This is my follow up review…read more I would like to start by thanking Jimmy, the owner of the company for reaching shortly after I posted the review. Jimmy is a professional, a man of God, a pererson with integrity, and a humble heart. Quickly did he offer to make things right and I gladly gave him the opportunity. He checked my file and clarified the financing wonky loan statement by the finance company. Everything was cleared after I spoke with the goofy finance company. After I explained to him my first day experience and my zoning situation, Jimmy refunded me $419. Jimmy when beyond and with persistence to make thinks right and have a happy customer. I live and work by the same standards and he highly deserves 5 stars. Thanks Jimmy! You're a great businessman and a Godly man. You have won my future business and I will highly recommend you. The outlet was installed within the next couple of days and got the permit filed for inspection the day we signed the contract to begin work. The installed took about 5-6 hours with power being shut off for 20 minutes. The inspection is something the owner would have to call the city to arrange the date. John provided the number to call. New units are expensive but they offer financing and after some googling I went with the lowest standard model and was able to have an install the next day, so just one day of sweltering! Juan and Alan came out and did a professional job installing and when they ran into a problem with my existing blower (located in the base heater) Frank came out and was more than accommodating and even drove for an hour to get a replacement. Not sure what he wants to do by stalking our information and being intrusive to our life. He insists to come back to my house which I refuse to give him permission. He threatens my wife by telling her that he used to be a bad guy, and I don't understand why he starts getting violent and seek revenge against my family. So I decided to file restraining order with Los Angeles County Court to protect my family against his violent nature and behavior, per our lawyers advise.

Jerren is no longer with the company and my experiences for service calls / warranty repairs working Jason has been very disappointing. One of the mini splits stopped working and the replacement parts needed from LG took a very long time arrive. It was close to 2 months without air conditioning in the middle of the summer. I understand this was out of Icy Hot's control, however, it was very difficult to get updates from Jason on the status of the parts (even if there no update to provide). It was clear he doesn't care about supporting his existing customers. I had to call the parts supplier to put pressure on them to get the parts needed. It was eventually fixed and I moved on. The same issue happened again about a year later as diagnosed by Jason but this time he just simply ghosted me. Calls, voicemails and texts to his office number and cell went unanswered. It's been almost a month since he went out for the service call with 0 update. I had to hire another company to diagnose the issue and had to pay for the parts that were under warranty just to get this issue resolved so I'm not without heating and cooling for another month. If you go with Icy Hot don't expect to get any support after your payment clears and any warranty offered will be so difficult to use that it will be practically useless. Be weary of any older reviews mentioning Jerren as things have clearly changed from when Jason took over. He simply just doesn't care about his customers and does not stand by the products he installs.

After inspecting the system, they told her she needed an entirely new HVAC system and claimed the job would cost around $28,000, saying it would be even more because of asbestos concerns. Thankfully, before signing anything, we got a second opinion from a company recommended by a trusted friend. They diagnosed the actual problem, repaired the existing system for $1,400, and had it running like new. They also told my mother the unit was in great overall condition and that anyone insisting it needed immediate replacement was not giving her an honest assessment. Whether this was incompetence or an attempt to sell an unnecessary replacement, the result was the same: a homeowner was told to spend tens of thousands of dollars when a relatively inexpensive repair solved the problem. Always get a second opinion before replacing an HVAC system. In our experience, doing so saved my mother more than $26,000. Based on what happened to us, I would strongly recommend staying away from Cypress Air.
