very comfortable, explaining the whole process from start to finish, pre-op, post- op etc. He listened to our concerns and spent the visit answering all of our questions without rushing. After going over the details of the procedure, he gave us a tour of his operating suite (which I felt was more of a comforting setting as opposed to being in a large hospital). After the visit my mother and I decided this was the doc for us! We booked the appointment and came in a few weeks later for the procedure. I was very nervous the morning I went in but he reassured me everything would go smoothly (and it did!). The anesthesiologist and nurses who took care of me were all very sweet - in fact, the anesthesiologist, nurses and front staff that were present for my breast augmentation over 10 years ago were also there for my rhinoplasty last month! Since having my first surgery in 2003, I have gone to him for every procedure I've had (including a chin implant, fillers and botox). I have referred friends and family who have also had rhinoplasties, breast augmentations and abdominoplasties (tummy tuck). The way he speaks to patients is so incredibly disrespectful and downright disgraceful. After expressing my concerns with the results of the rhinoplasty he performed, he essentially told me to seek psychotherapy and then pulled up photos of a celebrity to tell me not even she is perfect (to be clear, I never asked for perfection, or to look like a celebrity -- this was just one of the ridiculous ways in which he was trying to make a point..) I remained completely calm while listening to him say these horrendous and shocking things; I let him finish speaking and then told him I was shocked by his responses and upset -- he then just got up and walked out of the room like a child having a tantrum. This person is a complete fraud. Beware of Steven Pearlman.
