Service is below average. Came in looking for a bike seat greeted the two men in the front just to be hit with a "what do you want" response. I kept my composure asked for a bike seat and pricing was even worse $80! I politely declined and walked out ordered a better seat on Amazon for $20. I understand that it's important too help community based business, but business also need too treat the consumer and community with love and care. read more

Even though they are my local bike shop, i go elsewhere because i've had only bad experiences. Not friendly at all! I was on my way to the Compton Courthouse on my Pure Fix single speed, fixed gear, and the right side handle just - what's the term? - buckled on me. I took care of business first (of course) and then looked around for a bike shop, and there it was, in all its glory - MANNY'S BIKE SHOP - almost under the bridge, where the tarps don't leak, where there aren't any pets, but that spot stays put, and we're grateful for it. There were some choice vehicles in that place, with wrought chrome and white walled tires. Beautiful bicycles everywhere, kind of make a fellow get a little bit excited once again, like a kid you might say. I suppose his name was Manny...he replaced my handle bar, and I sure appreciate that. Now I sit upright, and my back isn't hunched over and my vision is keen again. Thank you Manny! read more

I was in need of a few upgrades on both my bikes ASAP. I was looking to go for a ride on Sunday, so I came in first thing in the morning Saturday. The shop was open and willing to help me with my bikes. They quickly gave me an estimate and told me that they would be ready in 30 min. Just what I needed it! Went to Manny's Bike Shop today for the first time. My son ordered a new Fixie frame and fork, and he wanted to swap his old Fixie parts for the new ones. Prior to going to Manny's, we went to another local bike shop that we'd frequented in the past. They told us that it would take 3 weeks to swap the parts because they had 1 job in front of his, and they weren't familiar with the new frame. They also didn't provide a quote but told us they'd call with more information later. Needless to say, my son was frustrated and disappointed. Things didn't sit well with me, so after leaving the bike there and getting home, Googled bike shops near me. Manny's was first on the list with an impressive 4.5 stars! I told my son about it and we immediately retrieve his bike from the first shop and took it to Manny's. In less than 15 minutes, Manny gave us a price along with letting us know that it would be finished today or tomorrow. My son received a call less than 2 hours later telling him that his bike was ready. We are both extremely satisfied with the service and price. read more

I called for an estimate, the owner had attitude off the start, i really wanted to check out the store i was really Interested, but the owners attitude changed my mind, i rather go somewhere where they value me as a customer. Worst Place to go to in my opinion i don't feel welcomed, somewhere where they treated you like your nothing feels really uncomfortable. I just moved to Cali and I needed a beach cruiser right away, I did my yelp research and decided to go to this place. First of all, I bought the exact bike I wanted at the CHEAPEST price in the city by far. Manny was extra helpful, I don't know a thing about bikes and he answered all my questions. I was also able to take the bike for a little test drive. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and NOT pushy. Today, a week after buying my bike, I brought my friend there and she also purchased a micargi 7 speed cruiser for 199! again, cheapest price anywhere we've looked and great quality! Don't go here. Period. I was researching for bikes because I'm looking to make a transition from daily driver to daily biker so I was looking for nice road bikes to make the transition. I look on yelp as I usually do to find a nice place and I saw this place and said to myself.."Why not?" I live nearby and it only had one review so maybe this was one of those gems in the city. Boy was I WRONG!! I come in and when he greeted me he said "What do you need?" Umm obviously a bike but hey maybe he had a long day so I brushed it off. I asked him if he had any bikes for commuters and he said "Just what you see in the store is what I have" Wow...talk about no customer service so I kindly thanked him and left. I will not patronize a business that has no customer service regardless of what kind of day you are having. I hope they can fix this because as more and more people try to make the switch due to these ridicolus gas prices we have right now they will be missing all these opportunities to make money. read more

I came here when my bicycle tire popped once I got to work (At the Woodley Airport) and he took care of my two tires while talking about his second job as an assistant pastor. Very interesting guy! Anyway, two days later one of my inner-tubes popped again, so i went back and he did a thorough search of what caused the pop and replaced the inner-tube without charge. Thank you so much, Manny! I took 3 bikes to get fixed. They replaced sprockets,tires and adjusted brakes. I was happy with the price. Customer service was ok.. it could have been better. I had to call in and check the status on my bikes; the shop never called me to tell me my bikes were ready for pick up after they took my info. read more

I needed to have my running stroller repaired (it had a flat tire). I took it in and they repaired it in 30 seconds. My brakes needed to be adjusted as well, which the guy fixed quickly. All of this was $14, which is a good price, I thought. Manny was friendly enough and showed me all the bike work his shop does. He seems like a real professional bicycle creator. Sure, perhaps the first impression customer service wasn't as outstanding as some other chain stores, but I had a good experience and I would recommend it to others. read more

stuff was cheap. but i went to get brake pads and they are already worn down 3 months later. and after they put my pads on my gears are mysteriously no longer working. also when i had them adjust my brakes before i ended having to buy entirely new brake lines and i dont know why. so go here to buy parts, but put them on yourself or go elsewhere. dont let them work on your bike because when you get it back you will have new problems that didnt exist before. read more
