Manny always does a great job with my knives. Treats them well, and his turn around time is great. My knives are a little pricier than the average knife, and I trust him 100% with them. Recently had a family member misuse and chip one of my knives and Manny was able to restore the edge to a flawless sharp edge. read more

It's so awesome to find a sharpening service in East LA and not need to drive out to DTLA or randomly find a sharpening service at a local farmers market. He doesn't work weekends so he can be a caregiver to family so come over on those teleworking days. He knows his stuff and I've brought 3 knives over to him at different times. Cool guy to talk to-we were talking about how Anzen hardware store doesn't sharpen anymore owner getting old (store now closed). They all know each other. An old craft to support. Your kitchen knives will be sharp watch out! read more

I just want to start and say that I've been dealing with Manny for over 10 years. I used to watch a barber by the name of Ron Legend on youtube and he used to shout out Manny in his tutorial videos and I thought I'd give him a try. the 1st time I spoke with Manny he spent time getting to know my needs for what I was using my trimmers for. asking questions like was I cutting kids and suggesting how I should have my blades set for certain clients. definitely will always come back to manny for all of my clipper sharpening and care needs. Thanks Manny read more

I took in these three knives to get sharpen and the 12inch to get reshaped on the tip since it chipped. Manny did a wonderful job!! returned customer. Good people. Good business. Top notch service. Zero complaints. I Strongly Recommend

Manny definitely is awesome at his job and most importantly honest. We have a small mobile pet grooming business so he sharpens our tools. My Andis Pulse ZR II Cordless Clipper stopped working in the middle of a grooming session! first thing I did was call manny even though he was about to close he still waited for me to arrive and help me figure out what was wrong with it. He told me from the very beginning it might be the switch or the board. Turns out it was just fur and needed a good deep cleaning inside! lol He resolved my issue, and I was so happy with the way he explained things to me and his honesty. Bottom line is if you are looking for a good reliable sharpening service, give Manny a try! read more

This man, knows what he is doing. He knew exactly how to sharpen my shears the right way and how to sharpen my clipper blades. There's a few things that I personally do to check to see if my stuff was sharpened right and he passed my test. I don't care about price when it come down to sharpening my tools, as long as they are done right. The only thing that I wish was better was his customer service, the man is a nice guy, he's just a little rough around the edges when you talk to him. Thanks again, Manny! You have gained a customer! read more

I was looking for a place where to sharpen my paper cutter and I found this family business. Unfortunately, Manny explained he no longer has the special tools to sharpen the blade for the paper cutter, but he was very kind to adjust the blade (that was new) and he also gave me tips on how to better use the cutter. I also took my hair clippers and Manny and his family sharpen & clean them while I was waiting. It took me 30 minutes driving on the fwy to get there and I found it worth it. Nice, friendly people and a quick and well done service. read more

We needed our three Oster a5 10 clipper heads sharpened. I called the shop 6/1/20 and arranged to drop off the blades and our A5 clipper at 9 am 6/2/20. We went to Target nearby and got a text for approval for two moving parts to be replaced. We checked out of Target and drove up to their shop. It was 10 am and the quality of work and professionalism is world class. read more

I went about a week ago to get 8 shears sharpened and I was beyond amazed at how sharp my shears were left. I've tried multiple shear sharpeners for my grooming shears and they would either leave some shears super dull or sharpen the wrong side, at manny's, they not only discussed what the previous sharpeners has done wrong but did it all at a very good price. They are 10/10 for your grooming shear needs read more

Only complaint I have is that he's so far from me! I've gotten blades sharpened by him and honestly he did a great job. They cut like butter and the sharpening service was fast and easy drop off. He was very accommodating because I was on a tight budget. I would definitely recommend this sharpener for pet grooming blade sharpening. read more

Awesome business. Great customer service. It's like a small booth operation out of backyard of your good neighbor. They did a terrific job on my 2 clipper blades and gave me back in less than 20 minutes in a plastic back with receipt and a free small container of clipper blade oil and even advised on how to reattach the blades the right way. I can't believe that there are people that actually CARE about their customers. read more

I took my two clippers to Manny recently. One of the clippers needed a new blade, while the other needed sharpening. I went to lunch, came back an hour later and they were fixed. I took them home - they work great. Strongly recommend Manny's. read more

I read their good reviews and felt my tools would be in good hands, so about a month ago I decided to get my hair tools serviced by Manny's Sharpening. They are truly professional! They were able to detect a previous service done on one of my thinning shears incorrectly and it made a lot of sense because even that one thinning shear felt like it lost its sharpness very very quickly. I could tell the difference between their service and the previous place I went to. My clippers were also previously sharpened at this other place and on my first client that I used it on (0 fade) it scratched his skin whereas with Manny's Sharpening I've had nothing but a super good experience. All my tools work so well and I'm super impressed! I can tell they truly care for the service they provide and that's what makes the difference! I'm definitely getting my tools serviced by them again. I'm forgetting to mention that they also provided a box for me to mail them my tools in the future so that's even more convenient! read more

Great husband and wife business. Sharpened my chef knives in remarkable time. Friendly caring people about what they do. Thanks

I'm so glad i searched on google, for just the right business who repair damaged clippers. In my case, i needed my ANDIS STYLINERS 2 repaired. Upon my search, "MANNY'S SHARPENING" popped up. So i called the number listed, and i spoke with MANNY himself, wasn't no transfer to voicemail, nor any such "phone tag"... MANNY took my call, and was extremely patient with listening to the problems i was having with my clippers. He was very experienced, as well as knew exactly the model/brand of clippers, and was extremely friendly and most of all"PROFESSIONAL". Overall, my ANDIS STYLINER 2, was sent bakc to me like as if, they were brand new out the box... POINT IS: i'm so glad i've chosen MANNY'S SHARPENING, i'd give it 2thumbs up, and 5stars, and i will most definately recommend his business to my fellow barbers that i've cut, and styled hair with. GOOD JOB"MANNY" YOU'RE THE BEST.... till next time... read more
